The aim of this thesis is to model my artistic practice on an adaptation of Joseph Campbells monomyth and, using this model, investigate challenges of performativity in art (in public spaces). The overall themes are personal, aesthetic and ethical sovereignty and an uncompromising search for a deepening of the artistic practice. More than anything else it is a map and a story of an artist?s expansion out into an artistic field that is little developed in Sweden. It is my hope that this thesis, by using a thoroughly subjective tone, will contribute to the milieu of performative arts in Sweden as well as widen the ?how? regarding the making of a written thesis..

This report was written in an attempt to summarize old and new theories and scientific results regarding FORL (Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions). Several different kinds of treatment are presented in this study. Among them teeth extraction and crown amputation seems to give the best long-term results. It seems clear that the domestic cat of today have no trouble digesting dry foods without their teeth. The most accurate way to diagnose FORL is by using intraoral dental radiology technique.

Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att ta reda på vilket sätt förskollärare använder dans som ett pedagogiskt verktyg med barn i åldern 1-3år. Jag använde mig av en kvalitativ metod och undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av intervjuer av fyra förskollärare som var slumpmässigt utvalda. Därefter drogs det paralleller mellan intervjuernas svar och den valda litteraturen.Resultatet visade att samtliga förskollärare ansåg att dans var mycket viktigt för barnens utveckling. De använde sig av dans på något sätt i sin verksamhet men det var inte alla som ansåg att de använde dansen som ett pedagogiskt verktyg..

The work has been carried out in cooperation with the company Zenit Design in Malmö. The project's goal was to restore, improve and produce an ozone generator. During the project, the authors sought relevant literature in databases, been in contact with US suppliers of fuel cell membranes, Asian suppliers for the processing of Teflon and Titanium parts in mechanical engineering and Swedish suppliers of various standard components. The authors had access to a temporary lab at Zenit and electron microscope at Halmstad University where material tests were performed. The authors have also had access to measurement equipment to measure amounts of ozone.During the work, the authors have mapped how an existing ozone generator works and then have their own development.

Syftet med studien är att öka kunskap om dansen betydelse inom demensvården. Studien är baserad på en översikt över befintlig litteratur inom ämnena dans och demens. Litteraturstudien kompletteras även med en intervju, ett exempel från demensvården i Linköpings kommun. Resultaten kommer att presenteras under tre huvudteman; psykologiska effekter, fysiologiska effekter och sociala effekter av dansens betydelse inom demensvården. Senare är analysen baserad på samma övergripande teman och kommer att analyseras utifrån teorier om livskvalitet och symboliska interaktionism..

The relationship between China and Japan has historically been problematic and, in some ways still is. One of the issues where both of the states cannot agree on is the island dispute. While both states are claiming sovereignty over the island and there do not seem to be an ending to it in the near future. If the island dispute continues to escalate it could have a negative impact in the Asian region and eventually rest of the world as well. However due to the complexity of the dispute a deeper knowledge is needed and a mutual understanding is needed.

The quest to determine if non-human animals have emotional lives similar to man goes a long way back and is yet to result in a clear answer. The aim of this particular literature study is to determine whether or not the African elephant may host feelings of empathy and display altruistic behaviour. In search for an answer to this question, scientists have chosen to first evaluate the cognitive abilities of said species. They have done this through the testing of tool use, mirror self-recognition, memory and the ability to coordinate with another when performing a task etc. It is generally thought, that in order for complex emotion to exist within an individual, cognition, as an awareness of the self and others, must first be present.

The aim of this study has been to, through a couple of chosen theories, examine in what way and for what purposes Japan has used its international aid system, How can the nation have been said to have implemented and acted in lines with the philosophies and principles set forth in the ODA declaration. What approaches, concerning positive and negative aid sanctions in the matters of aid to Cambodia and Burma, have been chosen and what have the motives for these choices been. What have been the determining factors of the outcome related to these sanctions - economic, political and/or matters of identity? I have found that a concern for possible decrease in economic profit and investment related areas, combined with a feared loss of political prestige and worsened diplomatic relations to the neighbouring countries in the Asian society, have come to overtrump the notion of advocating democracy, human rights, environmental and anti-militaristic issues..

The veterinary handling of wildlife, both in zoos and in the wild, commonly requires that the patients need to be captured and immobilized for examination or treatment. This emphasises the need for quick, on-site, laboratory equipment, in order to minimize the analysis time and thus the stress for the animal and also in order to increase the possibility of starting relevant treatment early on. The aim of this pilot study was to determine whether Serum Amyloid A (SAA) could be a measured in blood samples from bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) and South American tapirs (Tapirus terrestris). SAA rises to its maximum about 24 hours after the introduction of an inflammatory agent in companion animals. This also correlates with the estimated time it takes for animals at Kolmården Wildlife Park to be examined and having blood samples collected after being observed as sick. The study also evaluated whether the Eurolyser SOLO, using a turbidometric immunoassay (TIA) developed for human diagnostics, could be used for such analysis. This pilot study was a retrospective analysis of SAA in convenience sampled frozen serum, collected from dolphins, elephants and tapirs.

Through performativity and narrative theories I analyze narrations and characterization in the text and in the play.

Hedemyr?s project has been about finding a meaningful position of utterance and a language for her practice. The general theme is performative art in public spaces.This text is a meta-narrative about this development and transformation process. I denna studie undersöks danslärares och danspedagogers uppfattning avSimonsontekniken och hur den kan användas i dansundervisningen på gymnasieskolans estetiska program för att öka måluppfyllelsen gällande målen inom anatomi, kroppens funktion och den egna kroppens funktion enligt Gy11. Studien är en intervjustudie där gymnasielärare och pedagoger med erfarenhet av Simonsontekniken intervjuades.Resultatet visar att anatomi, och hur de förhåller sig till anatomi, är en viktig aspekt i deras dansundervisning. Ett framgångsrikt sätt att förstå anatomi är att integrera det i dansen istället för att endast behandla det teoretiskt. Det är även viktigt att skapa medvetenhet och förståelse kring varje individs kroppsliga förutsättningar..

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med denna studie är att ta reda på om elever som gått igenom gymnasiets estetiska dansprogram upplever att de genom dansen utvecklat/stärkt olika psykosociala förmågor samt fysiska kapaciteter. De frågeställningar studien utgick ifrån är:Uppger eleverna att dans som uttrycksform stärker självkänsla, självförtroende och självmedvetenhet?Uppger eleverna att dans som uttrycksform stärker kroppskontroll/kroppskännedom?Uppger eleverna att dans som uttrycksform utvecklar den sociala förmågan?Är det någon del av dansen (dansundervisningen) som verkar vara speciellt utvecklande vad gäller ovanstående frågeställningar?MetodMetoden som använts är en kvantitativ enkät med till viss del kvalitativa ansatser, där före detta elever på gymnasiets estetiska program med dansinsriktning utgjort undersökningsgruppen. Totalt inkom 45 svar och dessa har analyserats kvantitativt och tolkats utifrån ett abduktivt teoretiskt ramverk bestående av fenomenologi, socialpsykologi med stöd av tidigare forskning.ResultatResultaten visar att majoriteten av eleverna upplever att dansen har bidragit till (i stor utsträckning eller delvis) att stärka deras självkänsla, självförtroende, självmedvetenhet, kroppskontroll/kroppskännedom samt till att öka deras sociala förmåga. De delar inom dansundervisningen som visat sig vara mest utvecklande för de psykosociala förmågorna är möjligheten att stå på scen, improvisationen samt det egna skapandet.

Kan kulturaktiviteter vilka erbjuds genom arbetet, resultera i ett ökat välmående för den anställde och eventuellt även en ökad känsla av sammanhang? Detta är utgångspunkten för uppsatsen, som tar sin början i Antonovskys salutogena perspektiv och KASAM, vilket mäts kvantitativt på två grupper där Grupp 1 utgjordes av anställda på arbetsplatser där kulturaktiviteter regelbundet erbjöds och Grupp 2 av anställda på en arbetsplats utan kulturaktiviteter. Genom deltagarnas resultat på KASAM formuläret, utlästes att kulturaktiviteter och ett deltagande i dessa visar ett samband med en ökad KASAM hos individen. Uppsatsen diskuterar sedermera hur kulturkonsumtion kan vara en bidragande mental hälsofaktor av lika vikt som den av arbetsplatser mer erkända uppbyggnaden av fysisk hälsa, genom träning för förebyggande av sjukdom och ohälsa..

Textbooks are a very influential medium considering the fact that they often introduce students to information they have never read or heard about before, and as such they become very important in forming students? opinions on different matters. In this study I have taken a closer look at five textbooks in history that are currently being used in the Swedish upper secondary school. My aim has been to find out how East Asia is pictured and also how much space East Asian history is given in these textbooks with the postcolonial theory as theoretical basis. My study shows that East Asia is given very little space compared to Europe in these books, with an average of less than a twentieth of the number of pages that deal with European history.
