The background to the study is that within the next ten years about 50 new multi-purposeindoor Arenas will be built. These are used for various events such as sports, concerts, etc. In order to achieve a high level of security in the case of danger alarm signals and alarmmessages must be heard well by the visitors. ÅF-Ingemansson wanted to show builders the importance of good speech perception and that it is not observed in Arenas today. They conducted technical tests on two large multi purpose indoor Arenas to develop parameters that affect speech perception in the Arena.To get a subjective view of how these Arenas are experienced a survey was created.

Denna uppsats handlar om öppna förskolan, en verksamhet för barn och föräldrar som vissa kommuner väljer att tillhandahålla. Trots att verksamheten funnits drygt 30 år, är den sparsamt utforskad. Uppsatsarbetet har därför inriktats mot ett explorativt sökande efter olika föreställningar om öppna förskolan. Föreställningarna har på formuleringsArenan eftersökts i tryckta källor, och på realiseringsArenan genom en etnografiskt inspirerad fältstudie i två öppna förskolor. Syftet har varit att uppnå förståelse för arenornas föreställningar om öppna förskolan och hur dessa föreställningar förhåller sig till varandra.

Arbetet behandlar idrotts- och evenemangsarenors lämpliga lokalisering i staden i förhållande till dess funktioner och effekter..

I denna rapport tar vi upp ansvarsfrågan kring säkerhetsarbetet vid Luleå Hockeys hemmamatcher i Coop Arena. Vi har genom att studera lagtext, intervjua företrädare från polisen, Luleå Hockey och LuleåFans, Luleå Hockeys supporterklubb, försökt skapa oss en bild av dels hur det juridiska ansvaret fördelas och dels hur samarbetet fungerar de olika aktörerna emellan. Enligt ordningslagen har Luleå Hockey ansvaret för säkerheten i Coop Arena. Polisen är alltid närvarande vid matcher och har även extra bevakning vid derbymatcher mellan Luleå Hockey och Skellefteå AIK. Denna bevakning behöver dock inte Luleå Hockey betala något för eftersom de är en ideell förening.

Detta examensarbete syftar till att skapa en ökad förståelse för skolan som Arena för att främja allsidiga kontakter och en levande social gemenskap samt att undersöka hur pedagoger och rektorer uppfattar och tolkar skollagens och läroplanens direktiv om detta uppdrag. Utgångspunkten i undersökningen ligger i kvalitativa intervjuer med pedagoger och rektorer från två högstadieskolor. Vid intervjuerna undersöks hur den levande sociala gemenskapen prioriteras och definieras, hur man arbetar med att utveckla den och vilka som är den sociala gemenskapens arenor på skolorna. De intervjuade är alla överens om att förutsättningarna för en levande social gemenskap börjar med goda relationer mellan lärare och elever och att den levande sociala gemenskapen är en förutsättning för att skolan ska vara en fungerande institution. I undersökningen framgår att alla informanter är på det klara med vad styrdokumenten beskriver rörande de sociala relationerna utan att de för den skull har en bild som överensstämmer med varandra.

This bachelor thesis examines the library as a public sphere in the notion of Jürgen Habermas? theory from 1962. The questions asked concerns how the public sphere is discussed in relation to Swedish public libraries today in our late modern society. The analyzed material consists of the Swedish Cultural Bill of 2009 and five qualitative interviews with librarians. The material is analyzed with two of the four social actions presented by the sociologist Maw Weber: value-rational and instrumental.

The aim has been to see if physical education (PE) is more an Arena for bullying than swedish language education, in a swedish urban school. Furthermore to get an insight in the students sense of exposure to bullying in the locker room and during PE class. In the purpose is also included to analyse the answers in a gender perspective.Questions are: Is PE to wider extent an Arena for bullying compared to swedish language education? Is the students? opinion that they feel worried about being and changing clothes in the locker room due to other students bad intentions? Do the students think that boys and girls bully in different ways?The method used is a questionnaire answered by 69 students in seventh and eighth grade in Åsö compulsory school. Furthermore, interviews has been made with a boy, a girl at the school and a teacher in PE to get a deeper insight above the questionnaire.Results of the study showed that the students to a wide extent, 100 % of the girls (g) and 89 % of the boys (b) thought that bullying can look different between PE and swedish language class.

Floorball is currently the second largest sport in Sweden, yet there is a low ethnic diversity. This study aims to describe, explain and understand how the leaders in Swedish floorball perceive the work with ethnic diversity from the Swedish Floorball Federation and within the associations they seem. The questions of the study are: How do leaders perceive that the Swedish Floorball Federation works to promote ethical diversity in the within the federation? How do the leaders describe their own efforts to promote ethnic diversity within their team / association? How do the leaders perceive their role in increasing ethnic diversity? How do the leaders perceive the sport as an integration Arena? The study was based on a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews. The respondents were eight leaders from four different associations, two leaders from each association.

AbstractThe aim of this study was to highlight who represents elderly immigrants and apply the theory of social exclusion. We chose channels for representation that we found important in relation to this group. The first part is a study of available litterature of the subject. We found three main Arenas: participation in elections, participation in associations and clubs and representation in political institutions. The findings showed a democratic deficit among elderly immigrants, which gave an indication of social exclusion from the political Arena and from participation in associations.For the second part we decided to concentrate on the Arena of participation in associations and clubs that represent the elderly and/or immigrants.

For almost a century the debate about women as ordained servants in the Church of Sweden has raged on and on. The decision to open up the priesthood for both genders in 1958 was a milestone in the women?s liberation movement as well as it marks an important time in the church history. The debate has mainly been about how to interpret scripture, who has the right to do so, and so on. Feminist theology has become one way in recent decades to paint a wider and more nuanced picture of history and how to interpret the texts often used to repress women.This essay surveys some of the steps towards that decision, as well as it paints a rough picture of what leadership among women in the church could involve before ordination became an option.

I tolkningen av vad en doktrin är, så finns både ett inriktande syfte och en slags ensning av det förhållningssätt som gäller och förväntas av Försvarsmaktens personal. Det innebär att man skulle kunna förvänta sig en tydlig viktning mot det internationella fokus som faktiskt klart kan sägas gälla efter försvarsbeslutet 2004. Frågan blir då om de tre svenska Arenadoktrinerna är tillräckligt tydliga i att poängtera detta. Denna uppsats försöker därför analysera doktrinerna och utröna om det egentligen finns något fokus avseende nationella och internationella insatser och om det i så fall finns någon skönjbar förklaring till detta i doktrintexterna. Undersökningen består av en kvantitativ textanalys samt en kvalitativ undersökning av doktrinerna för luft-, mark- och marina operationer, som tillsammans angriper texterna baserat på två definierade indikatorer av fokuseringarna.Analysen i uppsatsen ger vid handen att doktrinen för marina operationer visar en märkbart större fokusering vid internationella insatser än vad de andra gör.

This paper examines if European integration has had an impact on national political parties by looking at the stances of the Swedish Green Party and the Left Party on the issue of the European Community and the European Union over time. With the development of the European Community and the European Union, national political parties face the challenge of an emerging political Arena. European integration research has recently become more involved with what is called europeanization and political integration within the member states them self, this paper aims to provide further leverage to the thesis that national political actors undergo some degree of europeanization and are politically integrated in the EU, by examining manifestos of two historically eurosceptic Swedish political parties. The theoretical framework provided by neo-functional integration theory as well as europeanization is used to examine the empirical material in order to see if the political parties at the focal point of this study can be said to have undergone a change in political policy regarding the EC and EU, both in quantity and content. The analysis show that indeed both parties has undergone a change and what might be considered a europeanization, considering that the presence of the EU as a political issue seem to have risen in prominence and importance in the examined manifestos.
