Lupus is the result of an investigative project in illustration. In my degree-work I have investigated the different guises of the wolf, which I have thenillustrated visually combined with some portions of text. The result, presentedin the form of a book of 36 pages, is narrated in a poetic and free style with meas a personal author. The images of the book tell the story of both the wolf of fleshand blood, as well as the wolf as a symbol. My work is produced with the hope thatby talking about the wolf in a way other than the standard, new ways of regarding apresently endangered but valuable animal, can arise..

AbstractThe control of quality standard ISO 9001 has made the internal audit to be experienced as police authority and paragraph control. Because of that, motivation for internal auditors is low. To counteract the experience, there is a possibility to integrate internal audit with improvements in company?s processes. Theory has shown that a qualified and competent auditor can provide information that can help the organization's managements to make the right decisions that will improve product quality and result in new customer contracts.An opportunity to observe an internal and external audit at one of the case companies gave rise to this study.

The study describes the problems with analysis of real estate companies after the introduction of IFRS. With the introduction of IFRS (2005) and specially IAS 40 the real estate companies get the ability to appreciate its real estates to real value. Despite the fact that mandatory financial auditing has been abolished for small private public companies in Sweden we still see this service being used by these firms. Earlier research, papers and published articles tend to focus on the abolishment of the mandatory audits seen from the accountant?s point of view. There has however been less emphasis on the fact that 85 percept of the companies relived from the mandatory audits still utilises this service. We think that we have found a new and until now unexplored angel on this subject, and the purpose of our study has been to explore what the Swedish bank officials and what the Swedish Tax Agency?s officials think that they have to gain from a mandatory financial audit.The scientific method used in the study is deduction due to the fact that existing theories has been used to form the hypothesis.

This thesis investigates all aspects of quality and evaluation issues concerning collections of Internet links in public libraries today and in the future. We have studied central theories concerning quality in general as well as quality aspects regarding the Internet and Internet links. In addition to this we have made three case-studies involving the development of collections of Internet links in public libraries of different sizes. The case-studies were made as interviews with professionals responsible for selection, quality assurance and evaluation of electronic information for inclusion in the libraries collections of Internet links. In addition to this we made an e-mail interview with a librarian responsible for one of the most advanced collections of Internet links among Swedish´ public libraries.

In a database environment, when you create or alter tables you often want to have a basic interface for standard operations such as insert, delete and update. This thesis report covers an analysis of what programs there are on the market for generating such interfaces and compares them against the demands of a real company. The analysis showed that none of the programs were completely meeting the requirements and therefore an own implementation of an interface generating program was created. The result is a PL/SQL program capable of generating files, storing them in a version handling system and executing the files into the database..

SammanfattningDenna rapport behandlar införandet av standardiserat arbete i produktionssystemet hos företaget Inission Munkfors AB. Arbetet har utförts i kursen Examensarbete för högskoleingenjörsexamen i maskinteknik (MSGC17), som ges vid Fakulteten för hälsa, natur & teknikvetenskap på Karlstads universitet.Företaget Inission Munkfors AB har som mål att från år 2012 till år 2017 kunna fördubbla omsättningen och halvera ledtiden, med samma personalstyrka som år 2012 (75st anställda). Detta kallar företaget "Inspirit 2x2 2017", och strategierna för att nå målen är att: skaffa fler och rätt kunder, ha en unikt bra leveransprecision och alla medarbetare ska vilja vara med. Detta ska uppnås genom att bl.a. tillämpa standardiserade arbetssätt, som är en av Toyotas 14 principer.Denna studie fokuserar på monteringsprocessen av ett specifikt elektronikskåp.

Banverket är den myndighet som har ansvaret för järnvägstransportsystemet i Sverige och är en producent av järnvägsinformation. En stor del av infrastrukturinformationen lagras i baninformationssystemet BIS och Banverket är förpliktad att tillhandahålla den. I nuläget är informationen åtkomlig på ett lätt sätt främst internt. Dessutom ställer dagens samhälle krav på att informationen ska levereras enligt standard. Standardiseringsorgan har tagit fram standarder för geografisk information som svar på behovet att återanvända och samutnyttja geografiska data. Vårt examensarbete är genomfört på Banverket Verksamhetsstöds IT-avdelning och var inriktat på att kartlägga standarder för geografisk information och utveckla en webbtjänst för BIS för att öka tillgängligheten till informationen. Rapportens kunskapsbidrag är en analys av standarder för geografisk information som är relevanta för järnvägsnätet.

Bakgrund:Varumärken utgör idag en allt viktigare tillgång och i tillägg till nya internationella regler och dagens samhällsutveckling medför att allt fler företag redovisar sina immateriella tillgångar så som varumärken. Idag dock ingen enhetlig metod eller tillvägagångssätt för hur man skall redovisa varumärken. Detta är ett problem eftersom det inte finns några öppna och jämförbara värderingsprocesser som företag och intressenter kan följa och därmed förstå vad som ligger bakom varumärkens värde och vilka faktorer det är som påverkat dessa värden.Problem:Hur ser revisorer och varumärkesvärderare på dagens värdering av varumärken och vad anser man om trovärdigheten och framtidutsikterna? Varför används olika värderingsmetoder vid olika situationer?Syfte:Syftet är att utreda varför det idag inte finns någon enhetlig metod för värdering av varumärken, om det skulle vara möjligt att utveckla en gemensam metod eller standard och vad det skulle innebära för företag/intressenter med en mer jämförbar och accepterad värdering.Metod:En litteraturstudie och sju kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts. Dessa har sedan analyserats och sammankopplats för att kunna besvara våra problemformuleringar och vårt syfte med studien.Slutsats:Revisorer och varumärkesvärderare anser att det idag inte finns någon enhetlig och väl fungerande metod och för att skapa en accepterad varumärkesvärdering som skulle användas i större utsträckning krävs istället en mer enhetlighet/standard för tillvägagångssättet och dokumenteringen.

Syftet med vår uppsats är att redogöra för om företag idag kan få förtroendet från sina kunder att tillta genom att de inför en kvalitetscertifiering t.ex. en ISO 9000-standard. Vi har även försökt att tolka vad som mer kan ha påverkan vid en kunds förtroendebedömning av företag. Resultatet vi har kommit fram till är att företag måste arbeta mer gentemot sina kunder än att enbart verka utifrån en kvalitetscertifiering för att erhålla förtroende..

The purpose of this case study has been to investigate the development and implementation of metadataschemas in two swedish governmental agencies. The interest of metadata in relation to records managment has been significant lately due to the challenges posed by the digital environment. This has been manifesteted in international standards such as TS/ISO 23081 Metadata for records and the MoReq 2 metadata specification issued by the DLM-forum. The extent to which these standard has influenced practice seems less overt however which has been one main motivation for this study.   The research questions adressed are: What has been the main purposes for the development of the metadataschemas? Which standards and role-models have influenced the metadataschemas? How has the implementation of the schemas been carried out? The case study has been conducted using a qualitative research method.

The present study examines a new production line of glue-laminated wood (glulam). The glulam is produced from non-planed boards of spruce, which also is convex, that is pressed together with high pressure during the gluing. According to a economic calculation, the material has a economical potential mainly on account of the absent planning. The study mainly found out that the shear strength of the material tolerated the demanded values in standard SS-EN 386, but the delaminating values did not. Abstract Background: In 1997 the Kyoto Protocol was signed, it?s an international agreement which is aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Sweden's goal is to reduce energy using in buildings with 20 percent by 2020 and 50 percent by 2050. This is a comparison with levels from 1995 (Glad, 2006). For Sweden to be able to reach its goals, they need to construct more low-energy buildings (Åhman, Wahlström & Lundblad, 2010).

Since the release of Avatar in 2009, the 3D movie industry has experienced an apparent growth. Almost all blockbuster movies are being released in 3D at the cinema, but the 3D format has been met with mixed opinions by the consumers. Some argue that 3D is the future, while others believe that the 2D format is enough for an appreciated movie experience. Through a qualitative survey, twenty participants with 3DTV in their homes answered questions regarding their experience of 3D movies and what improvements they desire. We suggest that 3D film creates immersion, realism and effects that 2D films can´t handle.

The purpose of this thesis is to historically describe how Fédération Internationale deFootball Association (FIFA) interprets how the discourse of anti-racism has developed withintheir own organization throughout the years. In doing so, the thesis lands in a present timeperspective and then aims to identify the norms which FIFA, according to the organizationitself, stands for in regard to anti-racism within world football. That standard of behavior isthen put in contrast with the hidden ideological conceptions which, with the applying of apost-colonial perspective, can be found in the rhetoric used by FIFA in expressing themselvesabout their anti-racism stand.The methodology used in this thesis builds upon a qualitative text analysis approach inwhich solely primary sources available through the official website fifa.com are considered.The study finds that anti-racism is a relatively young concept within FIFA and that the communicatedideal standard of behavior circles around terms such as unity, diversity, solidarityand equality. Further on, FIFA clearly articulates how the universal power of football as suchcan unite people and that FIFA, as the administrator of this the world?s greatest sport, can setan example for the rest of the world to follow when it comes to notions of tolerance and solidarityin preventing racism in the future.In following the terminology provided by the post-colonial theorists Homi Bhabha andGyatri Spivak, and applying the concepts of fixity and essentialism on the rhetoric aroundanti-racism, the study discovers that FIFA, in sharp contrast to the articulated norms, in factexpress ideological conceptions of skin as a barrier of difference between people, and thatFIFA on good grounds can be accused of reproducing racist stereotypes rather than bridgingthem.The study concludes that its findings clearly demonstrates the increased need of consideringsports, and more specifically international sport organizations, as a basis for researchwithin the academic field of International Relations, and that a postcolonial perspective verymuch can provide alternative understandings of how these actors operate and what influencethey might have in the international system..
