Diabetes och sjukskrivningar - Är tillfällena och dagarna fler för diabetiker?
171 miljoner människor i hela världen har diabetes enligt World Health Organisations (WHO) senaste undersökning år 2000. Den kroniska sjukdomen påverkar individens hälsa och syftet med magisteruppsatsen är att undersöka om diabetiker har fler sjukskrivningstillfällen och sjukskrivningsdagar än icke-diabetiker? Uppsatsen empirisk data kommer från HILDA (Health and Individuals Longitudinal Data and Analysis) och teorin baseras på Grossmans ekonomiska teori om individens hälsoinvesteringsbeteende (2000) samt Kristian Bolin et als (2002) utökning av Grossman teori. Ekvationerna i uppsatsen bygger på teorin men det är nya hälsomått på efterfrågan på och investeringen i hälsa; sjukskrivningsdagar ? respektive sjukskrivningstillfällen.
Rekrytera olika : En kvalitativ studie av fyra olika organisationers val av rekryteringsmetoder
Studiens syfte var att undersöka varför fyra olika organisationer använder vissa rekryteringsmetoder. Utifrån detta syfte formulerades en frågeställning om vilka bakomliggande orsaker som kan påverka valet av rekryteringsmetoder i dessa fyra olika organisationer. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av kvalitativasemistrukturerade intervjuer med fyra organisationer, varav två verkade inom privat sektor och tvåverkade inom offentlig sektor. Studien visar att de fyra olika organisationerna använder ett flertal olika rekryteringsmetoder vid tillsättandet av lediga tjänster. Valet av de olika metoderna kan ses grunda sig på olika bakomliggande orsaker; organisationernas uppgift, organisationens omvärld, makt och styrning samt tillgången på resurser.

The material is analyzed using descriptive tools, cross tables and correlation matrices in which general characteristics as well as individual understandings of the network communication are presented and discussed.Main results: The general results indicate that the network communication serves important purposes, such as providing support and motivation for the members and changing attitudes towards equal opportunities. The analysis suggests that the network members have good communicative possibilities to serve as agents of change within their organisations. Moreover, there is an observed relation between, on the one hand, organizational context and, on the other hand, the network members? own communicational behaviour and their experienced possibility to influence their organizations.Keywords: network communication, diffusion of innovations, behaviour change, Equal Opportunities Act.
Trafficking/människohandel : En människas egentliga värde
With focal point on the national directions, created by Länsstyrelsen (Swedish county administration) in cooperation with National Method support against Trafficking (NMT), this paper aims to depict the phenomena trafficking and also portray the concurrent counteracting against trafficking in Sweden that authorities exert. All involved participants in this mechanism have their particular remit and their ability to interact is hence of utmost significance.In order to fully comprehend and be able to analyze these unified operative execution-elements and processes in Sweden we also have to understand what is proceeding in the international arena. The organized crime-combine is not restrained by boundaries and continuously develop and refine methods in sexual trafficking, that has grown into an expanding multibillion industry. Therefore we will also, in our report, present international machines such as International Organization for Migration (IOM).In regard to the proceedings in the international arena, concerning empirical and methodical techniques and information of research findings, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) occupies the leading place in the analysis.The main focus, the cornerstone of this paper, is an inquiry into the formerly relatively unknown and unexplored aspects of what happens to individuals who have been subjected to sexual trafficking in Sweden after governmental intervention implicating forced re-allocation to the country-of-origin.
Attraktiva fördelar : - en undersökning om en privat organisations arbete med employer branding, arbetsgivarvarumärke och EVP
Ökande konkurrens mellan företag har gjort att det blir allt viktigare att profilera organisationen som en attraktiv arbetsgivare för att på så sätt kunna attrahera kompetent personal så att företaget kan bibehålla positionen på marknaden.Studiens syfte har varit att få kunskap om hur processerna kring arbetsgivarvarumärket bedrivs, vilka fördelar som anställda uppfattar att en anställning i företaget innebär samt vad företaget behöver arbeta med för att attrahera framtida personal. 43 webbaserade enkäter med personalen, 12 enkäter med högskoleklass tillhörande målgruppen, 2 kvalitativa intervjuer med HR-personal samt 44 miniintervjuer med potentiell framtida personal har genomförts för att besvara följande frågor: hur arbetar organisationen med employer branding? hur upplever de anställda organisationens EVP? och vad efterfrågar potentiella medarbetare hos en framtida arbetsgivare?Resultaten visar brister i det strategiska arbetet kring employer branding processerna. En lyckad intern strategi har medfört stark organisationskultur och organisationsidentitet som skapat lojalitet gentemot arbetsgivarvarumärket hos de anställda. Den externa strategin särskiljer dock inte arbetsgivarvarumärket från varumärket, och ett starkt EVP saknas då identitet, profil och image inte överensstämmer.Nyckelord: Arbetsgivarvarumärket, Employer branding, Employee value proposition, attrahera personal, privat organisation.

AbstractThe development of our society has in many ways changed the relationships between the political parties and the citizens. Fewer citizens are active in political parties, which has contributed to the fact that we see a form of catch-all effect and a development of parties that organizes more in forms of professional organisations. This paper has made a research of modells of democratic ideals and values between leaders and party-members in political parties in the local area. The purpose has been to show how these ideals and values can reflect back on the political development. The result shows that the development has created a form of catch-all effect and a professionalism in the parties.

The purpose of this thesis is to find out the reasons and perhaps some answers to the problem as we see it, the sickness benefit expiration of those who experience this. By this said we have also taken into account the different laws and adjustments in the long-term sickness benefit, but also major reformation of the security net in the Swedish society. The efficiency of the law on passive long-term sickness absence was added in July 2008, but was later in January 2010 supplemented. The purpose of this law wasn?t only to reduce the long-term sickness absence but also to reduce exclusion.
Kvinnors rättigheter och icke-statliga Organisationer, a perfect match?
Since the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) was adopted in 1979 there has been evident progress in the area of women's rights in great parts of the world, although this progress is still foremost concentrated to the Westernhemisphere. In Argentina, the work with gender equality and women's rights set of strongly during the last decade. The country has ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and the Inter-American Convention on the Prevention, Punishmentand Eradication of Violence against Women "Convention of Belem Do Para" but still women and girls are victims of structural discrimination and serious impunity of their rights on a daily basis.The current situation proves that the positive changes within the context of international and national law do not necessary reach out to the population to the same extent. In the light of the lacking popular involvement and knowledge of their rights, a different type of solution is desirable. Therefore it would be of interest to examinate the role of Non Governmental Organisations (NGO:s) when it comes to implementing human rights in the society and ?the every day life?.
Arbetsmotivation ur ett chefs- och medarbetarperspektiv : En studie av Handelsbanken
Syfte med denna studie var att undersöka arbetsmotivation ur ett chefs- och medarbetarperspektiv i en av Sveriges storbanker. Till följd av den tekniska utvecklingen och ökade konkurrensen från omvärlden har arbetsförhållandena för de anställda på Sveriges arbetsmarknad förändrats. Färre medarbetare känner sig motiverade i sitt arbete på grund av det allt hårdare arbetsklimatet. En kvalitativ studie genomfördes på Svenska Handelsbanken. Totalt genomfördes 12 kvalitativa intervjuer med chefer och medarbetare på två kundkontor i Stockholmsområdet och på Handelsbankens huvudkontor.
Olika kommuner - olika förutsättningar? : En jämförande studie av två olika kommuners missbrukarvård och dess konsekvenser för klienten
Our main purpose has been to describe and compare two community's ways of organising and executing the social welfare sectors drug and alcohol abuse programs. We also wanted to explain the similarities and differences we found with the help of an organisations theoretical perspective. A second purpose has been to try to find out if the difference affects the clients possibility to receive equal care.To find out how the community's organise and execute their drug and alcohol programs, we interviewed two social workers in leading positions in Landskrona and Ängelholm. We have further more, to find out if the differences we found influencing the clients possibility to recieve equal care, completed an inquiry with fictional cases that all of the involved social workers, at each community, built an opinion upon.Our main result showed more simmularities than differences in our two community's ways of organasing and executing their drug and alcohol programs. We judged the clients possibility to adequate care to be equally sufficient no matter where he sought care, since our study showed that the social workers choice of approach did not differ significantly between the two communities, even though we found differences in their way to organise and execute the social welfare sectors drug and alcohol abuse programs..

This Masters thesis is performed at the request of the National Board of Forestry in order to investigate how the Swedish municipalities use their forests. The study is of general character with emphasis on the social values of the forests.
The municipalities? purposes with their forests have varied over time, but lately the social aspects have been recognised as interesting. The social values of the forests can be defined as the values from the forests that contribute to the wealth of humans. This has socio-economic importance for the municipalities.
The study was performed as a quantitative questionnaire survey, complemented with qualitative interviews.

In this essay, I investigate Swedish possibilities to influence the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP). After having summarized my findings, I try to explain the structure of influence by using Multi-level governance theory.Ten years have passed since Sweden joined the Union, and many changes have followed in the agricultural sector. By investigating the small country of Sweden's possibilities to influence CAP, I hope to be able to get a notion of the possibilities to influence the EU in general. The essay examines four possible paths for agricultural interests to influence the policy process in Brussels:* Through elected representatives of Sweden in the European Parliament, the Council of Ministers and in the Swedish Parliament* Through subnational institutions, such as the local authorities and regional representatives.* Through the Swedish Agricultural Office* Through the Swedish pressure group within the agricultural area, LRFThese four groups all have very different channels to the policy process on agricultural issues. The differences are mostly in terms of decisive power or advisory power and institutional contacts or lobby contacts.

This essay illustrates the rules and procedures when it comes to inclusive labor markets. In Sweden we have a labor market program called entry-level jobs, which makes it easier for immigrants to get work since our public employment agency pay remuneration to the employers.In this essay I am answering the following questions:How does the work of our public employment agency and trade union looks like before, during and after an employee has gotten a subsidized employment called entry-level job, and in which way can this work be improved if necessary?How extensive do entry-level jobs contribute to increased integration and establishment on the labor market for newly arrived immigrants?How does the Swedish measure on entry-level jobs approach within the scope of European regulations about measures for inclusive labor market?To find answers to my questions I have used social science methodology and juridical method. I have performed document studies and interviews with concerned parts.The conclusion of above subordinated questions is that we need to extend the Swedish laws covering entry-level jobs so that the concerned parts know which assignments they will be responsible for when problems emerge on a workplace.When it comes to if entry-level jobs contribute to increase integration and establishment on the labor market it seems to be more important to integrate the immigrants quickly, and with which quality it is made does not seems to matter. The public employment agency has to emphasize the importance of Swedish language so that the employees can be independent from authorities in the future.
