Idag äger Skanska ett antal tomter i området Silverdal, Stockholm, som ska bebyggas med kontor och bostadshus. Bostadshusen och kontorsbyggnaderna ska sedan säljas. Skanska vill därför göra en visualisering av området och använda som underlag vid försäljningen. Examensarbetets syfte är att ta fram en förenklad terrängmodell över Silverdal med hjälp avprogrammet Autodesk 3D studio max 9. Byggnaderna visualiseras genom gråa fyrkanter för att man ska få en bild av hur byggnaderna kommer att ligga i miljöerna.Allt som allt så anser jag att projektet gått bra efter att beslutet tagits att endast några fasta vinklar skulle färdigställas..

My Finnish grandfather had a passion for architecture, eventhough he wasn?t an architect. In the end of the 1950s he builta wooden summerhouse on a lot outside of a small villagecalled Lempäälä, close to the city of Tampere. Today the lotbelongs to my mother. Every time I visit our summerhouse, itmakes me want to do as my grandfather did ? to build a smallhouse next to it.My project is a proposal for a wooden house on mymothers lot.

Since the beginning of the new millennium the world?s population has increased exponentially fast. The majority of this growth has been accommodated for by urbanization of the developing world. This in turn has lead to a wide spread of informal settlements. Thus, areas of urban slums, that have risen illegally on the marginal lands within and at the periphery of the formal city.

Denna uppsats syftar att undersöka samt ta fram en modell över ett system i PC Spelet Power Soccer där användaren själv kan designa sin egen hemmaarena med hjälp av ett webbgränssnitt. Arbetet inleds med en begränsad enkätundersökning där användare fick bedöma betydelsegraden av olika inslag i en fotbollsarena. Efter resultatet av denna enkät togs en modell fram i Autodesk Maya med ett modulbaserat system. Detta kompletteras med ett webbgränssnitt där användaren väljer vilka delar som han vill placera på de olika platser som erbjuds. Till sist beskrivs själva modulen och hur den ska fungera..

A design methodology to mitigate timing problems due to long wire delays is proposed. The timing problems are taking care of at architecture level instead of layout level in this design method so that no change is needed when the whole design goes to backend design. Hence design iterations are avoided by using this design methodology. The proposed design method is based on STARI architecture, and a novel initialization mechanism is proposed in this paper. Low frequency global clock is used to synchronize the communication and PLLs are used to provide high frequency working clocks.

Uppsatsen behandlar officersboställen i Skåne från indelningsverkets tid (1682-1901), med särskild inriktning på byggnadsvårds- och bevarandefrågor samt på tillämpningen av lagstiftningen kring byggnadsminnen och annan kulturhistoriskt värdefull bebyggelse.Uppsatsens tidsmässiga fokus ligger på 1850-talet. Den bygger på arkiv- och fältstudier kring det trettiotal av Skånes 50 officersboställen som har karaktärshus uppförda enligt de av militären fastställda typritningarna. Mer detaljerade undersökningar, uppmätningar och foto­grafering har genomförts kring tre välbevarade boställen, Örsjö, Månstorp och Hjälmshult. Uppfölj­ningar har också gjorts kring fem boställen som har genomgått mer om­fattande och inte helt önskvärda förändringar. Det blir allt vanligare att ha stora fönster och glaspartier i bostäder och även i andra typer av lokaler. Tanken att skapa en öppenhet mellan inomhusklimatet och naturen utanför genom att använda sig av fasadglas, har haft stor genomslagskraft inom framförallt byggandet av kontorshus. Problematiken kring glasfasader är omfattande och det är många faktorer som spelar in. En stor utmaning är att lyckas utforma en fasad där man tar tillvara på solvärmen vintertid och samtidigt stänger ute den under varmare perioder.Rapporten innefattar en fördjupning i utformningen av solavskärmning med utgångspunkt från tre aspekter; solvärmelaster, dagsljus och det arkitektoniska uttrycket. Utgångspunkten vid utformningen har varit att skapa moduler som är tänkta att upprepas längs hela fasaden, i syfte att effektivisera produktionsprocessen.

Through the entry of web 2.0 the technologies behind web development has changed dramatically. Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) is the umbrella term for different techniques that make it possible to build rich and interactive user interfaces in today?s web browsers. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) describes how common services can be bundled and published so they can be consumed by different systems.The company SYSteam Evolution AB, which has requested this project, wanted a web application that shows a graphical activity chart in order to easier view ongoing projects. The goal for this project is to develop a demo platform that shows how AJAX and SOA can be used to create flexible and reusable applications.

Landscape architect is a profession that withholds varying tasks inside countries and between countries. In many countries the landscape architect profession does not exist. Spain is a country where the landscape architect profession is not recognized, and the professions that work with landscape architecture are architects, engineers, biologists and agronomists. "Paisajista", in English "Landscaper," is in Spain a common name for those who design gardens and parks. Sweden is one of the countries with most landscape architects due to its population and the profession is well established.

Gamla kvarter och dess historia är något som bör tas omhand. Men städerna växer och kräver större plats och effektivare användning av mark.Rapporten beskriver olika sätt att tillämpa hållbar utveckling för ett stadsområde med kulturintressen, detta med bevarande och stärkande av dess kulturhistoriska värden samtidigt som en utveckling sker.Området som har valts som exempel är kvarteret Almen i Karlstad. Kvarteret är relevant i sammanhanget då det pågår utredningar runt kvarterets utveckling. Kvarteret Almen har även flera kulturbyggnader. Arbetet har genomförts tillsammans med Sweco Architects i Karlstad och Karlstad kommun.Projektet har som mål att utveckla området i de sociala och ekologiska aspekterna av hållbarhet, samtidigt som kulturintressena tas om hand.

This paper examines the opportunities of landscape architect students to integrate with other students which are related to the landscape architects vocational field during their education. It also involves a discussion about the profession of landscape architects and the view of landscape architect students concerning who they will work with in their professional career. Six qualitative interviews were carried out to identify how one work with student exchanges, both within the landscape architecture education program and in voluntary forums during the students' leisure time. The interviewees have experiences of different student exchanges and different approach to landscape architecture education at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Alnarp. During the interviews, it emerged that the number of exchanges for different reasons steadily has declined in recent years. At the same time, the interviewed conceded that exchanges are important to prepare students for their professional career. An electronic survey was sent to all landscape architecture students at SLU Alnarp.

Kindergarden - How can we create different synergies between different fields that they can benefit from each other? What different activities will suit the kindergarden? How will our perception of the kindergarden, of its need and function in society, change?In this Degree Project in Architecture I will be investigating the combination of the kindergarden together with a restaurant and a dance studio. I believe these activities will harmonize since they have overlapping benefits: We all eat, move and grow.With the new architectural activities in mind, I will further investigate the importance of the kindergarden as a part of society, more specifically our perception of what function it may, may not or could fill. I share the idea with a lot of authors, scientist that we are headed toward a society where children are kept too safe, thus minimising their chance to experience and learn to cope with a harsh reality when they grow up as adults.
