In the light of ever increasing international trade around the globe, affecting men and women in all countries, it is surprising that so little Attention is given its gender effects. The effects of trade are said to be gender neutral, but could potentially act reinforcing on the existing gender patterns in a society. The aim of this thesis is to examine whether the implications for men and women in relation to trade liberalization can be found to differ. By stylizing some differences between men and women, this is done by examining the theoretical implications mainly via the Heckscher-Ohlin model and through a Beckerian approach. The implications found are then compared with the findings in existing empirical work.

Background: In the schools today it is common that teachers talk about children with special needs and children with ?Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder? ? ADHD. You can often hear people discuss about children with ADHD from the teachers point of view, that pupils are hard to handle and that they do not know how to create a good relationship with them. But you seldom hear anyone talk about school from the children?s perspective, how they feel, think and experience their school attendance. Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine how a functional disability like ADHD can effect a childs schooling and also to show how pupils with ADHD themselves experience their school attendance and how they are being treated by teachers and other pupils.Method: In order to investigate this, five interviews was carried out with students in the the ages of 16-25.

But my main concern with this essay must be thought of as a brief and personal mapping of Christian belief and it´s rational status in relation to both basic philosophy and the other great religious traditions. Furthermore, I am anxious to widen the perspectives of that which theoretically can be considered substantially real, and the existential consequences that follows on such a study. In doing so I must make sure that it´s properly anchored in history of both philosophy and religion, and of course ? with the general idea of God.

Abstract Moerkerken, Anneke (2006) Klassrumsmanagement, Fördröjd uppmärksamhet med hjälp av trafikljusmodellen Skolutveckling och ledarskap, Specialpedagogisk påbyggnadsutbildning, Lärarutbildningen, Malmö högskola Syftet med följande arbete är att bidra med en utökad insikt om begreppet klassrumsmanagement och dess begreppsstrukturer samt att undersöka användandet av trafikljusmodellen med betoning på det specialpedagogiska området. Klassrumsmanagement berör hanteringen av mål och innehåll samt genomförande av lektioner i ett socialt organiserat sammanhang i klassrumsmiljöer. Man kan med hjälp av dess teorier arbeta med de organisatoriska, sociala, didaktiska och pedagogiska färdigheter som behövs för att på ett bra sätt kommunicera med eleverna. Detta för att skapa förutsättningar för ett klassrumsklimat i vilket att lära ut och att lära in sker så effektivt, positivt och innehållsrikt som möjligt. Vid trafikljusmodellen använder man sig av olika signaler för när eleverna kan rådfråga pedagogen eller sina klasskompisar medan de arbetar självständigt med sina uppgifter. En enkät angående användandet av trafikljusmodellen var överlag positiv. Både pedagoger och elever upplevde att fördelningen av den tid pedagogerna förlade på eleverna blev mera rättvis och att eleverna kunde koncentrera sig bättre på uppgifterna.

In this essay, the phenomenon and the concept "meditation" are treated. Meditation is a mental training technique where one develops the ability to choose where to put Attention and ability to focus. Techniques for meditation is used individually of people who wants to develop themselves as persons and in therapeutic aims of professional within the field of psychology in order to help people to find solutions of problems within themselves. The aim with this essay were to do a qualitative study in order to see how possible effects of meditation influences daily life of contributory practisian's. Issue has been as follows; which effects have one regularly conducting of meditation on people and their lives? Interviews with four experienced meditators were done in India and the material were analyzed afterwards with the aid of thematic analysis, furthermore in order to link the results with clinical research and established theories about meditation.

Introduction: Suicide is a major public health problem both internationally and in Sweden. Itis known in research that sex and gender have a bearing on the incidence of suicide andattempted suicide. Gender Bias in medical research could lead to medical errors and to thatthe problem is made invisible. That is why it is important to identify and eliminate them. AimThe purpose of this paper was to examine whether there is gender bias in scientific articlesdealing with suicide prevention interventions and how this is expressed.

The aim of the thesis was to better understand how second language learners becomes lingual participants in a Swedish preschool. Using the following research questions: In what situations are SLLs lingual participants at the preschool? What does their emerging language look like? Are the participation any different considering children's time in the new L2 context? What kind of support does SLLs receive at the preschool?Two focal children at the same preschool was studied with ethnography of communication as method. The focal children chosen were one girl (Mandarin L1, 4.0 yrs) who arrived to Sweden and started the preschool two months ago at the time of the study, the other a boy (Serbian L1, 3.9 yrs) who started preschool and learning the L2 one year and two months before the study. Situations where the focal children interacted with other children or adults were analyzed. Results showed that the focal children in interaction with each other understands some of the others intentions before being able to speak about them in the L2.

Textbooks are the most dominant literature used in schools and are therefore an important source of information. Consequently, it is crucial that these are not misleading or biased and maintain a high quality along with a strict concordance to the School Department?s curriculum. The aims of this study have been to examine how Mormons, Jehovah?s Witnesses and Hare Krishna are presented in four religion textbooks used in senior high schools, as well as to examine what type of knowledge is being presented in terms of epistemology.

This thesis explores how art produced in the former GDR has been looked upon, handled and exhibited after the reunification of Germany in 1990. Swedish Art History has paid little Attention to art in the GDR. The debate starting in the 50s between the spokesmen for abstract art and the defenders of figuration restrained for a long period the ability to look upon art from the GDR without prejudices. This led to a rejection of all figurative art in the GDR and sweeping judgmental attitudes, like it´s all ?kitsch?.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) är en av skolans vanligaste diagnoser och det uppskattas att omkring 2-3 procent av den svenska skolans elever tillhör denna kategori. Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka vilka tolkningar som finns för begreppet ADHD. Det har även varit ett syfte att undersökt hur en kommun i Stockholms län, en grundskola i den valda kommunen och grundskolans idrottslärare arbetar utifrån styrdokumenten för att skapa en individualiserad undervisning för elever med diagnosen ADHD.Intervjuer har genomförts med en kommunanställd specialpedagog, rektorn på den valda grundskolan samt tre av grundskolans idrottslärare för att spegla arbetet i den dagliga verksamheten.Det studien har kommit fram till är att begreppet ADHD är ett väldigt komplicerat begrepp som skolan, kommunen och forskare har svårt att enas om gemensamma förklaringar till. Enligt grundskolans styrdokument är diagnoser inte nödvändiga, men de kan ses som en stor hjälp för skolan och skolans lärare när det kommer till deras förståelse för elevens beteende. Diagnosen ADHD kan ses som ett fenomen i sig för att ge förståelse för personer runt omkring eleven.

In many products a compromise between ground clearance and the required space to store the product has to be made. This problem attracted the Attention of the authors of this thesis.The objective of this project is to develop a functioning solution to a foldable wheel. The solution should be applicable to several types of product groups. A limitation for this work has been made so that the work only covers solutions for lighter vehicles.The purpose is to drive this project forward, so that a solution can be found. Furthermore the purpose of the report is to clarify how the authors proceeded to design and construct the wheel according to a fixed specification.

Although research on gothic fiction has given limited Attention to children?s fiction, the last two decades have witnessed an increasing interest. To date the focus has been mainly on English literature with a recurring tendency to define children?s gothic fiction as a text corpus separate from gothic fiction in general. As a result, children?s gothic fiction has become isolated and is not considered as part of the gothic genre, neither the literature nor its adaptations.The aim of this study is to view children?s gothic fiction as an integral part of the gothic genre.
