The increased interest in a sustainable environment puts pressure on companies in the manufacturing industry. Rexcell Tissue & Airlaid AB (Rexcell) in SkÄpafors produces paper to be converted into tabletop and hygiene products. Rexcell is certified according to the environmental management system ISO 14001, gaining competitive advantages by showing that the company works toward a sustainable environment and that they follow current legislation. The activities at the company are classified as hazardous to the environment according to the Environmental code. Every year, the activities are inspected by an independent inspector.

The purpose of the present essay, as part of the project Self esteem and Life circumstances among teenagers, was to investigate the rate of both deliberate self-harm (DSH) and risk behaviour related to eating disorders in 14-year-old swedish adolescents, gender differences in DSH, and possible correlations between DSH and risk behaviours related to eating disorder. In addition, the effects of expressive writing (Pennebaker & Beall, 1986) on DSH and risk behaviours related to eating disorders were investigated. Data from two pilot studies are included. In total, 198 14-year-olds from four different schools in southern Sweden participated. For the purpose of measuring the rate of DSH, a simplified version of Gratz's (2001) Deliberate Self-Harm Inventory (DSHI) was used.

To reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologieshave been developed. Chemical Looping Combustion (CLC) is a CO2 capture technologywith the CCS framework, and at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg,Sweden, a 100 kW chemical looping combustor has been built.This project aimed to investigate to what degree air can replace helium as the uidizinggas for uid dynamical studies in a CLC cold ow model of the above mentioned 100 kWfacility. Experiments were performed using air and helium separately as uidizing gas andpressure data were obtained, which formed the basis for the comparison. The project alsoaimed to investigate uid dynamics in the uidized bed and study when the risk of sluggingoccuring was greatest. The results were presented in the form of figures and tables dividedinto pressure, concentration and standard deviation of the pressure.The results obtained showed that air as uidizing gas did not create the same uid dynamicsas helium over the entire fuel reactor.
Momentumstrategi pÄ Stockholmsbörsen - Hur pÄverkar bolagsstorlek avkastningen i momentumportföljer?
Denna studie har undersökt om momentumeffekt existerar pÄ Stockholmsbörsen ochhur bolagsstorlek har en inverkan i momentumportföljer. Studien har baserats pÄJegadeesh och Titmans strategier dÀr mÄnatlig aktieprisdata frÄn Stockholmsbörsenunder Ären 2000-2013 har inhÀmtats. Aktieprisdatan anvÀndes för att bygga Ätta olikamomentumportföljer. Genom att applicera momentumstrategier pÄ olikabolagsstorlekar fann vi att man kan öka avkastningen mot en lÀgre accepterad risk vidval av rÀtt bolagsstorlek. Samtidigt erhÄller momentumportföljer en genomgÄendehögre risk Àn bÄde de jÀmnt viktade och vÀrdeviktade jÀmförelseindexen.
Riskredovisning - fara eller möjlighet?
Syftet med uppsatsen var att utvÀrdera varför företag vÀljer respektive inte vÀljer att i sin externa redovisning visa de risker de utsÀtts för. Uppsatsen har koncentrerats till den redovisning av risk som sker i förvaltningsberÀttelse och i noter och undersöker endast börsnoterade bolag i branscherna industri och IT.VÄr teori bestÄr av egen modell som byggts upp med influenser frÄn den institutionella teorin. Teorin bestÄr av tio faktorer som kan pÄverka valet av att redovisa sin risk eller ej.Undersökningen har genomförts med en e-mailbaserad surveyundersökning. Genom det empiriska resultatet vi erhöll försökte vi att urskilja tendenser till valet av att redovisa sin risk eller ej. PÄ grund av att vi försökt att pÄvisa tendenser, och ej förklara samband hos företagen, valde vi att arbeta utifrÄn en signifikansnivÄ pÄ 5 %.För de hypoteser som testades genom Fisher's exakta test var det endast en hypotes som visade att signifikant samband fanns.

Bankers presentation av risk pÄ fonder : Vilka faktorer som ligger till grund för bankers riskklassificering av fonder
Syftet med uppsatsen Àr att ta reda pÄ vilka faktorer som ligger till grund för bankers riskklassificering av fonder. För att fÄ svar pÄ frÄgan sökte vi kontakt med de fyra storbankerna, varav tre kunde stÀlla upp pÄ intervju (Handelsbanken, Nordea och Swedbank). Dessa banker intervjuades via telefon dÄ detta var den bÀsta metoden enligt vÄr synvinkel. För att fÄ mer klarhet i Àmnet har svaren frÄn intervjupersonerna kompletterats med publicerat material pÄ respektive banks hemsida.Det som framkom efter insamlingen av allt material frÄn bankerna var att samtliga banker anvÀnder sig av skalor för att presentera risk pÄ fonder. Skalformatet samt fÀrgsÀttning varierar dock mellan bankerna.
Vibrationsproblem i nÀrliggande konstruktioner i samband med markarbete
Ground work like blasting, piling and excavation has always had a great influence during the planning phase of a construction project since it can cause damages on adjacent buildings and have severe economic consequences. This thesis deals with how vibrations caused by ground work influence near-by buildings and what methods geotechnicians and construction entrepreneurs use to handle these risks.The purpose of this thesis is to explain risk management in relation to ground work. In order to achieve this I have used a qualitative method by interviewing a geotechnician and a ground work contractor who possess knowledge and experience useful to this thesis. The result shows that vibrations from ground work spread through the ground as seismic waves that cause displacements and packing in the ground visible in adjacent buildings as cracks and subsidence damages. Geotechnicians study ground work vibrations by means of ground investigations and experience from previous projects in order to produce a risk analysis that entrepreneurs can use to reduce damages.
"Man kan ju inte gÄ runt och va rÀdd varje dag" : hur mÀnniskor upplever och hanterar klientrelaterat hot och vÄld i arbetet
Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur mÀnniskor upplever och hanterar risken att bli utsatt för hot och vÄld frÄn klienter i arbetet. En kvalitativ ansats valdes vilket innebÀr att fokus har lagts pÄ subjektiva upplevelser och erfarenheter av studieomrÄdet. Studien genomfördes gentemot SocialtjÀnsten frÄn tvÄ kommuner och urvalet bestod av intervjuer med elva socialsekreterare vars arbete innehÄller myndighetsutövning och kontakt med klienter. Analys av data gjordes enligt induktiv tematisk analys. Resultaten visade att det föreligger en risk att bli utsatt för hot och vÄld av klienter men den upplevs vara liten.

ITT Flygt is a world leading company that mainly manufactures submersible pumps. A problem of ITT Flygt is that product development projects rarely manage to hold the estimated project time. It shows that something unexpected occurs in projects quite often, which results in delays. The delays can both be due to an optimistic time plan of projects and risks in product development projects which are not discovered at an early stage. This added with unforeseen delays makes it difficult for ITT Flygt to estimate the duration of their projects.The goal with the Master thesis is to examine a suitable method for simulation of project time.
Amning som preventiv ÄtgÀrd mot plötslig spÀdbarnsdöd : En litteraturstudie
ABSTRACTObjectiveThe aim of this study was to determine if and what kind of scientific evidence there is for the advice that breast-feeding can reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). The aim was to investigate research on the subject published in the last 15 years.MethodA systematic review without meta-analysis with relevant original articles published in the last 15 years.Main resultsAfter searching for articles 26 relevant articles were used for this study and two were excluded because of poor quality. Mixed results were shown on breast feeding and the risk of SIDS. Breast-feeding seems to have some protective effect but can?t be separated from known risk factors of SIDS.Plain language summaryBreast feeding can be regarded as a preventive measure against SIDS.
Svenska Pensionsfonder : En riskjusterad utvÀrdering av pensionsfonders avkastning
Syftet med uppsatsen Àr att undersöka hur svenska pensionsfonder presterat under perioden 2005-01-01 till 2009-12-07. Detta vill vi undersöka dÄ det sker stora förflyttningar av pensionskapital i stundande tid inom det svenska pensionssystemet. Undersökningen innehÄller ett urval pÄ 25 svenska pensionsfonder hos sju av de stora svenska pensionsförvaltarna. Fyra fondtyper har anvÀnts i undersökningen: En aktiefond, en blandfond och tvÄ olika rÀntefonder. UtifrÄn historisk data har vi tagit fram avkastning och risk för aktuell tidsperiod hos fonderna.
