Our purpose has been to review and analyse the representation of rape, as well as discussions concerning rehabilitation, present in texts targeted at professionals and/or female victims of rape. We wish to investigate whether female victims of rape themselves are given the opportunity of individual positioning with regard to the crimes they have been exposed to. We consider it to be of relevance that female victims of rape themselves are given the opportunity to act, react and feel individually in the context in which they find themselves, without judgement or certain expectations on how to act being dealt to them from their surroundings. Our research questions have been as follows; what views of the phenomenon that is rape are presented in the texts? Do the texts apply any specific theoretical analysis aimed at the possible explanations of the phenomenon that is rape? In what ways do the texts present the significance of rape for the female rape victim? How are the victims feelings of disgrace, guilt and disgust with regard to rape explained, are these reactions linked to the understanding of female sexuality? How are methods of the rehabilitation of female rape victims presented in the texts? Do the texts render possible any other/varying subject positions as a female rape victim? To answer these research questions we have applied a critical discourse analysis on our selection of texts and thereafter made a connection to relevant theory.

AimThe aim of this study was to, through a systematic literature review of evidence based electromyographic (EMG) studies, identify specific exercises for rehabilitation of the Serratus Anterior muscle. The research questions were: ?Which exercises can be recommended to use to activate the Serratus Anterior?? and ?Are the recommended exercises altered between studies on individuals with and without shoulder dysfunction??. MethodThe method was a systematic literature review. First the study aim and research questions were formulated. A research protocol was then formulated with inclusion and exclusion criteria and search terms.

This thesis explore women?s needs when reentering society after having served a sentence at the female prison Färingsö, outside Stockholm and whether those needs are being met in the reentry strategies that are being provided. Parallel to this the thesis also examines if there, based on nonconformity and gender theories, is a socially constructed representation of women maintained in the rehabilitation work.The method of this thesis applied semi-structured interviews and used snowball sampling to expand the network of informants to obtain the data necessary. Totally five interviews were carried out. Previous research has shown that women in prison have much more complex problems than men and that there is a need for reentry strategies that take gender in account.The results showed that in terms of being able to reenter back in society, women needed help to structure a previously chaotic life.

Audiologisk rehabilitering är en komplicerad process som ska innehålla olika insatser byggda på ett holistisk synsätt med medicinska, tekniska och beteendevetenskapliga aspekter involverade. Historiskt har dock den tekniska och medicinska delen ofta fått ta större plats än psykosociala bitar i rehabiliteringen.Syftet med studien var att undersöka likheter och skillnader angående audiologisk rehabilitering utifrån ramverket, ideologin samt praktiken i Danmark, Norge, Sverige och på Island.Metod: För att kunna uppnå syftet och få en mer helhetlig inblick i ämnet delades studien i två delar (litteraturstudie och enkätstudie). Litteraturstudien berörde ramverket i samtliga länder samt ideologin. Enkätstudien berörde praktiken i form av audionomens egen syn på audiologisk rehabilitering samt deras uppfattning av tillvägagångssättet på arbetsplatsen.Resultat: En röd tråd går genom ramverket, ideologin och praktiken i varje land. Vad gäller dessa huvudpunkter visade studien att det fanns både likheter och skillnader länderna emellan.

Samverkan inom psykiatri/socialpsykiatri inbegriper organisationer och de professionella roller som utgår ifrån olika lagar och riktlinjer, organisatoriska strukturer samt teoretiska och professionella grunder. Syftet med denna studie är att ge en bild av hur en kommunal socialnämnd och en lokal psykiatrisk verksamhet kan arbeta med en långsiktig strategi för samverkan.Denna fallstudie granskar samverkan mellan psykiatrin och socialtjänsten i en kommun i Stockholms län. Ansatsen är organisationsteoretisk och belyser de strukturer och processer som samverkan innebär. De organisationer som berörs tillhör olika administrativa och politiska sektorer inom landsting respektive kommun och innefattar olika professionella inriktningar såsom läkare, socialsekreterare, sjuksköterskor, psykologer, kuratorer, arbetsterapeuter, boendestödjare, mentalskötare m.fl. Fallstudien omfattar dels en dokumentationsstudie över avtal och rutiner för samverkan, utvärderingar och andra typer av dokumentation samt en intervjustudie av personer med olika professionella roller inom respektive organisation.

J.O. Mallander?s Extended Play (1968) is a sound recording, a readymade, of the counting of votes in two presidential elections in Finland, during 1962 and 1968. A voice repeats monotonously: ?Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen?? Although the Finnish president Urho Kekkonen represents, almost personifies, the politics of the post World War II period in Finland, Extended Play does not explicitly address the political. Rather, as this essay argues, it engages in the discourses of power and politics by providing a temporalization of its fixedness, or what Jacques Derrida terms the proper.Extended Play is, in parallel with Derrida?s critique of western metaphysics, a deconstruction in sound that challenges the state ideologies conveyed in the process of the counting of votes, where the presuppositions of the presence of the voice characterizes the ambiguities of power that Kekkonen?s politics of neutrality represent.Mallander?s readymade emerges as a double of the game theory strategies of the Cold War, a mimetic surplus of the administrative control mechanisms of sound recording.

This BSc thesis is a part of an initial step of a collaboration between Skansen and Kenyan Wildlife Service (KWS) and constitutes of an inventory of the Nairobi Animal Orphanage run by KWS. Animal Orphanage takes care of orphaned and injured animals arriving from throughout Kenya. The project started out as a refuge and as a temporary place for animals in need of care and help. With time it has evolved to an establishment that resembles and functions more like an animal zoo. The aim of this inventory is to focus on how the biological needs of Congo grey parrots ( Psittacus erithacus erithacus) and cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus) are met, in terms of management and housing.

Idag finns få studier gällande könsskillnader inom hörselvården, däremot finns forskning inom andra vårdområden. Hörselvården består bland annat av rehabilitering, där den tekniska hörselrehabiliteringen är en stor del. Den innefattar främst utprovning av hörapparater och hörseltekniska hjälpmedel.    Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om det finns några skillnader mellan män och kvinnor gällande den tekniska hörselrehabiliteringen.    Metoden för studien är kvantitativ och deskriptiv. En journalgenomgång inom ett enskilt landsting genomfördes. Totalt ingick patientjournaler för 56 personer i undersökningen.

AbstractAuthors: Mikael Gustafsson & Kristofer von WachenfeldtTitle: With help from people and cattle; to recover from mental illness in a rural environment [translated title]Supervisor: Kent-Inge PerseiusPurpose: The aim of this study was to examine feelings of recovery from mental illness in the perspective of individuals participating in Nymålen; a rural- situated facility focusing on recreation- and work- related interventions. The study took place outside of Oskarshamn, Sweden. The study focused on if, and in that case how, Nymålen contributes to recovery from mental illness. We were also interested in which factors affecting the recovery-process, as expressed by the participants themselves.Method: Eight individuals from Nymålen participated in individually performed semi- structured interviews. The collected data was then coded and categorized to enable further analysis by using Qualitative content analysis inspired by Graneheim & Lundman (2003).

En kvalitativ intervjustudie med syftet att beskriva hur personer med fraktur upplever rehabilitering i sitt eget hem. Intervjuerna ägde rum i sex personers hemmiljö med hjälp av bandspelare och en egenhändigt framarbetad intervjuguide. Deltagarna upplevde bland annat att det sociala nätverket och motivation hade stor betydelse samt att personalens goda bemötande, tillgång till hjälpmedel och den välkända hemmiljön bidrog till en upplevelse av trygghet under hemrerhabiliteringen.Slutsatsen är att deltagarna uppskattade möjligheten att få vara i sitt hem under rehabiliteringen..

Syfte: Att belysa hur faktorer inom områdena person, miljö och sysselsättning kan påverka delaktigheten hos personer med stroke vid rehabilitering i hemmet. Metod: Genom en litteraturstudie har tio vetenskapliga artiklar av kvalitativa och kvantitativ art analyserats utifrån Internationell klassifikation av funktionstillstånd, funktionshinder och hälsa (ICF) och Person Environment Occupation Model (PEO).Resultat: Resultatet visade att vårdtagare som rehabiliterats i sin hemmiljö upplever mer delaktig i rehabiliteringen i jämförelse med vårdtagare som har genomgått sin rehabilitering på sjukhus. Betydelsefulla faktorer till den ökade delaktigheten är bland annat att vårdgivare får anpassa sig till vårdtagaren, som därmed får ett ökat medbestämmande. Vårdtagare upplever en trygghet när rehabiliteringen äger rum i hemmet, eftersom det är där de har sina gamla aktivitetsmönster. Vårdgivare får även större möjligheter att identifiera vilka aktiviteter som tidigare varit meningsfulla för vårdtagaren. Minskad delaktighet kopplas i flera studier till informationsbrist hos vårdtagarna angående deras nya livssituation och rehabiliteringsinsatser.

Denna retrospektiva studie har som syfte att utvärdera effekten av en lösning bestående av salpetersyra, kopparnitrat, zinknitrat och bindemedel (Oxalic®), vid behandling av aurala plaque hos häst. Studien ämnar också jämföra och diskutera detta nya behandlingsalternativ i relation till den i litteraturen enda tidigare beskrivna behandlingen mot sjukdomen, 5 % imiquimodkräm (Aldara®). Journaler för åtta hästar som blivit kliniskt diagnosticerade och behandlade mot aurala plaque på UDS Hästkliniken i Uppsala samt på Hästkliniken Täby mellan 2011 och 2013 låg till grund för insamling av data. Djurägarna till alla de åtta hästarna hade sökt sig till specialistdermatologmottagningen på grund av att deras häst uppvisade tecken på smärta/irritation till följd av sina aurala plaque, vilket visade sig som öron- och huvudskygghet och gav svårigheter i den vardagliga hanteringen av hästen. Behandlingarna följdes upp på nytt genom telefonsamtal med djurägarna 12 till 28 månader efter sista behandling.

In the tropics, logging and wild fire can result in degraded secondary forests with lower biodiversity than in the natural forest. One way to limit forest degradation is to rehabilitate the present large areas of secondary forests. However, there is a lack of knowledge concerning the ecology of tropical tree species and further studies would be advantageous for future rehabilitation efforts of degraded rainforest. The objective of this study was to investigate how mother trees in secondary forest and different site factors affect the abundance and spatial distribution of natural regeneration of non-pioneer tree species in a tropical rainforest in Sabah, Malaysia. The study took place in the INIKEA Forest Rehabilitation Project area, which suffered from wild fire in 1983 and has been selectively logged over both before and after the fire. Natural regeneration and site variables were inventoried in plots, while mother trees were inventoried in the whole survey area.

Hydrotherapy is a relatively new area when it comes to treatment and prevention of different problems in dogs, but an area that is growing in popularity. In Sweden, the person who performs hydrotherapy on dogs doesn?t need veterinary education, which is the case in some other countries. What makes hydrotherapy advantageous is that water has an ability to provide an environment where injured body parts can be supported, which means that rehabilitation can start early without the risk of affecting the injury and in the same time relieve the pain for the patient. There are only a few studies of hydrotherapy on dogs and these studies focus on the physical health of the dog.
