Jag har i min undersökning valt att gå in på djupet på tre konstnärer som verkar inom den dig-itala fotokonsten och som dels strävar efter att förmedla den problematik som ligger i det egna mediets förmåga att representera "verkligheten".Diskussionerna i början av min uppsats kommer bland annat behandla det förtroende man har haft och fortfarande delvis har kvar till fototekniken. Uppfattningen om att man med hjälp av denna lilla geniala fotografiapparatur skall kunna fånga "verkligheten" precis som den är, eftersom den till synes ser ut att göra det. Men istället handlar det mer om konstruktion av "verkligheten", baserad på fotografen själv eller den teknik han/hon har tillgång till.De tre konstnärerna jag har valt at utgå ifrån anser att det inte är möjligt att ge en hel och allmän bild av "verkligheten", utan snarare bara delar eller fragment ur denna.I min egen gestaltning har jag sedan utgått från konstnärernas filosofier för att kunna hitta mitt eget sätt att förmedla problematiken i mediet som representation av "verkligheten". Genom ett flertal fotografier som jag arbetade ihop i dataprogrammet Photoshop har jag sedan skapat min egen konstruktion av "verkligheten". Jag valde miljön skogen, och försökte återskapa den så som jag länge fått den konstruerad inom mig genom alla bilder som samlats med åren från exempelvis tidningar, television, eller konstutställningar.Undersökningens syfte är att hitta en metod som man kan låta eleverna ta efter där de får en möjlighet att pröva på hur det kan vara att göra sin egen konstruktion/representation av "verk-ligheten".Samtidigt som de undersöker hur andra konstnärer jobbar med detta och sedan att de själva får pröva (learning by doing), har de en möjlighet att få merförståelse för hur "verkligheten" kan konstrueras.

During the spring semester of 2009 I have participated in what was to become the project The Allotment Plot; a collaboration between the Swedish University of Agriculture and the Wanås Foundation. As one of six students in landscape architecture I have experienced a group based learning process with the point of departure in the designing of an organic and experimental kitchen garden at Wanås, a sculpture park for contemporary art. The project came out as neither us nor any other of the people engaged could have guessed. What was meant to be a garden turned out to become an entire cultivation movement. As students, we have gained a lot of experience through praxis; experience that will be valuable for our future profession. The project has also opened up the possibility to question and reflect upon what our profession and education could or should be about. This thesis focuses on the role of communication and the production of communicative tools in design processes and landscape architectural practice. It discusses how communication may be used in an exploratory and ?un-securing? way, and how this may dislocate the professional role, especially in situations where the design action, as in the case of this study, demands a high degree of transdisciplinarity and collaboration. .

Background: According to us, obtaining reimbursement of expenses in connection with a representation is a ?forgotten? process, and we therefore find it interesting to look further into. In some cases we have not claimed for compensation since we consider the process as too complicated or that we lost the original receipt. Ernst & Young (2009) say in their research that within the financial management area, Swedish operations loses billions of Swedish crowns due to bad routines. Okada and Hoch (2004) mention that if time were not considered as a resource, time would not be a hinder.

The concept of function represents a major part of mathematics and becomes more significant in school during high school. Throughout history, it has been a difficult concept to define and may create challenges for contemporary students. This literature study aims to identify students' difficulties with the concept of function, as well as to account for how the definition of a function has evolved historically. The literature study has been conducted through database searches in ERIC, Education Research Complete and MathSciNet via EBSCOhost, as well as through chain searching. The study results in identifying that students' difficulties with the concept of function primarily include the graphical and algebraic forms of representation.

This project includes a small study of Västerås city's housing needs, and a proposal on theuse of the property 1:207, Lantmännens silo in the Eastern Harbour, Västerås.The project intends to produce a basic study of the useful systems for this rebuilding projectwith regards to sustainable development and energy saving light buildings.The end result, which consists of a detailed visualization of the proposal, intends to becomean iconic natural focus for the Eastern port of Västerås and an example of the use andadaptation of existing structures.The property must also link the eastern parts of Västerås with the center through anextension of Mälarleden.The work has been performed through literature studies, site visits, contacts with the City ofVästerås and by calculations.The proposal consists of architectural proposals drawings and visualizations.Furthermore, a suggestion is given of how the property can be used and fitted into theoverall plan for urban density development currently underway in the city of Västerås.Computer programs used have been Microsoft Office Excel, AutoCAD and ArchiCAD..

Based on different integration policies, we aim to examine how five municipalities in Stockholm County are working to promote integration at a local level with focus on voter participation and to some extent, representativeness among foreign-born. Statistics provided by SCB shows that foreign-born tends to vote to a lesser extent than those born in Sweden. Further, we aim to examine the implementation of two policy documents established at a national level concerning integration in contrast to policy documents established at a local level in each different municipality. Further, we aim to examine summaries of actions taken in response to the local integration programs, as well as personal interviews. Each municipality will be considered separately, but we thus seek to make a comparative study.

I samtida nyhetsrapportering framkommer näst intill dagligen kontroverser kring romer och deras situation och den mediebild som det svenska samhället blir tilldelad av medierna tenderar att uppfattas som objektiva sanningar som sällan kritiskt ifrågasätts. Med avstamp i den mediala nyhetslogiken är det därför viktigt att belysa och ur ett kritiskt perspektiv granska denna bild och de inbyggda antaganden om romer som förmedlas. Syftet med denna studie är därför att genom en tematisk analys undersöka vilka som är de övergripande teman som romer kopplas samman med och vidare genom en kritisk diskursanalys analysera hur romer representeras samt hur eventuella diskrimineringsmekanismer kommer till uttryck i Dagens Nyheter och Aftonbladets nyhetsrapportering under perioden 1 januari till 30 April 2015. Den kritiska diskursanalysen utgår från van Dijks metodmodell som vidare har kopplats samman med Kristina Boréus begreppsapparat som syftar till att åskådliggöra språklig diskriminering i nyhetsrapportering. Jämte tidigare forskning som behandlar diskursiv rasism, ?Europas romer? och nyhetsdiskurs om romer i brittisk och rumänsk press består de teoretiska utgångspunkterna huvudsakligen av mediernas roll, representation av grupper, diskursteori, stereotypisering och språklig diskriminering. Resultatet av analysen visar att tiggeriet är en debatt som fått stort utrymme och där romer ofta nämns samt att diskriminering av romer är uppmärksammad i Dagens Nyheter och Aftonbladets nyhetsrapportering.

ABSTRACTToday's modern technological society is constantly evolving and house planning is one area that is constantly creating new technical solutions. By looking back at selected architectural eras during the 1900?s, the idea is to study and analyse three building structures in Gothenburg with a focus on quality and content in the urban space.In order to provide a background for the three selected areas, their history has been studied. The main question for the research is: how do different building structures affect the content and qualities in the urban space?The areas have been selected to represent three typical epochs in Swedish building history.

The main focus of this master?s thesis concerns the relation between subject representation, power and gender. Classification systems and subject heading lists are products of their cultural and social context and some subjects and disciplines are given a greater value than others. Our aim in this thesis is twofold; to discuss and critically analyse the prevailing gender norms that are expressed trough classification systems and subject heading lists and to examine how they manage to represent gender studies as a multidisciplinary subject in theory as well as in practice. We are also discussing the particular problems with the representation of multidisciplinary subjects in general.

This report presents a thesis project at the School of Engineering, Jo?nko?pingUniversity, where the task has been to develop a proposal for a parish communitycentre for the Swedish church?s parish community in Bankeryd.Background1 st of November in 2004 the parish in Bankeryd appointed a special commissionof inquiry called Framtidsgruppen (Future Group), to analyse the parishcommunity?s different activities during the past 5 years and analyse the futureactivities and needs for the upcoming 5-10 years. This analysis would underlie theneeds of building a new centre for the parish community.Implementation, results and conclusionThe main focal points which this report is concentrated on has been to develop abuilding that is well suited for the activities, well adjusted for disabled persons andthe building shall be appealing in an architectural point of view.Based on the information provided from the parish community, studies ofliterature, reference objects and discussions with the contact person at the parishcommunity and the instructor of this project, the programming has beendeveloped. Vårt syfte med denna uppsats är att undersöka vad som kan tänkas påverka rektorers beslut att tillåta eller neka Sverigedemoraterna tillträde till gymnasieskolan. Vi vill undersöka vilka förutsättningar, argument och överväganden som rektorer påverkas av och baserar sina beslut på. Vi har som utgångspunkt att ett deliberativt demokratiideal förordas i den svenska skolan. Därför blir det intressant att dessutom undersöka hur rektorerna förhåller sig till deliberativ demokrati i deras beslut. Vi har använt oss av diskursanalys som teori och metod i vårt arbete, tillsammans med deliberativ demokratiteori.

To ensure accurate and safe radiological reporting, Swedish software-firm eCare AB delivers a system called Feedback?the first and only quality assurance IT support product of its kind. This thesis covers several aspects of the design and implementation of future versions of this software platform. The focus lies on distributed directory services and models for secure and robust data propagation in TCP/IP networks.

Kindergarden - How can we create different synergies between different fields that they can benefit from each other? What different activities will suit the kindergarden? How will our perception of the kindergarden, of its need and function in society, change?In this Degree Project in Architecture I will be investigating the combination of the kindergarden together with a restaurant and a dance studio. I believe these activities will harmonize since they have overlapping benefits: We all eat, move and grow.With the new architectural activities in mind, I will further investigate the importance of the kindergarden as a part of society, more specifically our perception of what function it may, may not or could fill. I share the idea with a lot of authors, scientist that we are headed toward a society where children are kept too safe, thus minimising their chance to experience and learn to cope with a harsh reality when they grow up as adults. Omvärldsförändringarna under de två senaste decennierna har varit av sådan karaktär attde omkullkastat de mest grundläggande idéerna om den svenska Försvarsmaktens roll ochdess uppgifter. Förändringarna har inneburit att det gamla invasionsförsvaret har lämnatstill förmån för ett insatsförsvar. Med anledning av denna utveckling har innehållet i denhögre officersutbildningen radikalt förändrats. Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att medutgångspunkt i professionsteorin utforska i vilken mån den högre officersutbildningenavspeglar den militära professionens kärnkompetenser under perioden 1985-2004.Utgångspunkt tas i professionsteorin vilken försöker förklara varför vissa yrken kan ansesvara mera professionella än andra. Officersyrkets kärnkompetenser, vilka konstitueraryrket identifieras, och omsätts sedan till de ämnen i utbildningen som utgör utbildningenskärnämnen.
