The purpose of this essay has been to examine the public`s view of the Swedish eldercare during 2006. This study uses discourse analysis as a research method, the reference material has been articles from the newspaper Dagens Nyheter. The aim of the research has been to find central themes, conflicts and consensus in the discourse of eldercare. The analysis resulted in four main subjects which were based on four main questions; the questions of responsibility and execution, the question of contents, and the question of where the eldercare should take place. The analysis of conflicts and relations of consensus in the discourse of eldercare resulted in two different main views; the traditional and a more modern.

En omdiskuterad fråga inom upphandlingsvärlden har på senare tid varit om upphandlande myndigheter i upphandlingar kan ställa krav på verksamhetsövergång. Ett sådant krav innebär att myndigheten kräver att den nya leverantören ska iaktta 6 b § LAS och dess rättsföljder, oavsett om 6 b § LAS är tillämplig eller inte. De rättsföljder som 6 b § LAS ger upphov till är att arbetstagare hos den nuvarande leverantören går över till den nya leverantören med samma villkor, att övergången inte är en giltig grund för uppsägning och att de kollektivavtal som berörda arbetstagare omfattas av följer med till den nya arbetsgivaren. 6 b § LAS grundar sig på ett EU-direktiv, det så kallade överlåtelsedirektivet. För att kunna ställa ett sådant krav måste kravet vara förenligt med upphandlingslagstiftningen, bland annat reglerna kring sociala hänsyn, och de upphandlingsrättsliga principerna.

This thesis examines a sample of Pitted Ware pottery from the Gotlandic site of Ajvide in regard to the spatial and temporal relationship of the shards. Ajvide Stone Age site have been extensively excavated over the past 25 years and the most recent analysis of pottery was carried out by Inger Österholm in 1987 and new analyses of the material are therefore greatly needed. Pottery from three sample areas was analysed in regard to their distribution, decoration, fragmentation, part of pot and quality of the goods. To analyse the material in a contextual way a multivariate statistical analysis called correspondence analysis was used. Two areas denominated ?dark areas?, which Österholm defined previously, as possible ritual sites, and one reference area with mixed material were chosen for the analysis.

Introduction: Every year about 450 women in Sweden are diagnosed with cervical cancer, almost 200 die and thousands undergo surgery because of cell changes in the cervix. A HPV infection can lead to cervical cancer and therefor costs for the society. The implementation of a vaccination program against HPV is a way to avoid these costs. Aim: The study aimed to calculate the economic impact of the HPV- vaccination program for children in Sweden through a cost-benefit analysis. Method: In this analysis, status quo was compared with non-administration of the HPV-vaccine for the selected cohort of ten-years-old girls in Sweden.

Ett gruvbolag har ansökt om tillstånd att få starta en gruva i Jokkmokks kommun. Detta har skapat en stor debatt om vad en gruvetablering kan innebära för Jokkmokks kommun. Frågan om nya gruvetableringar är ett exempel på en policykonflikt. Syftet med uppsatsen är att förstå aktörernas olika synsätt om gruvetableringsprocessen samt hur de olika synsätten i sin tur påverkar deras handlingsstrategier. Aktörerna som utforskas är JIMAB, Socialdemokraterna i Jokkmokk, Urbergsgruppen i Jokkmokk samt samebyarna Jåhkågasska och Sirges.

Uppsatsen tar upp frågan om döden inom den epikureiska filosofin. Det visar sig att frågan kan delas upp i flera frågor. Dessa delfrågor kring döden är kopplade till olika rädslor. Uppsatsen tar även upp hur frågan kring döden blir bron mellan metafysiken och etiken inom den epikureiska filosofin. Uppsatsens huvudpunkt är utredningen av Lucretius, De rerum natura.

This paper deals with archaeological prospecting for the purpose of finding a prehistoric settlement in Alsike hage, Alsike parish, Uppland. The methods being used are soil phosphate analysis, electromagnetic survey and settlement analysis. Two 20x20 meters areas have been prospected. As Alsike hage contains several late Iron Age burial fields, large splendid zones for settlement location, closeness to water as well as farmland there was a hope of locating remains of prehistoric settlement in the area. None of the prospected areas showed any distinct evidence of settlement remains.

This report consists of  an anlysis of the imapct of a dam failure at Tjärnviksdalen in Ragunda, Sweden. The analysis is conducted using the EU model for environmental impact assessments, as well as a group interview. The presentation of the results in the form of a map  where the water level has been raised to the level that the County Board  of Jämtland considers to be possible in case of a dam failure.The result of this work is a detailed analysis of the consequenses that a dam failure would cause, the result consider everything from the direct consequences of the water column to an analysis of the chemical changes that the water would undergo.Parts of the analysis have shown that the purification centre and the old deposits will have the biggest impact on Hammarstrand. Both the purification centre and the deposits will realise chemicals to its nearest environment and because of the flooded purification centre the city will not have the ability to clean the water. .

In this essay I have studied Aftonbladets portrayal of the Swedish businessman Jan Stenbeck and if the reporting changes before and after his death, and if so, in which ways. With help from a qualitative syntax analysis and a content analysis I studied my material about Stenbeck during the time period 2000-09-19 to 2004-09-19. In my quantitative analysis I studied 140 articles and in my syntax analysis I studied ten articles, five before and five after Stenbecks death. The theoretical perspectives that I applied in my study is Sigurd Allerns theory about tabloid papers novelty criteria and Adam Shehatas theory about Framing. Allerns theory describes what criteria the tabloid papers have on news and Shehatas theory about framing describes the political forces behind the news who wants to set their own agenda.

Innan år 2005 kunde svenska börsnoterade koncerner välja mellan att tillämpa internationella regler eller nationella regler för sin koncernredovisning. Efter år 2005 är däremot svenska börsnoterade företag ?tvingade? att använda internationella regler för upprättandet av finansi-ella rapporter. Studien syftar till att teoretiskt redogöra för de olika sätt som minoritetsintres-set redovisas på i svenska börsnoterade koncerners finansiella rapporter, innan respektive efter övergången till IFRS. Argument för olika tillvägagångssätt att redovisa minoritetsintres-set på har kartlagts, vägts och förklarats med avseende på vilket förhållande dessa argument har till varandra.Inom koncernredovisningen finns två olika perspektiv som kan tillämpas vid upprättandet av en koncerns konsoliderade rapporter, vilka är moderföretagsperspektivet och enhetsperspektivet.

Mitt syfte med examensarbetet var att undersöka och diskutera hur elever i en årskurs 7 ?gör genus? då de fårläsa och diskutera den skönlitterära texten ?DU! Hitta rytmen? av Daniel Möller (2004) där huvudkaraktärenskön aldrig avslöjas. Dels var jag intresserad av att ta reda på hur eleverna enskilt i samband med läsningenkonstruerade huvudpersonens genus, dels ville jag klarlägga vilka argument eleverna använde i ettlitteratursamtal för att förklara hur de skapade genus under läsningen av texten. Undersökningen är kvalitativ ochmitt empiriska material bestod av de deltagande elevernas loggboksanteckningar och mina anteckningar frånlitteratursamtalen. Resultatet av undersökningen visade att elevernas argument för att konstruera huvudpersonensgenus kunde härledas till sju kategorier.

Today equal representation between the genders in parliament is something to be desired. One way to reach the goal of equal representation is by using quotas. The purpose of the study is to research the lack of equality in elected institutions by using a perspective on qoutas.  The study also seeks to find answers to if using quotas is a good method according to gender studies. A text analysis is being used to find reasonable solutions to the study´s presented complivations.  By analyzing different texts about quotas some of the more common arguments in the discussion about using quotas in parliaments were highlighted. Some of the more frequent arguments to implement quotas are that it would be more just but also that women and men may have different interests, experiences and therefore equal representation would be a question of resources.

Denna undersökning riktar sig till personer som är verksamma inom det musikpedagogiska området och som intresserar sig för hur legitimeringen av musik som ämne kan se ut. Vidare riktar sig undersökningen till alla som är intresserade av frågan om olika skolämnens legitimitet. Även politiker och andra makthavare kan ha användning av denna studie. Den öppnar upp för reflektion kring begrepp som kunskap, bildning, musik och makt.Syftet är att undersöka hur musikämnet i den obligatoriska skolan legitimeras av lärarutbildare. Genom intervjuer med lärarutbildare som är verksamma på musikhögskolorundersöks vilka argument som används och hur legitimeringen ser ut.

This bachelor thesis explores the conditions for a harmonized EU gender equality policy. Recently the maternity leave directive has been introduced by the European commission and seeks to improve the conditions for pregnant workers. The controversial subject of this maternity leave has illustrated many of the problems connected to the development of a social dimension in EU. First of all, the debate concerning the maternity leave directive in the European Parliament has shown that both sides in the parliament seem positive towards creating legislation in this matter on EU level. However, parties at the right tend to disagree to many of the amendments in the proposal, such as the maximum entitlement.

Aim: To evaluate nurse student?s apprehension of an interprofessional seminar as part of training. Method: A descriptive, qualitative study built on the analysis of 43 questionnaires and one group interview with nurse student?s who participated in the seminar. For the analysis of the collected material we used the method of analysis of contents as described by Graneheim and Lundman.
