The city of Uppsala and its surroundings are a very expansive area. A prerequisite for a sustainable development of the area is well-functioning supply of drinking water. In Uppsala municipality, the Uppsala esker and Vattholma esker are the groundwater storages for drinking water. Besides the eskers, other sources of qualitative groundwater in the Uppsala municipality are relatively poor and more than half of the area consists of ground conditions with a risk of saline groundwater. The neighbourhood of Vreta-Ytternäs is situated 10 km south of Uppsala, in the area with risk of saline groundwater but outside the municipal water supply.

In cooperation with the municipality of Jönköping and a person who wants to operate a restaurant on the beach, is this essay a proposal of how this part of the shore of Lake Vättern can look in the future.The focus of the work is to design a restaurant. This is made on the basis of the interviews that have been made with the operators of the area and a thought building, and from the existing rules of the performing and designing of a restaurant.The planned restaurant is placed in an area where it today is a public toilet.

Detta är en intervjustudie vars syfte är att belysa Synen på en metod, genom en intervjustudie med de olika grupper som arbetar med metoden ASL, Att skriva sig till läsning. En metod som förändrar den traditionella läs- och skrivundervisningen genom att byta ut pennan som skrivmedel mot datorn och tangentbordet. Metoden är ursprungligen kommen av ett förebyggande arbete för barn med läs- och skrivsvårigheter som arbetats fram av specialpedagogen Mona Wiklander. Metoden Att skriva sig till läsning finns om än i något annan form även i andra länder, Arne Tragetons metod har fått stor uppmärksamhet i Norden, samt delar av Europa. Studien tittar närmare på två skolor inom en kommun och vad metoden är för aktörerna, studien baseras på 16 intervjuer fördelat på fem olika aktörnivåerna skolledningen, rektorer, lärare, föräldrar och elever.

The purpose with this report is to compare moose browsing in young stands within a small game preservation, and if there are any differences between two areas. The method used in the inventory is a local damage caused by moose browsing survey. It is suitable on areas that have more than 50 hectares but less than 250 hectares of young forest. Inventory of moose browsing is best done on bare ground in the spring and should preferably be done before the flushing begins at the pine. Orsblecks game management area is divided into two different moose management areas, Noppikoski and Siljansringen. During the winter Siljansringen has a denser winter strain of moose, because of the moose seek out lower parts with less snow during the winter. This should also lead to the southernmost part should accommodate larger proportion of damages caused by browsing by moose.

Visby is a city that at first glance is of medieval origins. The popular image of scientists today is that the city was formed in the Middle Ages. According to some of the researchers Visby was formed during the Viking Age, it is based on the basis that the area has been used for a long period. Urban development in the Nordic countries is complex and there are different opinions as to why the Nordic cities emerge. It is important to shed light on the underlying process on why cities are emerging to provide clarity as to why Visby city is emerging.

I vår studie har vi valt att undersöka i vilken utsträckning eleverna har förståelse för de geometriska begreppen area och omkrets och framförallt om eleverna kan skilja på dessa begrepp. Vi valde att genomföra undersökningen med hjälp av en enkät som besvarades av totalt 152 elever från 8 klasser fördelat på skolår 8 och 9. Enkäten består av rena matematiska uppgifter såväl som textuppgifter för att prova olika infallsvinklar hos våra informanter. Resultatet visar på att det finns brister och svårigheter med att skilja de båda begreppen åt vilket ytterligare förstärker vår egen erfarenhet samt tidigare studier på området. De största problemen uppstår när det gäller att hantera areabegreppet.

The landscape is a great asset for Göteborg as a city and places in the landscape are much used by the public. This diploma work deals with the question of how nature in Göteborg can become more accessible and how a place in it can be supplemented with new landscape elements. It is a proposal for a new urban park at Björlanda peninsula in the western part of Hisingen, Göteborg, which today belongs to the Swedish Armed Forces and is a part of the Nature-2000 area "Nordre älvs estuarium". The reason for choosing this place is that it is the only area around the costal area in Göteborg that has not been built on and that it contains a very varied landscape. The proposal is presented as three different broschures, dated 10-20 years ahead: A map of a possible system of urban parks including a detail of such a park, Västra Hisingen (the western parts of Hisingen) The idea with a system of urban parks is to make the landscape generally more accessible and maybe open it for people that do not use it today. A broschure of the central area Välkommen, with my design proposal for an urban park at Björlanda peninsula The design aims to utilize the landscape elements water, mountains, vegetation and sky and to intensify the experience of them. A flora for Välkommen that shows a selection of plants for the design proposal.

Denna rapport är resultatet av ett examensarbete utfört på Karlstads Universitet och Linköpings Universitet, Campus Norrköping. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka om en GCR-metoden vid namn Optimal Färgbaserad GCR är applicerbar i o ffsettryck, hur punktförstoringen påveras när i färgtryck och undersöka möjligheten för en metod som experimentellt separerar och optisk och mekanisk punktförstoring.Optimal Färgbaserad GCR fungerar så att givet en uppsättning CMY så returneras två primärfärger och svart som matchar CMY uppsättningen bäst i CIE L*a*b*-rymden. Det har visat sig att punktförstoringen är en viktig faktor som påverkar prestandan för Optimal Färgbaserade GCR-metoden så studier av punktförstoringen utfördes. Resultatet var att när det konventionella tillvägagångssättet, punktförstoringskurvor, användes så returnerade beräkningar ett stort Efel.Det visade sig att den felaktiga hanteringen av den optiska punktförstoringen i punktförstoringskurvs-approachen var anledningen till felet. På grund av den naturliga skillnaden mellan optisk och mekanisk punktförstoring, tanken (som används i punktförstoringskurvs-approachen) att representera den optiska punktförstoringen som en geometrisk area är felaktig.

Normally when purchasing a trip, an airline, a travel agency and a traveler is included in the purchasing process. Mostly a travel agency acts as an intermediary between the airline and the traveler. The travel agency is not considered to have any major part to the contractual relationship, usually the purchase agreement is considered to be covered by the airline and the traveler as the main parties. This is essentially the view shown from a legal perspective on the specific area. The application of legal provisions on the travel agency?s legal status may nevertheless bring a certain amount of ambiguity in the interpretation.

Tycho Hedéns Väg in Uppsala has evolved from being a through fare passage and highwayto the oversized road frame running through the city it is today. Theroad is designed to endure heavy traffic and high speed limits, generating a surrounding urbanarea were inhabitants are complied to follow the standards set for a high traffic-accessibleenvironment. Furthermore, the heavy traffic has led to the turning of both urban roadsidesaway from the actual road. The aim of this project and proposal is to show the possibilities ofhow the innate features of Tycho Hedéns road can be used more advantageously to mend thecity area of Uppsala.

The valleys southwest of Storuman has been exploration targets for sulfide mineralizationslike the Laisvall Pb-Zn deposit since the late 1900 when several mineralized boulders wherefound. No previous glaciogeological survey has been made. This report focus on thedirections of local paleoiceflows and glacial transportation in the area of Skikkisjön, thelocation of the westernmost mineralized boulder, found in 2010. The aim of this study hasbeen to create a picture of the glaciogeological evolution of the area in order to determinatepossible hostrock areas. My results suggest that the geomorphology and transportationoccurred during a western icedivide located in the nearby mountainrange.

SET-metodens (Social och Emotionell Träning) syfte är att förebygga psykisk ohälsa hos barn och ungdomar. Teman är självkännedom, att hantera sina känslor, empati, motivation och social kompetens. Metodens grundare hävdar att metoden ger positiva resultat på psykiskt välmående, mindre användande av droger och alkohol och mindre mobbning och utåtagerande problematik.   Syfte med denna studie är att belysa lågstadiepedagogers (lärare och fritispedagoger) upplevelser av SET-metoden och deras arbete med metoden. Studien syftar vidare till att belysa pedagogernas upplevelse om vad metoden har gett för resultat hos elevernas vad gäller självkänsla och självbild.

Humans have inhabited mountainous areas in northern Sweden since the end of the last glacial period, ca 8000 B.P., and their presence has marked the landscape in various ways. Older traces include the remains of hearths and dwelling sites, but there are also remains, such as culturally modified trees (CMT's), resulting from more recent activities in forested areas. This study aimed to document how people, both indigenous Sami's and Swedish settlers, have used an area northwest of Ammarnäs in Västerbotten, during the last 300 years, and what traces their activities have left in the area. I used historical records as well as an inventory of CMT's in the area to address this aim. Historical records of Sami activity are meagre, but it is clear that the people of the Ran and Gran Sami villages utilized the area long before 1500 A.D.

In this essay I have chosen to write about graves, settlements and historical, important central places during the late Iron Age and the introduction of Christianity in the east of Blekinge. The reason why I have chosen to write about this is because the area has many ancient monuments and not much have been written about the area. The main question is who where the people who lived there and why did they choose to settle there..

This study was an assignment for the company Holmen which is located in the region of Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The study was focusing on the responsibilities of a forestry planner during the planning season. The study was investigating about how much time the planner spent in the office, in the car and out in the forest. Any other issues that would cause delays were also identified. To be more effective and to increase the number of objects to a district bank, a better preparation in the planning stage (for thinning?s or clear cuts) is needed as well as faster transition on to the next area.
