Den här undersökningen fokuserar på hur skivomslagen ser ut inom hiphop och glam metal i Sverige i en jämförelse över tid. Undersökningen ska även besvara de förändringar eller icke- förändringar som skett, samt hur kulturen påverkar utformandet av skivomslag inom varje musikgenre. Syftet är att får en ökad förståelse och inblick i kopplingen mellan musikgenre och bild i utformandet av skivomslag. Med hjälp av den semiotiska bildanalysen har skivomslagen analyserats under två olika tidsperioder. Resultaten av analyserna visar att båda musikgenrerna har gått över till mer tolkningsbara skivomslag.

 My field is Korpus and in this project I am investigating what role that plays for me as an Artist connected to craft. To really get close to, and understand Korpus I have deconstructed it to find clues to why the silversmithing field looks like it does and how we got here. I believe Korpus has not yet come out of the closet for what it really can be. That it carries a great heritage of traditions and preconceptions that it would do well to shake off a little bit of. Can Korpus as an art field really survive in Sweden, where the Church has no power and silverware is no longer a need to demonstrate ones economic prosperity at an important dinner party? To help myself get closer to these objects I have given my own definition of Korpus.

The aim of this essay is to debate the narrow contextualization of the works of Swedish Artist Maria Friberg, in which she is interpreted as a female, feminist Artist engaged in masculinity studies. Art reviews and exhibition catalogues regarding a great part of Friberg?s work have formed the core body of information in this study, selecting the more recent works entitled Still lives (2003- ) as the main focus. These show a change in Friberg?s Artistic expression.Subjects concerning group belonging, identity and existential questions have always been present in Maria Friberg?s art, but they are more clearly expressed in her latest works.

Syftet med denna studie a?r att utforska vilka kunskaper och fa?rdigheter na?gra etable- rade sa?ngare anser beho?vs fo?r att sa?ngare ska kunna bli etablerade och erka?nda. Studien utga?r fra?n sociokulturellt perspektiv och baseras pa? kvalitativa intervjuer med tre sa?ng- are: En jazzsa?ngerska, en operasa?ngare och en popsa?ngare. Samtliga tre informanter betraktas som etablerade och erka?nda inom sin respektive genre.

The quality of a design can improve essentially through a participatory designprocess. Initially, The Mulberry School project was supposed to be finished in two months but the involvement of Artist Scott G Burnham extended the work and brought a new dimension into the project. In the beginning, Scott and I both worked on the project unaware of each other. I was appointed by the architect to design the external areas of the school and based on a site survey and analysis of the factors infl uencing the site I created a design proposal with the concept form and function. At the same time Scott performed a series of workshops initiated by the school. The purpose and goal was to include the students in the redevelopment of the school and to produce a design based on the thoughts and wishes of the students.

The purpose of the thesis is to examine the relation between art, politics and ideology in contemporary art, focusing on the drawings depicting Mohammed the prophet as a dog, made by the Swedish Artist Lars Vilks. His work is contextual in accordance with current art practice, thus letting everything related to the artwork become part of it, a circumstance the thesis tries to grasp in the widest respect possible. The drawings were published and spread throughout Swedish media, where they were later defended and criticized by a number of writers. Many debaters argued that the art work represents Western freedom of speech, and that to criticize them is to criticize fundamental democratic rights. This discourse tended to disqualify all arguments that questioned why such force was put into defending and spreading offensive pictures.

SammanfattningÄnda sedan den moderna publiken, gemene man, bjöds in till att beskåda konsten i 1700-talets Sverige har det funnits delade uppfattningar och funderingar över amatören och konstnären. Skulle de båda verkligen få hänga sina alster sida vid sida på en utställning, var frågan. Trots Konstakademiens öppnande och att Konsthögskolorna utbildade konstnärer finns det än i dag ingen tydlig konstnärslegitimation. Hur ska man som elev på det Estetiska programmet; Bild och form, egentligen kunna veta vem som får kalla sig konstnär eller inte? My intention is to explore how we established Artists who are involved in education as professors, teachers (or students) in art education affects who will be released to the exclusive educational path as an art school represents our work in the admissions jury. Streamingtjänster har förändrat hur människor lyssnar på musik och upptäcker ny musik. Det har också underlättat för mindre Artister att nå lyssnare och potentiella fans utan ett skivbolag som distribuerar och marknadsför. Samtidigt har sociala medier förändrat hur Artister når ut och upprätthåller relationen med sina fans. Försäljningen av fysiska album når rekordlåga nivåer och streaming av musik gör så att lyssnaren fokuserar på den enskilda låten snarare än Artisten bakom den eller ett album Artisten skapat. Professionella inom musikbranschen uttrycker därför en oro för att lyssnaren inte längre bryr sig lika mycket om Artisten.Dessa genomgående förändringar i musikbranschen väcker frågan hur lyssnaren förhåller sig till Artisten och vilken relevans Artisten har när lyssnaren upptäcker ny musik och lyssnar på musiken i sina spellistor.

This study critically reviews four works of the Artist Joanna Rytel with the intention to find out if and how she is provocative. In order to do that I have studied the reactions on these works, mainly through press material, which differs from letters to the editors and comments posted on discussion forums that's also been used. My conclusion is that Rytel provokes not just because of her choice of subject, but because of her concept of 'art' doesn't agree with the general public's, i.e. 'art' is supposed to be something merely beautiful.
