Aim: The aim of this literature review was to describe newly breast cancer patient?s perception of information provided by healthcare personnel.

VEP (visual evoked potentials) är en elektrofysiologisk metod som används för att studera de högre synvägarnas (postretinal) funktion. Hos många djurslag sker en omfattande utveckling av VEP-kurvans utseende från födseln fram till vuxen ålder. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur hästens VEP, och därmed synsinne, utvecklas i tidig ålder. Arbetet består av en litteraturstudie och en experimentell del. I litteraturstudien sammanfattas vad som gjorts på andra djurslag vad gäller utvecklingen av VEP från födseln och framåt samt vad som gjorts gällande VEP på häst. The purpose of this essay is to investigate modern influence in the painting Strömkarlen, by Ernst Josephson. Strömkarlen was painted 1884 in Norway. First the essay performed an investigation of earlier researchers statements to establish a ?common truth? that puts the painting in a realistic/naturalistic-romantic context. With the help of Yve-Alain Bois? model, where he sees art from the painters point of wiew, it was possible to use two articles, written by Ernst Josephson in the fall of 1884, where he debates the conditions for art and artists in Sweden.

There is neither effort nor money put in to the exterior design of most of these products.A lot of the solutions that are invented for adapted products can be used in design of ?regular? products.Why should we then divide products in to adapted and non-adapted.

The aim of this thesis is to study a number of standards and theories, from the two research areas human-computer interaction and psychology, about how a graphical user interface (GUI) should be composed in order to facilitate interaction between humans and computers. Special emphasis is put on how the GUI should take into consideration the strengths and limitations of human cognition and perception. A study of three web catalogues shows how these theories appear when concretised. The following questions are answered in this thesis:What guidelines and styleguides can be found that specify the design of a user-friendly GUI?How do a few library catalogues on the web match a selection of these design principles?The guidelines are extracted from literature concerning human-computer interaction, psychology, automated library systems and web design.

The aim of the paper is to explore the dominating perception of the Other after the conflict regarding the Danish Mohammed caricatures. How Swedish newspapers have portrayed Arabs, which role they have been given in society and what problems they are struggling with is going to be the focus of this thesis.As methodological approach I chose discourse analysis, since it presents a view where language defines and structures our understanding of reality. Through the study of various Swedish newspaper articles, this essay tries to illustrate the implicit yet existent negative image of the Arabs as a group and potential alternative ways of understanding the Other.The perception of Arabs is a product of a necessary imaginary foe, a mirror image of the bad and strange in contrast to the idyllic and safe Swedish nationality. The rhetoric?s of the discourse are therefore constructed between a politics of acknowledgement and a will to culturally dominate the Other.

Due to the harsh competition among Swedish food retailers, in-store marketing is a crucial component in the stores marketing strategy. In an attempt to differentiate among its competitors, COOP Sweden has begun to use concave store shelves. Although the food retailing industry is one of the most studied, no research has been conducted on the concave store shelves. The objective of this study is to describe how these shelves effect the customer perception of the assortment, their experience of the store environment and their buying behavior. Detta projekt drevs på uppdrag av Flex Datasystem som behövde en vidareutveckling av deras aktuella hemsida. Här finns bland annat möjlighet att direkt ladda ner uppdateringar för kundernas program. Problemet var att hemsidan inte innehöll någon information om uppdateringarna. Kunderna måste då vända sig direkt till supporten för att få information om vad som har åtgärdats. Det här projektet gick ut på att utveckla en funktionalitet som, med automatik, publicerar information om varje uppdatering.

Denna uppsats handlar om visual merchandising online med fokus på företag som säljer sportkläder. Studien har genomförts ur ett konsumentperspektiv. Vår undersökning syftar till att studera produktsidor för sportkläder för att se hur konsumenter uppfattar den produktinformation, både visuell och verbal, som produktsidorna innehåller. Därigenom ska en kartläggning kunna göras av vilka element som är av vikt för respondenterna samt hur dessa bör utformas. Visual merchandising kan förklaras som den strategiska presentationen av ett företag och deras produkt, eller produkter, vars funktion är att attrahera kunder och underlätta inköpsprocessen.

Syftet med arbetet är att identifiera och lyfta fram ett antal riktlinjer för den visuella designen av animerad bild som används i utbildningssammanhang. Vi ämnar också att identifiera vilka stilelement inom animerad undervisningsfilm som står sig över tid och olika medium. Att belysa de nya kvaliteter och möjligheter som framkommer i och med det digitala mediet. Vi kommer också att titta på hur målgrupp och mottagarkontext påverkar formens uttryck och innehåll.Vi har med en gemensam analysmodell gjort en kvalitativ analys av tre tidstypiska animerade undervisningsfilmer, Camouflage (1943), Den Vidunderliga Världshistorien (1993) och Gutten og Torsken (2007) som alla använder sig av humor som en förstärkning av lärandet.Genom analysen har vi kunnat identifiera stilelement så som användandet av stereotyper och metaforer, konstaterat hur innehåll och uttryck till stor del påverkats av målgrupp och mottagarkontext men även av gällande distribution och tekniska möjligheter..

This graduate thesis takes its hold in an idea that many values, in cultural heritage environments, other than the onesthat can be seen with the eyes are as important for the experience of the environment as the visual ones; however theenvironments are usually defined by values that can be experienced visually!Interviews were held with four visually impaired persons. This to get a better understanding for how big part othersense modalities play in the experience of the cultural heritage environments. Questions were asked about what thevisually impaired especially value in cultural heritage environments and what is of value for preservation. Also whatcan be done to make the environments more impressive for them, how they experience the material part of theheritage, architecture, shape and color and with what senses they primarily remember. Furthermore the thesis aims todraw attention to how value definitions made by the conservation field affects the experience of the environmentsand therefore the accessibility for visually impaired.
