?Bring your own device? i svenska företag och organisationer
Most companies and organizations today depend on technology connected to the Internet. Schools and offices have therefore been providing computers, phones and other technology to the employees. The recent technological development and decline in prices for technology have contributed to making these products a part of everyday life for most people. This has made it very common for employees and students to bring their own devices into school and workplaces.The aim of this study is to define what "Bring your own device" means for Swedish companies and organizations and how it has been implemented in those. The aim is not mainly to generalize to all Swedish companies but create an understanding how the trend is used to provide a basis for continued research in this area.
Manipulerar företag sina resultat - En studie av förekomsten av Earnings management i samband med nyemission på den svenska marknaden
The thesis aims to examine the occurrence of Earnings Management (EM) preceding Seasoned Equity Offerings (SEOs) on the Swedish capital market. EM refers to activities and adjustments carried out by managers. The underlying purpose of these actions is to adjust net income. The procedure is typically done by borrowing income from future periods. Evidence of EM around SEOs has been documented on capital markets around the world, and the effects on firms' post-offering performance are severe.
Bedrägerier och förväntningar : En studie av små företags åtgärder mot interna bedrägerier och deras förväntningar på revisorn gällande upptäckten av interna bedrägerier
Problem: Vilka åtgärder använder sig små företag inom kontantbranschen av för att förhindra och upptäcka bedrägerier? Hur ser företagen och revisorerna på ansvaret för att upptäcka bedrägerier utförda av anställda och skiljer sig företagens förväntningar från revisorns skyldigheter?Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur små företag arbetar för att förhindra och upptäcka bedrägerier. Syftet är även att studera om det finns ett förväntningsgap mellan företagsledningen och revisorerna gällande ansvaret att upptäcka interna bedrägerier utförda av personal. Metod: Denna rapport grundar sig på av en litteratur- och en empiristudie. Empiristudien genomfördes med hjälp av totalt sju intervjuer, fyra med företag inom kontantbranschen samt tre revisorer. Även kompletteringsfrågor skickades till tre av respondenterna. Litteraturstudien består av böcker och artiklar som erhölls från databaser och biblioteket på Mälardalens högskola samt Västerås stadsbibliotek.

Within the interconnected global markets of today; people, products, and information travel at a pace never met before. In light of the global retail markets recent integration, consumers are opened up to new products and are beginning to develop a vetted interest in the heritage of those products. Within literature this process has been coined "Country of Origin" COO, and its impacts on consumer attitudes, product value- assessment, and overall behaviors has been one of the most emphasized areas of "international business" studies, during the last three decades. Numerous studies have shown a correlation between positive or advantageous associations to a country of origin, and the actual products representing and coming out of that country. It is by this synergetic process that so-called positive COO-effects are brought forth.The goal of this thesis stems directly from the still unexplored potential for Swedish firms to differentiate their products and brands on new international markets, through a strategic and coherent communication of relevant Swedish COO-effects.

Computers and business systems are used more frequently in a world where IT gradually is taking over. This is also true when it comes to the real estate valuation process where actors on the Swedish real estate market are using automatic valuation systems for real estate appraisal. But the real estate agents have not yet seen the charm in using these automatic valuation systems for real estate appraisal. Can the real estate agents also use the automatic valuation systems? We developed our three main subjects: the valuation process, an automatic valuation system and the real estate market with assistance from scientific articles.

The environment has become an important part in people´s lives, and in today´s society stakeholders demands have increased upon companies when it comes to sustainability reports. How these sustainability reports are designed depends on whom it?s for, laws and regulations, and the companies own norms and values. The purpose of sustainability reports is to measure, monitor and compare a company´s enviromental impact. It?s not only about integrating economics, but also enviromental and social standards together to get both financial and competitive advantages.Sustainable Value method is a new model and is the first real method that can be used to evaluate a company´s resources, both financial, social and enviromental to a sustainable value.This model is used to compare the resource efficiency between companies.In this thesis, a documentary study with an experimental approach has been made.Sustainability reports from six selected companies (in the engineering and forestry sector) have been investigated with respect to their accounting for carbon dioxide, and an experiment using the method ?Sustainable Value Approach? was subsequently performed.

The aim of this study is to analyse the sexual power relations in contemporary urban novels of Swedish female writers.I have identified a discourse in these novels as a heteronormative matrix which power is ruled by norms and assumptions about normality in both the heterosexual and lesbian stories. For this purpose I have related to Ivar B. Neumanns theory that individuals always find a way to confront the discourse by three different strategies. These strategies are used in my study as tools to organise these novels, because it is possible to see that the protagonists find at least one of these strategy?s to her protest.The first strategy I studied was the docile.

A well functioning securities market is crucial for the economic development in these countries. The modern trading with stocks and other financial securities is characterized by the fact that the majority of the transactions at the stock exchanges are carried out through various intermediaries. The ultimate counterparties that are involved in a securities transaction (the seller and the buyer) are often unknown to each other. The anonymity in the securities trading implies several interesting legal problems.

A qualitative study of marketing communication on Facebook Pages: 36With the emergence of social media, new ways has been created for companies to reach out to its audience. From being dependent on journalists to provide information, companies today have the ability to self-publish information in the open media channels. The use of social media should not replace traditional marketing communication though, but works best as a complement. It is a new environment that requires the company to adapt its working methods. Although the work is different, it is important that companies see social media as part of the overall marketing communication and not as a separate project. The purpose of this paper is to study recipient?s experience of company?s communications in social media. We have chosen to relate this to the instructions on methods of marketing communication and social media marketing as found in literature on the subject. This is to examine whether firms achieve the desired effect of the methods that are considered most appropriate. Does the message reach out? The focus of this study is marketing communication in the social media Facebook. The study consists of qualitative interviews to illuminate the recipients' views and experiences, as well as a literature study from the theoretical perspective of the sender of marketing communication in social media. The results showed that business as well as audience must interact in a functional relationship in social media. Companies should be more like the customer they are trying to reach. If companies choose to expose themselves in social media, time must be given to this, which is what the audience expects. Ordning och reda - en studie om den interna kontrollens betydelse vid revision
I denna studie har vi undersökt vilken betydelse den interna kontrollen har för revisorn vid utförandet av en revision. Syftet med studien var att studera den praxis som revisorerna har gällande intern kontroll samt att öka förståelsen för vad de anser är viktigast i den interna kontrollen, men även hur de går tillväga om det finns brister.Det empiriska materialet insamlades genom att fyra intervjuer genomfördes med revisorer från fyra av de större revisionsbyråerna i Sverige. Intervjuerna genomfördes på respektive revisors byrå. Vi valde en kvalitativ forskningsansats eftersom vi ansåg att det var den mest lämpade metoden utifrån vårt syfte och de utgångspunkter vi hade. Vårt mål med studien var inte att generalisera vårt resultat, vi ville istället öka förståelsen för det studerade problemet.Den teoretiska referensramen utformades för det första utifrån de regler som finns för revisorerna, det vill säga Revisionsstandard i Sverige.
