In the recent years auditing scandals all around the world, deficient internal control has attracted a lot of attention. This has contributed to further requirements on insight and internal control. Those scandals have seriously damaged the auditor?s profession and contributed to a reduced trust among the public. Therefore an extensive work to recover and stringed the trust was started all around the world.

There are two different attitudes to variable pay, one that is in favour and one that rejects it. However most people agree on the fact that a well-functioning incentive scheme can be of great strategic importance for a company.Approach: has variable pay to CEO's had any effect on the company's profitability.Aim: the aim of the study is to compare companies who use variable pay to CEO's with companies that do not in relation to their profitability in terms of profit margins, yearly performance, returns on total capital and returns on equity.Method: the study uses a quantitative approach.

Malmö has often been described as a segregated city, with relatively low democratic participation and high poverty and alienation. Behind this kind of statements we often find a material reality, with unequal distribution of Assets and potentials that needs to be taken into consideration for political action. At the same time this categorisation of people into different groups can take stigmatising effects and result in increased inequality.I find the theoretical basis for my thesis in Lefebvre?s writings on ?the right to the city?, that shortly means that all inhabitants of a city have the right to take active part in the constantly ongoing process of producing and reproducing the city ? on all levels, from a hands-on everyday life level to a more abstract political level.With an interdisciplinary approach, where the right to the city is discussed in relation to citizenship, presence, representation and public space, I try to understand the connections between democracy, participation, justice and equality. These discussions are then applied to examples from Malmö; both publically initiated projects and individual physical markings in the city.

This thesis has two aims: The main purpose is to describe and illustrate how a large Ltd. company can use voluntary redundancy as a tool for restructuring. I och med att EU har valt att följa organisationen IASB så innebär det att från och med den 1 januari 2005 skall alla börsnoterade företag i Sverige redovisa i enlighet med IFRS. Detta innebär bland annat att företagen numera skall genomföra nedskrivningstester, impairmenttester, för goodwill för att se om det finns behov till nedskrivning. Detta skall ske i enlighet med IAS 36 ? Impairment of Assets. IFRS reglerna är i stor grad påverkade av redovisningsreglerna i USA och tanken med att tillämpa samma regler här är att skapa bättre förutsättningar för jämförelse mellan företag internationellt.Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur några svenska börsbolag, med stora goodwillposter, kommer att hantera impairmenttesten enligt IAS 36.Vi har valt att göra fyra fallstudier baserade på fyra företag som är noterade på Stockholmsbörsens A-lista.

There are differences between regions regarding attraction on startup.Some regions have few new businesses while others continuously expanded its activities in variousfields. The biggest focus on the thesis is the Gävle- Borlänge region where MellansvenskaHandelskammaren is active.Mellansvenska Handelskammaren saw a need for the assignment after the magazine ?IntelligentLogistik? ranked the Gävle region at 15:th place and Falun/Borlänge at 20:th place in the list over thetop 25 best logistics locations in Sweden. This made them wonder what could be made to develop intoa better area with more amenities and a better place in the ranking of the magazine.

Istället för att endast redovisa företagets materiella tillgångar behöver bland annat kunskapsföretag presentera osynliga tillgångar vilka utgör en stor del av företagens värde. Detta så kallade intellektuella kapital behöver framhävas i företagens finansiella rapporter för att intressenter ska kunna göra en rättvis bedömning av företaget. Problem uppstår vid värdering och redovisning av intellektuellt kapital eftersom begreppets definition är otydlig och därför uppfattas olika av olika personer. Problem uppstår även eftersom det inte finns några allmänt etablerade principer för hur värderingen och redovisningen ska gå till.

This work applies intersectionality to five Somali women self-narratives and focuses on their identities and positions in Swedish society, but also their relation to Somali society. Since people constructs in relation to the environment, this work studies the impact of environmental confirmations of their own self. Intersectionality is brought into the social work with an operational attempt, and shows how critics of power and interplay between theories and empirics can provide new knowledge. Intersectionality also demands some alterations of the social constructionists? idea of the ego.
