A large number of system development projects are allowed to proceed for too long, and leads to undesirable project outcomes. Research shows that more than half of the authorities involved reported that at least one of their projects have exceeded their budget, and that a third of all the projects had exceeded the budget. This problem led to the following research question: ?Which factors can explain projects continued escalation within public authorities?? To answer the question, a qualitative case study of the Swedish police?s implementation of PUST, a sort of case management system was conducted. The project received considerable media attention and a large amount of criticism was directed towards the project, partly because the project exceeded the timeframe and budget set at the start.

Dock är all säkerhet på något sätt beroende av den enskilde individens omdöme och kunskap. Hur går det avgöra att organisationen kan lita på individens omdöme och kunskap? Hur går det avgöra om en organisation har en god kultur kring säkerhet? Genom att utvärdera säkerhetskulturen kan organisationer få ett utökat underlag i riskhanteringsarbetet samt en bättre förmåga att hantera det som hotar verksamhetens tillgångar. Studien handlar om hälsofrämjande arbete i en organisation kallad organisation X. Syftet med denna studie är att utifrån Antonovskys begrepp känslan av sammanhang (KASAM) utveckla kunskap om hur en organisations hälsofrämjande insatser stämmer överens med hur personalen uppfattar det hälsofrämjande arbetet. In the 1920s the law against vagrancy had been unaltered since it?s introduction in 1885. During that period, Sweden had undergone great social and political transformation in the wake of industrialisation, urbanisation and democratisation. The political landscape had changed and the social sciences were organising knowledge in new ways. The public opinion realised the need for a review of the vagrant law that better corresponded to the modern times.

The European Water Framework Directive (WFD; 2000/60/EC) was incorporated into the Swedish legislation in 2004 through the ordinance Förordningen om förvaltningenav kvaliteten på vattenmiljön (SFS 2004:660). Vi har genom vår fallstudie studerat hur kommunikationen under ett stort förändringsprojekt påverkad personalens motivation till sin arbetsuppgift och om deras attityd gentemot sin arbetsplats påverkats.
