Svenska upplevelser av spice : En kvalitativ studie av upplevelser av spice på ett svenskt internet forum

A film can attract all kinds of emotions and moods of the audience through its audiovisual communications and cinematic expression, in which music plays a significant role in both understanding and interpretation of film content.It is interesting to explore the musical significance and the emotional aspect of the film out of a media and communications perspective and visual communications perspective because it?s a subject that belongs to the communications of scientific discipline as film is a media text which is working both as communicative and as audio-visual medium with its expressive aspects.The purpose of this bachelor?s paper is to increase and deepen the understanding of music's function and significant role in context with its reinforcing sense of visual expression in film. More specifically, it aims to explore the musical value of the expressive aspect of the media text in form of film musical Les Misérables (2012), which has been transmedialised from the novel of the same name, referring to the sound, music and song in relation to the film's visual expression.The research questions are at the core of the essay study: "how is music used to reinforce the cinematic visual expression?" and "how can music signify the narrative and highlight the emotional aspect of the film?" The theoretical framework is based on some of the key scholars assumptions such as Michel Chion (1994) and Claudia Gorbman (1987), who share the same theoretical views that the soundtrack seems powerful when it expresses its participation in a scene?s emotional moods as the music follows the scene?s rhythm, the image?s flow and contributes emotional and musical codes of emotions and expressions. According to Chion sound and image interact together to tell a story where sound enrich the image with expressive and informative values.

Utveckling av rullstolsunderrede för individsanpassade sittsystem

I denna rapport redovisas arbetsgången för produktutvecklingen av ett rullstolsunderrede med nya design- och konstruktionslösningar. Det slutliga konceptet är ett underrede med två centrala konstruktionslösningar; en hydraulcylinder som medger vertikal sitthöjdsjustering, samt en vaggfunktion i sittplattan som medger ökad balans vid vinkeljustering. Simulering och cykeltidsberäkning av automatiserad produktionslina med hjälp av Process Simulate

Detta examensarbete har utförts i samarbete med Löfqvist Engineering i Örebro. Uppgiften har varit att utföra en simulering av en stor automatiserad produktionslina som ska användas vid tillverkning av avgassystem till lastbilar. Utifrån denna simulering skall exakta cykeltider för produktionen bestämmas. Dessa tider kan sedan användas av Löfqvist Engineering för att verifiera tidigare uppskattade tider.Arbetet inkluderar en litteraturstudie om Lean Production och hur det fungerar ihop med automation. Det finns även med lite bakgrundsinformation om Just In Time, olika filformat och robotsimulering i allmänhet för att ge en bättre överblick av ämnet.Programmet som har valts för att utföra simuleringen är Tecnomatix Process Simulate och den inbyggda Line Simulation modulen.

Målet med projektet är att utveckla ett system där det skall gå att komma åt information från en intern databas på ett enkelt sätt med en mobil enhet. Eftersom varje enskild databas är unik så skall det gå att justera systemet enkelt genom ett administrationsgränssnitt så att det passar till varje databas. Informationen är oftast känslig och skall inte åtkommas av obehöriga användare, så den mobila enheten behöver autentiseras för att skydda informationen. Systemet kommer alltså bestå av ett par applikationer:1. Webbtjänst som skall kommunicera med databasen och skicka information till webb- och den tjocka klienten.2. Webbaserad klient, skall kunna visa data från databasen.3. Tjock klient, skall kunna visa samt uppdatera data från databasen.4. Administrationsgränssnitt som skall kunna konfigurera webbtjänsten. För autentisering av användaren används telefon ID:et och sköts automatiskt av den tjocka klienten.

Störnings indikation på lågspänningsnät. Detta examensarbete har kommit till som ett resultat av företaget Öresundskrafts arbete med att installera ny teknik för datatransmission över elnätet. Uppgiften var att indikera störningar mellan 5-95 kHz på 400 V nätet med hjälp av en applikation för förenklad insamling och loggning av mätvärden baserad på ett oscilloskop kopplat till en dator via GPIBprotokollet och programmet LabVIEW..

Tonfrekvensspårledning : S-förbindningens funktion och dimensionering av alternativa material i förbindningen

Spårledning används inom järnvägen för att lokalisera var tåg befinner sig. Detta examensarbete behandlar en modell av tonfrekvensspårledningar från Alstom. Teoridelen behandlar de båda modellerna DTC ? 921 och DTC- 24 medan uträkningarna enbart behandlar den tidigare. Tonfrekvensspårledningar separeras med elektroniska skarvar genom förbindningar i spåret.

NBC-anläggning

Projektet bestod i att utveckla en anläggning för personsanering av biologiska-, kemiska- och nukleära stridsmedel, en så kallad NBCanläggning. Arbetet har initierats av Marinens Sjösäkerhetsskola i Karlskrona. Under arbetets gång har Fredy Olssons produktutvecklingsmodell tillämpats. Projektets tyngdpunkt har legat i att söka komponentalternativ för de önskade ändamålen och för att uppfylla kraven. The study aims toprovide an overview of the mostbeneficial bridge material from bothenvironmental and economic point ofview.The life-cycle analysis covers onlycarbon dioxide emissions, since it isthe most spoken of in today?s climateagenda. Furthermore, this study aims tohighlight which parts, of the systemboundary, that contributes to greatercarbon emissions for the wood- and theconcrete bridge.The life-cycle cost analysis wascalculated with a lifespan of 40 yearsand covers the basic cost of investment,operating and maintenance, anddecommissioning costs.The analyzed constructions in this studyare existing projects that are almostcompleted. Both bridges were designed tohandle loads up to 60 tons.

The most importantdemands were that the material used should be able to withstand pressure from the sea withoutbeing damaged and that the production costs should be low.Department of Engineering Sciences, Division of Electricity at Uppsala University was visitedseveral times to discuss issues including the various ideas with the supervisor Magnus Rahm, andwith several people in the department.The work started by studying available literature in order to get background information aboutsuitable methods available for the project and to see how similar projects were carried out. Thereason for this was to get a better understanding of this particular problem and how to solve it.After consulting the supervisor, the group decided to construct four different buoys using fourdifferent materials.

Analysis of Intent Specification and SystemUpgrade Traceability

The impact of computer programs in safety-critical systems has increased in the past decades and computer-based systems can now be found in a wide range of applications. A new approach for developing dependable systems is documenting all design rationale that affects safety using Intent Specifications. A recent approach for developing complex systems efficiently and in an upgradeable manner is Component-Based System Engineering. In this thesis, these approaches are combined in the development and upgrade of a Remote Robot Control Unit by using the tool SpecTRM. The case study showed that Intent Specifications and CBSE could successfully be combined.

This in turn has meant that the demand for smaller audio playbackdevices is greater than ever.The goal of this project is to develop a concept for energy-efficient speakers withwireless communication that has the ability to obtain and play high quality music. Thespeakers will use the latest available technology and at the same time, using digitalsignal processing, have a low environmental impact through high energy efficiencyand low power consumption. Parallel to this work a pilot study will be conducted tosee trends in listener preference of sound.The result achieves the goals pledged while power consumption in sleep mode is solow that they meet the demands of tomorrow.

This thesis is performed as a summarizing project for the mechanical engineering education at School of Engineering in Jönköping. All knowledge necessary to complete this thesis was gathered from previous courses and education.This project was to develop a new product for the company TR Equipment AB in Tranås. The new product is going to be based on an already existing product, TR 1700. TR 1700 is a bathtub equipped with a height adjustable function. This product is used in retirement homes and in the care of disabled people.
