SammanfattningDenna uppsats beskriver design och implementering av en mer effektiv metod att styrakameraförsedda radiostyrda markfordon (UGV av engelskans Unmanned GroundVehicle). Det åstadkoms genom att införa samma kontroller som är vanliga i actionspel iförsta persons perspektiv, så kallat Free Look Control (FLC). Miljontals spelare kommeratt känna igen och vara bekväma med styrprincipen, vilket borde reducera dengenomsnittliga träningstiden samt förbättra prestationsförmågan. FLC gör det möjligt föroperatören att kontrollera kamerans läge direkt istället för via fordonet den sitter på.Detta görs genom att i mjukvara sammankoppla fordonets och kamerans rörelser.Utöver författandet av denna uppsats byggs en fungerande UGV-prototyp som kanstyras enligt både FLC och dagens standard, Tank Control (TC). This essay deals with non-normative gender expressions during childhood. I?m using narrative theory and methods to analyze autobiographical narratives. My questions are:What strategies does the non-normative person use to deal with his otherness?Using the methodological analysis tool ?turning point?, where are the turning points in the narratives? Are their any common turning points in the various narratives?Where is the responsibility placed in the narratives for that someone does not fit in by the adults/ staff at the school/kindergarten- on the non-normative person or at the surroundings?The experiences are interpreted through theories and concepts from queer theory and gender theory.

This paper addresses the need to review the modern presentation of textile archaeology in museums. It is time to look at textiles in archaeology with new eyes. The reality behind archaeological textilestudy is holistic, embracing many different aspects of society. The presentation of textiles has in my opinion become old-fashioned. I will show in my paper that Jonathan Adams? `seven constraints´ model, developed for research on ancient ships, can also be applied to textile research.

How the United States anti-terrorist strategy is affecting the view of democracy is the main analysis of this paper. The mechanisms that affect the idea of democracy have been studied on the basis of the philosopher Michael Foucault?s thoughts and the main direction in French discourse analysis. Bipolär sjukdom (BS) är en kronisk sjukdom med återkommande perioder av mani och depression. Den bryter oftast fram i tonåren men i många fall diagnostiseras den inte förrän patienten är runt 30 år. Behandling för BS är livslång medicinering med stämningsstabiliserande läkemedel, i första hand litium, kombinerat med anti-depressiva läkemedel och anti-psykotiska läkemedel. Läkemedelsbehandling kombineras med psykoedukativ behandling eller kognitivbeteende terapi (KBT). En intensivbehandling följer efter det att diagnosen är ställd och det tar ofta upp till 2 år för patienten att hitta en balans i livet.Syftet med denna studie är att få en uppfattning om hur det är att leva med bipolär sjukdom.

Concentration of protein in bovine milk is one of the most significant milk quality parameters, to a large extent determining the price for milk to the producer. Mastitis is a common disease among dairy cows, negatively affecting not only milk yield but also milk protein composition. Milk from mastitic cows tends to have lower cheese yield, negatively affected processability properties and sensory quality, due to changed protein quality and composition. Poorer milk protein quality would have an economically negative impact on dairy industry. Only few studies have investigated the short term effects of mastitis on milk protein composition.

In this thesis I discuss and analyse the relationship between USA and Europe since the end of the Cold War. Many authors claimed that the Soviet threat was the glue that kept the continents together. Now that threat is gone and new challenges have risen. In what way has this relationship been influenced by the new challenges this new era stands for? By doing a case study and by using two quite different theorists, John Mearsheimer an offensive realist and Joseph Nye who is a liberal institutionalist, I?ll try to show how for example September 11, anti-amerikanism and NATO can be explained and understood.

Med mitt examensarbete undersöker jag hur jag genom design och visuell kommunikationkan bidra till att synliggöra den mentala konflikt som skapas av de förväntningar ochkrav som både yrkesrollen och moderskapet innefattar.Jag har arbetat med schablonmässiga objekt vars estetisk hänger samman med antingenyrkesrollen eller moderskapet. Genom ett urval av olika kontrastfulla objekt från detvå rollernas materiella omgivningar arrangerar eller visualiserar jag olika situationer medhjälp av bilder. I bilderna gestaltas den mentala konflikten i fysisk form genom de olikaobjekten. Den slutgiltiga lösningen kommer att presenteras i ett utställningsformat somi sin helhet binder samman det visuella arbetet men som också associerar till innehålletsom bilderna kommunicerar..

The austenitic stainless steel 316L has been compared to duplex stainless steels to be able to highlight a choice of material for manufacturing of spare tanks used for cooling water at nuclear power stations on the Swedish west coast. In this report 316L and the duplex stainless steels 2205, 2304 and LDX 2404 have been compared according to corrosion resistance, strength, manufacturing aspects and prices. This thesis sets out to investigate three questions, first, how the Belarusian democratization process has progressed since the country?s independence in 1991 to the year of 2006. Second, how the relationship between Russia and Belarus has progressed during this time and third, if and how Russia has affected the democratization process. The study has been conducted through qualitative method, mainly using books and articles as sources of information. It has been found that the democratization process in Belarus has evolved in a negative direction ever since the presidential election of 1994.

Tidigare forskning har visat att svenska stridspiloter har uppvisat en anmärkningsvärt hög förekomst av depressions- och ångestsymptom, vilket både riskerar att minska effektiviteten hos de svenska luftstridskrafterna och kan innebära en fara för flygsäkerheten.Detta arbete syftar till att underlätta beslutsfattandet kring problemet genom att skapa ett bättre underlag för att förstå de bakomliggande orsakerna. Studien undersöker när under karriären symptomen uppkommer samt jämför mellan olika pilotkategorier för att skapa en bättre förståelse för hur problemen uppstår och därmed vilka åtgärder som kan vidtas för att förhindra detta.En kvantitativ enkätundersökning användes för att undersöka förekomsten av depressions- och ångestsymptom bland svenska strids-, transport- och helikopterpiloter under deras första fem utbildningsår. Enkäten baserades på HADS-skalan och skickades till 158 personer, varav hälften var piloter.Resultatet av studien indikerar att den höga förekomsten av depressions- och ångestsymptom uppkommer senare i stridspilotkarriären. Stridspiloterna uppvisade dessutom en lägre förekomst av depressions- och ångestsymptom än en icke-flygande kontrollgrupp. Dessa resultat pekar i sin tur mot att miljöfaktorerna spelar en större roll än de genetiska faktorerna vid uppkomsten av symptomen.

Will the discourse in a country effect the way an event is presented in the media? And will the event be presented in similar ways in different countries? These are the questions my paper aims to answer. By using critical discourse analysis I have analyzed the reporting of the Iraqi War in three big newspapers; one from USA, one from Sweden and one from Great Britain. The results show that the discourse in each country play a big part in how the news get presented in the media, and this is shown in how the news gets reported. The three countries had three different views on the same war.

ProblemIdeation in group is used by many, often as a tool for creating new and innovative ways to solve problems and creating change. Groups may have difficulties to move from the phase of inspiration to the phase of ideation, if information and ideas aren?t defined in the team.The authors claim that this process can be helped by providing practical tools that are adapted and tested for the purpose. This essay examines a small selection of Swedish newsreel and documentary short films, primarily travelogues, produced shortly before and after the second world war. The general aim is to expose differences in the representation of ?The Other? and the ?ethnic Swede? by applying a critical discourse analysis. The purpose is to illuminate how the material positions the latter as the norm and then contextualize this with xenophobic currents that had developed up until the middle of the twentieth century. Theoretical and methodological framework is drawn from the field of cultural studies as well as the nonfiction film.
