Denna uppsats syfte är att med hjälp av diskursanalys med inriktning på bildanalys och samspelet mellan text och bild, jämföra kampanjerna ?Det där löser sig säkert? med dem på temat ?Vad håller du på med?? för att utröna om deras syfte, innehåll och diskurs förändrats över tiden och i så fall på vilket sätt. Detta syfte tar sig uttryck i följande huvudfrågor:Vilken diskurs använder sig Försvarsmaktens reklamkampanjer av?Hur skiljer sig diskursen i reklamkampanjerna från varandra?När det gäller fråga ett ovan visar uppsatsen att det som de båda kampanjerna diskursmässigt har gemensamt är att den övergripande säkerhetspolitiska diskurs som förmedlas genom bilderna, är den nya säkerhetspolitiska doktrin som gör gällande att det moderna samhällets primära hot inte är det totala kriget utan en komplex hotmiljö bestående av allt ifrån instabila länder i när och fjärran, terrorism och naturkatastrofer. Ingen av kampanjerna förmedlar dock visuellt på ett mer utförligt sätt vad Försvarsmakten egentligen sysslar med.När det gäller fråga två ovan påvisar uppsatsen följande skillnader mellan de båda kampanjerna.

This thesis describes the introduction of Web 2.0 education into Swedish LIS education with emphasis on the driving forces and obstacles in the process. It also discusses the possibilities of estimating the appropriate time for the start of new educational courses introducing new technologies, when it is uncertain if the technologies in question will sustain for a long enough period of time to make the educational effort worthwhile. The data on the Web 2.0 education was collected during the spring of 2010 from the Web pages of the five LIS departments in Sweden, namely Borås, Lund, Umeå, Uppsala and Växjö, as well as by 10 interviews during November and December 2010 with two representatives from each LIS department..The key finding is that Web 2.0 is covered in Swedish LIS education and embracing both practical and theoretical issues. The main driving forces have been both the needs of the profession and an academic research interest. It is concluded that Rogers??S-curves? as described in ?Diffusion of Innovation? can be used as a tool in order to improve the understanding of when to introduce education in new technologies.

En intervjustudie genomfördes på ett urval av åtta kadetter, studerande på Försvarshögskolans taktiskt-operativa officersprogram. Kadetterna hade alla en gemensam bakgrund från grundutbildningen likväl som från en internationell insats. Den semistrukturerade intervjun syftade till att finna de faktorer vilka påverkade dem att söka internationell tjänst och officersutbildning. Resultatet av studien visade att det var en mängd motivationsfaktorer vilka samverkade för att de intervjuade skulle söka internationell tjänst och sedan officersutbildningen. Motivationsfaktorerna kunde delas in i två kategorier, nödvändiga motivationsfaktorer och engagerande motivationsfaktorer.

Zakrisdal and the west coast region of Karlstad was at one time a protected area where the ammunition factory AmF Zakrisdal 1941-1994 was situated. This factory manufactured explosives for the Swedish Armed Forces and for export. In this context it is an interesting paradox that the production of ammunition, mines and armorpiercing grenades for more than 50 years has preserved the environment surrounding the factory.The factory is now gone and the production is moved to Karlskoga. Plans are being made to build housing for 3-4000 residents and other enterprises within the area. The area now stands before yet another change, most likely the most profound to date.The inspiration for this work comes from the economic historic Jan Jörnmark.

The background to this paper is the events that have taken place in the Swedish area of responsibility in Afghanistan where Swedish troops have been ambushed by the insurgents. Although the troops primarily where riding in Toyota Land Cruisers they had no casualties. I think that the Swedish force needs other vehicles that can be armed and are armoured.When I compared three different types of armoured vehicles, I found that PTGB 6 is the vehicle of choice, according to the special needs that a Swedish EOD-squad, their task and their equipment have. .

In the last decades, high speed cutting has become an attractive technology in the wood industry. The possibility of reducing global costs in addiction with an increase in productivity, were the main reasons for the enlargement of the use of this technology. As usual, these advantages are accompanied by disadvantages that should be carefully analyzed. If on the one hand cutting forces are reduced with increasing cutting speeds, on the other hand, the centrifugal forces affecting the tool are higher. Exposed to such high loads, there is a considerable risk of tool failure that embeds hazards for both machine and workers.

The thesis presented in this report has been made on behalf of Scania and their basic frame design department with the subject to solve an implementation of a weight sensing system in the chassis. The system is supposed to be implemented in the seat springs, and the reason for this is that all the force will have to go through the weight sensing transducers. With all the force going through the transducers the weight sensing system will not be sensitive for the differences in tolerances from manufacturing. The transducers could be pre-calibrated to avoid a calibration of the whole vehicle after it?s completed from the manufacturing line.Weight sensing systems is today a reality in trucks with air springs.

En av deuppgifter som har fått ett större fokus är det ökade deltagandet i internationell verksamhet. Men hur ser relationen utmellan officerskåren och de villkor som FM ställer med anledning av den ökade internationaliseringen?Denna uppsats kommer genom dokumentstudier och enkät undersökning att ge svar på följande frågor.Min övergripande frågeställning är: Skiljer sig officerskårens syn på den egna professionen markant frånFörsvarsmaktens syn?Resultaten i arbetet visar att officerskårens syn i de flesta fall väl stämmer överens med den syn som Försvarsmaktenhar.Den första delfrågan som jag ställer i uppsatsen för att svara på den övergripande frågeställningen är:Finns det skillnader mellan de som har skrivit kontrakt som förbinder dem till utlandstjänstgöring, dvs. de undersöktaMHS eleverna, och officerarna från FHS ChP som ursprungligen utbildades mot invasionsförsvaret, och därmed intehar skrivit kontrakt som förbinder dem till utlandstjänstgöring?Svaret är att det föreligger flera olika signifikanta skillnader mellan de undersökta MHS eleverna och officerarna frånFHS ChP.Nästa delfråga som jag ställer lyder enligt följande:Påverkar det land som missionen genomförs i samt tiden för tjänstgöring viljan att tjänstgöra i internationell tjänst?Svaret på frågan är att det land som missionen genomförs i påverkar viljan till tjänstgöring, däremot är intetjänstgöringstidens längd något som påverkar viljan att tjänstgöra.Den sista del fråga som jag ställer lyder:Finns det skillnader i de undersökta populationerna som inte går att härleda till MHS respektive FHS tillhörighet?Inom de undersökta populationerna föreligger det flera olika signifikanta skillnader som inte går att härleda till MHSrespektive FHS populationen..

In motorsports competition, safety reasons require that the vehicle is equipped with some form of protective roll cage. The roll cage should withstand the forces involved in a collision to protect the driver and the co-driver from the vehicle body deformation. The roll cage also works to protect the vehicle from excessive deformations to more easily make any repairs afterwards. For the roll cage to be certified and approved for motorsports competition, it requires that the cage is built after one of the recommended options. One of those options is to design the roll cage like a cross-construction at the driver and co-driver doors.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att öka förståelsen för taktisk kompetens som omhändertar den inneboende komplexiteten i militär verksamhet. Problemet häri är att kompetens kan anses vara något sällsynt och att inkompetens snarare är normalbilden.Uppsatsen tar sig an detta arbete genom att operationalisera Bertil Rolfs teorier om militär kompetens och Stephen Biddles teori om the Modern System. Ur detta teoretiska utblicksblicksfönster utfaller ett analysfilter bestående av kategorierna praktisk kunskap, professionell kunskap, regler och praktik inom institutioner och traditioner. Huruvida dessa kan utgöra en grund för förståelsen av taktisk kompetens analyseras därefter med stöd av Israel Defense Forces taktiska prestationer under det andra Libanonkriget 2006.Resultatet är att taktisk kompetens är möjlig att förstå utifrån förutsättningarna att hantera den föränderliga helheten. Taktisk kompetens handlar om de organisatoriska villkoren att kritiskt granska och reflektera över rådande förhållanden och förutsättningarna för att åstadkomma förändring och utveckling.

Background: Due to outsourcing, the material flows in the telecom equipment industry have undergone major changes, which in turn has imposed new challenges for packaging supplier Nefab who delivers to the industry. In order to achieve market intelligence, Nefab wants to map the material flows, and investigate possibilities of further reusable logistical packaging systems.Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to describe the typical features of the logistical material flows in a technically based, rapidly growing industry, and analyze the driving forces and obstacles, which influence the selection of logistical packaging system. Procedure: After developing a theoretical framework consisting of general logistical theories and theories related to logistical packaging, we have interviewed companies in the logistics channel of Ericsson Radio Systems.Results: We have found the main characteristics of material flows in our investigated industry to be Variations in Demand, Focus on Time-to-Customer, and Globalization of Logistics Channels. Regarding driving forces and obstacles in the selection of logistical packaging systems, we have identified Transportation Characteristics, Customer Demands, Quality, Handling & Administration, and Current Packaging System as important factors..
