We have chosen to write our examination essay about Ukraine, we wanted to find out
what kind of possibilities there is to run a farm there, and also find out what kind of
problems that might arise. Ukraine is still heavily influenced by Russia and the legacy
from the former Soviet Union. The agriculture today looks pretty much like it did before
the collapse of the Soviet system. There are large governmental or cooperatively owned
farms. The large farms have to deal with bad cash-liquidity and they often have trouble
getting a hold of seed and artificial manure to their whole acreage.

finns idag flera olika robotar på marknaden för detta ändamål. En av dessa är
den autonoma dammsugaren, som är det vi inriktat vår uppsats på.
Robust wlan-stödd positionering : För miljöer med starka flervägsfel-effekter
Efterfrågan och tillhandahållandet av platsberoende tjänster blir allt större vilket i sin tur skapar intresse för billiga och skalbara tekniker i alla möjliga olika miljöer. Särskilt intressant blir tekniker som är lätta att installera på nya platser och vars hårdvarukomponenter är enkla och billiga. I denna rapport presenteras en experimentiell systemteknisk metod för positionsberäkning i inomhusmiljöer, specifikt de som på grund av lokala elektromagnetiska fält, rörliga större föremål eller oregelbundna ytor skapar störningar som gör det svårt att utföra förlitlig positionering. Systemet utgörs av ett antal wifi-routrar samt en signalmottagre kopplad till en dator med systemets mjukvarukomponent installerad. Resultatet bedömdes utifrån en förväntad nivå av korrekthet, närmare bestämt att minst hälften av systemets bedömningar inte har fel med mer än två meter, samt en övre gräns på högst tre meters fel i minst 90 procent av fallen.

Discussing light and lighting in the night-time environment of Tensta, a Stockholm suburb built between 1962 and 1970, this thesis suggests that lighting should be designed for the outdoor environment as a whole. The feeling of safety and human perception are important components in this thesis.
Starting with some comments on visual perception and how we adapt our sight to an interval of the visual input we get, makes it possible to understand that more light sometimes hides, rather than reveals, things. Amongst the dispersed houses, in the green parks of Tensta, this turns the pedestrian roads, lit by pole-top-mounted fixtures, into light tunnels in a dark surrounding.

This is also one of the biggest risks with AI; the impact of semen containing a genetic disease or contamination of pathogens can be enormous. Fortunately, it is a small risk of disease transmission due to many tests of the boars and the semen before use (Maes et al, 2008). It is important that the boars used for insemination have good breeding values along with good reproduction features and have good fertility results (Robinson et al., 2005).

Detection of leukocytes in semen from boars is part of the routine control of semen quality. Leukocytes in semen can cause damage to spermatozoa that leads to impaired fertilization. In the artificial insemination (AI) industry there are standard routines for the quality control of the boars and of the neat semen before use. Since 2001, Quality Genetics has not done the leukocyte examination on semen samples from boars which are used for the production of pigs for slaughter.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the occurrence of leukocytes in semen from AI-boars. The questions addressed were whether there are boars that have leukocytes in their semen and how frequently it occurs and, moreover, if there are differences between breeds, or even between individuals whose semen was checked before use in AI-dose production compared to those which were not.
The study included a total of 135 AI-boars, of which 67 were Hampshire, 35 Yorkshire and 33 Landrace, all belonging to Quality Genetics AI-station in Hållsta.

The purpose for this Masters thesis is to describe childrens librarians work in supplying literature to children with emphasis on easy-reader materials. Our main questions are: · What do librarians believe characterizes an easy-reader book, and what do they base their decision on when classifying a book as easy-to-read? · How have the libraries in our study solved the hands-on difficulties associated with easy readers childrens literature? · Which factors do librarians consider to be important when supplying literature to children that are not used to reading or are not good readers? The theories we have used are Aidan Chambers Reading Circle and Karner Smidts view on the librarians professional roles when supplying literature. We have used a case study method, which means that we have gathered information through observation, objective papers and interviews. This has been done at six libraries.

In some coastal areas in Sweden water shortage sometimes appears because the withdrawal of groundwater is greater than the groundwater recharge. It creates a situation where the available groundwater is insufficient to support residents and businesses with drinking water. The high withdrawal of groundwater also creates a risk for saltwater intrusion to drinking water wells. The problem most commonly occurs during the summer when the groundwater recharge is low, but the population is high, due to tourism and summer residents.The purpose of this study was to investigate how local water supply in areas affected by water shortage can be solved as sustainable as possible. The work was divided into three parts where the first part comprised of a literature review on water systems in which four different options were investigated: artificial groundwater recharge, rainwater harvesting, desalination and water reuse.

I och med de klimatförutsättningar som råder i Sverige har konstgräs som underlag inom elitfotbollen fått allt större betydelse. För att kunna garantera en god spelkvalitet och värna om både spelarnas upplevelsekänsla och säkerhet är det inte längre naturgräs som är det bästa alternativet på en del håll i landet. Vilka är de övergripande skillnaderna underlagen emellan vad gäller anläggning, skötsel, upplevelsekänsla och skaderisk? Examensarbetet består av två delar, en inledande litteraturstudie där anläggnings- och skötselaspekterna tas upp samt en mer personlig del där de allsvenska spelarna bidrar med sina åsikter om spel och upplevelsekänsla på naturgräs respektive konstgräs. Resultatet visar att det är svårt att fastställa en specifik ekonomisk skillnad både ur anläggningsavseende och ur skötselavseende då det är så många olika faktorer som spelar in.
Utveckling av metod för retrospektiv bestämning av absorberad dos i korall medelst elektronspinnresonans
This diploma work was performed at the department for radiation physics at the Health University in Linköping. Its aim was to develop a method to retrospectively quantify the absorbed dose in coral. Coral is a material which suites well as a retrospective dosimeter because when exposed to radioactivity its induced free radicals are stable in time. The number of radicals is proportional to the accumulated dose so the dose can be calculated by quantifying the radicals. Therefore, coral can tell us something about the past environment and also be used in dating purposes.A young, modern coral from the Red Sea was studied and also a fossil one which I was given from the Natural History Museum in Stockholm.

The technique chosen to heat the plan is a type of a geothermal heating system without a heat pump. The brine, which is water with 30% ethanol, collects heat from the borehole and discharges it to a coil in the field. There is at position 11 boreholes but it is planned to increase the number to 31, which is the design for the facility.

This project explores how artificial landscapes as parks and squares above ground can save space by using the vertical voids in urban environments and how they can create spatial and social as well as ecological qualities and connections.
Hybrid landscapes are a phenomenon of current interest within the field of architecture and urbanism. Architecture as surface, where facades and roofs become possible to tread, is a relatively recent occurence that has over the past few years become an increasingly common sight in architectural magazines and on international architecture exhibitions. Many of my selected reference projects have often been associated with sensational contemporary design trends generated by advanced computer software. But the phenomenon is also a result of other different currents of change that exist within today?s society, such as densified cities with a lack of open space, which is also expressed in architecture.
