Today the milk production per cow is increasing but the milk delivered by the Swedish farmer contains less amounts of fat and protein than earlier. The contents have decreased since 1993. In average the milk contain 4,2 percent fat and 3,4 percent protein. Earlier the fat content in milk was important. Nowadays the dairy?s attention has turned to the milk?s valuable proteins, principally the caseins, which have a considerable nutritional value and are important for several dairy products like cheese and yoghurt.
Automatisk genreklassifikation : en experimentell studie
This thesis aims at examining to what extent a few, algorithmically very easily extractable document features can be used to classify electronic documents according to genre. A set of experiments is therefore carried out, using only 11 such simple features in an attempt to classify 84 documents belonging to electronic academic journals into three manually identified genres: table of contents, article, and review. The 11 features are also divided into three sets, containing metrics of words and sentences; punctuation marks; and URL links, respectively. The performance when using these sets of features is then measured with regard to classification accuracy, using a k-NN classifier, four different values of k (1, 3, 5, 7), and both leave-one-out and 10-fold cross-validation. The housing sector of today represents for almost 40% of the energy consumption, an energy consumption of which the major part consists of non-renewable energy sources. This is not sustainable and utilization of new energy-efficient technologies in buildings can be a step in the right direction, towards a sustainable energy society.This report has been made on behalf of and in cooperation with Älvstranden Utveckling AB in Gothenburg to examine how future energy-efficient technologies can affect the energy demand in energy-efficient multi-dwelling buildings.The report is based on Älvstrandens passive house, Hamnhuset, a house whose energy consumption is far below the BBR's requirements. The report looks at the opportunities for improvement within windows, insulation, solar energy technologies, as well as white goods. Computer simulations are then made to apply the selected technologies into a reference building. Technologies are selected from an energy efficient perspective and no account has been taken of other aspects such as the economy.
Utvärdering av automatiska snödjupsmätningar med en SR50A Sonic Ranging Sensor
I Sverige utförs dagligen observationer av snöns djup och utbredning under snösäsongen.Observationerna används till exempel för att årsvis avgöra maximalt snödjup, snötäckets första ochsista dag samt antal dygn med snötäcke på olika platser. Traditionellt utförs snödjupsmätningarmanuellt med en enkel mätpinne, men med ny teknik kommer nya möjligheter. Med enultraljudssnömätare kan automatiserade snödjupsmätningar utföras med bättre upplösning i bådetiden och rummet vilket därmed ger bättre uppfattning av snöns tillväxt, hopsjunkning samtsmältning och innebär att alla signifikanta förändringar i snötäcket garanterat kommer observeras.I denna utvärdering har en jämförelse gjorts av manuella och automatiska snödjupsmätningarutförda parallellt på samma plats men med olika frekvens. Instrumentet som utvärderats är enSR50A Sonic Ranging Sensor uppmonterad vid Institutionen för geovetenskapers mätstation vidUppsala universitet. Vid mätstationen görs även manuella snödjupsmätningar en gång per dag.
Nytt ventilationssystem till djurstallar :
There is two dairy farms in Sweden with ability to be opened on both long sides, one outside
Hjo and the other one, Brandstadholm, north of Sjöbo. When there is no measures and results
or not enough literature about natural ventilation and especially on this kind of air inlet, makes
my tests very interesting not only on Alnarp, but among other companies.
I would like to find out if there is any air movements direct on the cows, how high/low
temperature, air humidity, light intensity and noise standard inside the barn. Does
Brandstadholm fulfil the rules and regulations when it comes to climate inside the barn? Could
this system become the new dairy barn instead of the conventional barns in Sweden?
I am going to focus on the animals environment, after all they are the one who is going to
spend the most of the time in the barn.
I used five electrical loggers distributed inside the barn to measure the temperature and one of
the loggers measured the air humidity, every 15th minute. One logger were placed on the
outside which measured both temperature and air humidity.
Får tågförare tillräcklig trafikinformation via ATC-systemet? : En explorativ intervjustudie och utvärdering av dagens tågförarsystem på Kustpilen, Linköping-Kalmar
ATC (Automatic Train Control; automatisk tågkontroll) är ett säkerhetssystem som automatiskt bromsar ner ett tåg om föraren skulle missa en hastighetsnedsättning eller en stoppsignal. Systemet ger även föraren information om när det är dags att exempelvis sänka hastigheten. Detta genom tonstötar och blinkande siffror på ATC-panelen. Många förare anser dock att det saknas väsentlig information i gränssnittet till ATC-panelen, visar rapporter från Banverket (Kecklund, 2001). Eftersom information som skulle hjälpa föraren att planera körningen framåt i tiden saknas, och föraren därmed ofta väntar på indikationer från systemet, ?kör på pipet?, kan olyckor ske där ATC-övervakningen saknas eller gått ur funktion.

TheSwedish million programme in the 1970s is an example of how objective expertise gained control, whichled to the creation of outdoor environments where few wanted to stay and live.
Uthållig sanitet : en förstudie i staden Picota, Peru
The access to good sanitary facilities is an important factor that elevates the experienced living standard as it improves hygiene and reduces the transmission of deseases. The ratification of the millennium goals by 189 countries demonstrates that this is an important international issue. Together the countries have taken upon themselves that the proportion of the population that lacked access to sustainable safe drinking water and sanitary facilities in the year 2000 will have been reduced by half by the year 2015.
In Peru, the construction of sewage pipe networks to transport the sewage out of the direct human environment is progressing. The safety and sustainability of these systems can be questioned, since in Peru the sewage seldom receive any treatment before being emitted to a recipient. This is taking place in Picota and sorrunding villages as well.
In the last 25 years several systems implementing small-scale onsite treatment have been introduced throughout Latin America in an attempt to give more people access to sustainable and safe sanitary facilities, reducing water consumption and taking advantage of the agricultural values of the sewage fractions while protecting the environment from its negative impact.
In this study three different sanitary systems and the effects of different population growths were compared.
Hållbar utveckling i värdekedjan
Detta är ett examensarbete inom textil produktutveckling som har sin grund hos uppdragsgivaren Bellaobastian. Syftet med rapporten är att ge en inblick i miljöarbetet i värdekedjan hos mindre konfektionsföretag, vilka svårigheter som kan förekomma och hur den hållbara utvecklingen kan effektiviseras. Vi vill ge mindre svenska konfektionsföretag råd och förslag om hur de kan uppnå en tillfredställande nivå på deras miljöarbete utan tillgång till enorma resurser.Vi har utfört intervjuer, litteraturstudier samt jämförelseanalyser mellan företagen H&M, ACNE och Lindex. Vid diskussion och analysarbetet var det tydligt att miljöarbete i värdekedjan är en komplex process och att det är flera aspekter som spelar in.Vi har kunnat identifiera åtgärder som företagen kan utföra i hopp om att uppnå en mer hållbar utveckling, både specifika som tex, materialval men även mer övergripande som att ändra sitt synsätt. Åtgärderna vi kunde påvisa kretsar kring:- Minska överkonsumtion och effektivisera resurssparandet- Minska koldioxidutsläppen- Använd miljöledningssystem och märkningar- Ändra företagets synsättEn av slutsatserna vi kunnat konstatera genom våra undersökningar är att det inte räcker med att åtgärda problemen.

This master thesis investigates the possibilities of using GPS-information from trains to create a model of a railway system, register the routes of the the trains and predict how the trains will travel in the railway system.The thesis work was done at Icomera AB which is a company that specializes in internet connected vehicle solutions.We describe how the GPS-information is sent from the trains in the form of samples and investigate limitations and possibilities with the available information. About three million samples from 83 SJ-trains were analysed and the samples were filtered with the intent of removing erroneous information. We here found that about 30 % of the samples from the trains were unreliable.A solution for how the samples from the trains can be used to create a model of the railway system traveled by the trains is presented. We use a large set of historical samples and use cluster nodes and Hermite curves to generate a graph that represent the railway system with stations, nodes and the railway itself. A fully automatic solution is not presented since it did not fit into the time frame of the thesis; instead we created a simple tool which can be used to manually finish the model of the railway system.Furthermore, we describe how the railway system and the samples from the train can be used to register the routes the trains travel.

Detta har lett till en stor marknad för fjärravlästa elmätare som nu är ett måste för att kunna utföra den tätare avläsning som krävs. E.ON ES Sverige AB som är beställare av detta examensarbetet har specialiserat sig på att installera, underhålla och läsa av fjärravlästa elmätare åt nätägare.
