Problem. With the Swedish public sectors problem with efficiency in mind, several reforms have beeninitiated during the last decades. These reforms go, in academic contexts, under the name?New public management?. The reforms have resulted in, among other things, an increasedcompetition, privatization and goal-orientation in the public sector.

Thee purpose of this study was to examine what helps in counseling against women victims of domestic violence, and how to identify empowerment in their experiences? It is a qualitative study using semi-structured interviews where the collected material is based on five interviews. The group we studied is victims of domestic violence who had taken part of counseling. The interviews were based on an interview guide that sought answers to women´s experience of counseling. The interviews were analyzed with the help of theories of support, domestic violence and empowerment.

The aim of this work was to investigate how it is to move in hierarchy from crew toofficer within the seafaring profession and how to be affected by this. How you areperceived by the crew when going from to represent a part of a system to represent adifferent part of the same system and if you are ready to assume the responsibilities of thenew role entails?This is relevant and interesting as we will soon is facing at this transition. Prestationsmätning används för att mäta anställdas prestationer och ett sätt att utvärdera dessa är genom att använda feedback. Feedback ger möjlighet att diskutera individers styrkor respektive svagheter och kan användas för att påverka ett beteende och framförallt för att påverka en individs arbetsinsats. När feedback ska förmedlas är det viktigt att återkoppling är anpassad efter personen som ska ta del av den för att feedbacken ska bli så effektiv som möjligt. Mottagaren av feedbacken bör se detta som något positivt för att förstå hur dennes handlingar påverkar både sin egen och hela organisationens prestation. Hur feedback förmedlas inom olika professioner kan variera på grund av att olika professioner också utvärderas på olika sätt.

Landscape architecture is a visual profession, but other senses also affect our interpretation of a place. Sounds can give us a lot of information about an environment, and they are often perceived as positive. Despite this, research about outdoor sounds most often focus on the reduction of unwanted sounds ? noise ? but the absence of noise does not result in a good soundscape. To accomplish this, sounds we appreciate are needed.

Företagens behov av revision beror på vilka krav och förväntningar som ställs på deras redovisning från olika intressenter och hur väl revisionen hjälper företagen att uppfylla dessa krav. Det avgörande är om företagen upplever att den nytta de får av att välja frivillig revision uppväger kostnaden. Många av de farhågor och förhoppningar som de olika intressenterna hade inför avskaffandet har infriats. Det är dock ännu för tidigt att se hur skatteintäkter, skattefel och ekobrottslighet påverkats, men det ser inte ut som att det ska få så stor inverkan som förväntat, om någon alls.

Social work is a social phenomenon, existing in most societies, that has given rise to a multitude of special organizations and professions. For that reason social work is dealing with a complex identity. The purpose of this study is to illustrate how social workers and the scientific discourse interpret the concept of social work. In addition to that the study intends to show similarities and differencies. The research process containes two studies, one based on qualitative interviews with five social workers and the other consisting a surway of academic litterature.

Bakgrund: Otillräckligt behandlad postoperativ smärta kan vara ett problem för patienten. Smärtupplevelsen är komplex, vilket gör att det kan vara svårt för sjuksköterskan att adekvat bedöma och registrera patientens smärta post-operativt. Sjuksköterskan måste i kontakten med patienten vara lyhörd, öppen och följsam. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa hur sjuksköterskan uppmärksammar den vuxne patientens smärta postoperativt. Metod: En litteraturstudie med åtta artiklar har genomförts med deduktiv kvalitativ ansats.

The purpose of this paper is to study how professional police officers perceive learning in their work. Aim: Auditors objectivity is an obvious part of auditing, but there is doubts and hesitation in society today because of the corporate scandals that have occurred in recent years. Several researchers suggest that auditors actions and behaviors is connected to the ethical climate within the organization. A relationship that also affects auditors objectivity and independence. This thesis aims to investigate how the ethical climate influence auditors choice of relationship to their clients, by choosing a relational and close relationship or a transactional and distanced relationship. And if the client approach have an effect on the auditors objectivity.Method: A survey was conducted among 232 certified accountants in Sweden.

The examination is focusing on the person who is working in the supervising position in a company. Two different case studies performed with qualitative interviews. One case study is in the service industry and the other case study is in the manufacture industry. The aim with this study is to bring greater understanding to the eventual problems of identity that a supervisor canexperience because of his/her working position boarder between groups. This considering three roles of the supervisor; one role as asupervisor, one role as a colleague and one role as a friend.

The purpose of this Master thesis is to investigate issues concerning the role of the public librarian and their work with adult learners. This is done by examining Studiebibliotek Halland, a project initiated and financed by Kulturrådet, with the aim of improving for adult learners to use the public libraries in Halland. The major questions raised in this study are: How do the librarians interviewed experience their role as public librarian since the number of adult learners at the public library has increased? In what way do the librarians think they have to change their work in order to meet the demands of the adult learners? How do they feel about the change? Do they think their work will change more as a result of the project? Data was collected through interviews and the study is a qualitative study. The main results are that the librarians have a very positive attitude towards adult learners using the public library.

AbstractThis study deals with outdoor education together with Swedish language teaching. In my future profession as a teacher I want to be able to offer my pupils varied, discovering and exploring lessons focused on nature. The aim of this study is to throw light upon outdoor teaching, hoping that more people will discover nature as the right place to learn.In my study I have asked these questions:? What is outdoor education?? How can Swedish be taught out of doors?? Why is this method a good complement to the traditional teaching in the classroom?With these questions in wiev I made three qualitative interviews with teachers with different backgrounds. In addition I have planned, taught and evaluated the lesson that is the basis of the result.Outdoor education should be given increasing time in school and be used as a complement to the traditional teaching in the classroom.

Efter den rikspolitiska psykiatrireformen i mitten av 1990-talet uppstod runt om i Sverige rehabiliteringsverksamheter för psykiskt funktionshindrade människor. Att utveckla samverkan mellan olika myndigheter och andra organisationer kom då att anses som viktigt för att berörda personer inte skulle hamna "mellan stolarna". Inom Eskilstuna kommun uppstod bland annat en arbetslivsinriktad interorganisatorisk rehabiliteringsverksamhet kallad ArbetsDax, med professionella på operativ nivå som kallades samordnare.Syftet med framställningen har varit att utifrån olika materialtyper i sociologisk mening försöka bidra till begripliggörandet av verksamhetens diskursiva karaktär och samordnarens professionskaraktär. Det förstnämnda var intressant utifrån antagandet att den språkliga praktiken utgjorde något högst väsentligt inom verksamheten - särskilt med fokus på hur klienter, samordnare och samverkan framställdes. Det sistnämnda var intressant utifrån antagandet att ArbetsDax samordnare kunde bidra med något kvalitativt/kvantitativt annorlunda än professioner på de "rena" myndigheter, främst försäkringskassan och arbetsförmedlingen, som ArbetsDax samverkade med.Den diskursiva karaktären inom verksamheten framstod i analysen som ett komplext konsensusarbete.

The purpose of this C-essay within the subject of religion is to form a notion as to how the attitudes towards women and their position in a theoretical biblical society might have been perceived, based upon a select number of texts from the first five books of the Bible (the Pentateuch).Since this essay was written under the framework of the teacher education programme, it is also integrated with the pedagogy subject. This manifests itself with the didactic reflection at the end of this essay, where I try to relate the subject of this essay to the teaching profession.The material, which consists of excerpts from the first and second chapters of Genesis, and aselection of the laws in the first five books of the Bible (from Genesis to Deuteronomy), wasanalysed according to an ideological model, where themes and patterns have been more important than specific word choices.The analysis showed that the views on women vary depending on who writes and who interprets a specific text extract, and the conclusion was that since laws reflect the society it is likely that they were created to improve women's status to make it as equal to the man's as possible.The didactic reflection offers suggestions for lesson plans on the themes gender, feminism andfeministic theology..
