Den 1 januari 1994, samma dag som den Mexikanska staten blev medlem i frihandelsavtalet NAFTA, kunde man höra ett ?¡Ya Basta!? runt om i delstaten Chiapas i sydöstra Mexiko. Denna uppsats behandlar den Zapatistiska motståndsrörelsen utifrån gramsciansk och neogramsciansk teoribildning för att förklara deras kamp som en reaktion på den rådande neoliberalistiska ekonomiska globaliseringen. Genom att studera deras ideologi och handlingar så menar vi att de utgör en del av ett kontrahegemoniskt motstånd beläget inom den nya globala anti-globaliseringsrörelsen som i sin tur utgör en del av det globala civila samhället. Zapatisternas struktur och metod har, som ett resultat av den ekonomiska globaliseringen, omvandlats och anpassat sig för att kunna föra sin kamp och visa på att alternativ till neoliberalismen existerar..

The aim of this study is to examine if library and archive will meet professionally in digitization projects. The study has been conducted as a discourse analysis in accordance with the methods of Norman Fairclough, professor of Linguistics at Lancaster University. The texts are seen as linguistic and semiotic elements of social events that can be analyzed as parts of the social process ? discourse. The relationship between events and structures in society will be part of the social practice.The basic data derive from five public documents collected from Swedish government agencies.

This thesis studies the negative impact that control signal saturation may have on a controlled system. Different methods that are used to compensate for this problem are also studied and evaluated. Both sensitivity to disturbances and the effect the method has on the systems'ability to follow a reference signal will be examined. Stability will be discussed, but no conclusions whether the systems are stabilized or not can be drawn. Control signal saturation will lead to a slower behavior in general.

The thesis examine how verification is carried out and looks for an explanation to why verification is not more oftenly performed. To answer these questions two care studies, based on seven semi-structured interviews, is presented as the empirical material. Network theory has been used to analyse the empirical results, and aspects of commonly used theories such as contract management and "Markets and Hierarchies" by Williamson has also been taken into account.

Retoriken har ända sedan det antika Grekland och Aristoteles tid varit mansdominerad. Den gode talaren, vir bonus, var en man och de kvinnliga talarna (och skribenterna) har både historiskt och i nutid antingen åsidosatts, förlöjligats eller förminskats. Den kunskap som förmedlas i högre utbildningar inom retorik och som produceras i forskning är till stor del färgad av en manlig norm - trots den feministiska inbrytningen.Kvinnor har fått skapa sina egna retoriska strategier och införandet av ett kvinnligt perspektiv har fått retoriken att förnyas både teoretiskt och praktiskt. Framför allt har det bidragit till att andra aspekter kommit i förgrunden. Detta ligger till grund för min uppsats där jag valt att undersöka hur bestående och statisk den feministiska retoriken är.

How affected are the sugar production in Mozambique and Tanzania by EU sugar regime? What does the EU sugar reform constitute in these countries?Using theories regarding free trade and anti-free trade, I am able to answer these questions. The aim of this paper is to study how the various sugar agreements with EU affect the sugar production in Mozambique and Tanzania. Therefore I am using a method called a most similar system design in this comparative case study. The conclusion is that the EU sugar regime is the main reason to how the sugar productions in developing countries are.

The purpose of this essay is to study the film culture in South Africa in a national cinema-context, focusing on the relationship between anti-apartheid film from 1974-1994 and the film in South Africa today. By pitching the South Africa-specific works of Lucia Saks and Jacqueline Maingard against the over-arching debate on national cinema as formulated by, amongst others, Stephen Crofts and Andrew Higson, this study aims to find whether or not a specific South African national cinema have existed, and exists today, or not. The study finds that an underground culture of documentaries and short films made by and for the black population has been in place since the apartheid, and the distribution method on video and television is still being used to reach the black population today. By re-examining the concepts of both the national, and of national cinema to also include film on video and television, the study shows that South Africa has indeed a film culture that can be called a national cinema..

The aim of this study has been to, through a couple of chosen theories, examine in what way and for what purposes Japan has used its international aid system, How can the nation have been said to have implemented and acted in lines with the philosophies and principles set forth in the ODA declaration. What approaches, concerning positive and negative aid sanctions in the matters of aid to Cambodia and Burma, have been chosen and what have the motives for these choices been. What have been the determining factors of the outcome related to these sanctions - economic, political and/or matters of identity? I have found that a concern for possible decrease in economic profit and investment related areas, combined with a feared loss of political prestige and worsened diplomatic relations to the neighbouring countries in the Asian society, have come to overtrump the notion of advocating democracy, human rights, environmental and anti-militaristic issues..

Syfte och frågeställningar: Syftet med denna studie av de globala mediekanalerna CNN och Russia Today är att tydliggöra vilka ståndpunkter som framförs i de undersökta medierna ochatt försöka kartlägga hur Ukrainakonflikten mer övergripande förmedlas. Frågeställningarna är: vilka är skillnaderna och likheterna i kanalernas nyhetsförmedling av händelserna? Vilketbudskap förmedlas av respektive nyhetskanal gällande konflikten? Hur förmedlas budskapen genom ordval? Hur förmedlas budskapen genom källor?Metod och material: Metoden som studien använder sig av är innehållsanalys på ett materialsom är kodad enligt Krippendorff-modellen.Huvudresultat: Skillnader och likheter existerar mellan mediekanalerna CNN och RT i deras nyhetsförmedling och hur budskapen förmedlas. Skillnaderna består i ordval och källor, likheterna består i användningen av källor som uteslutande stödjer påståenden. Budskapensom förmedlas är pro-ukrainskt (CNN) och anti-ukrainskt (RT) och budskapen förmedlas genom laddade ordval och kontextuellt relevanta källor..

Denna undersökning presenterar och analyserar Ugandas regerings metoder för att hejda den interna terrorism som plågat landet i drygt 20 år. Studien är en teorikonsumerande fallstudie och den utgår från landets terrorismlagstiftning från 2002. Syftet är att undersöka på vilket sätt terrorlagstiftningen påverkar de mänskliga rättigheterna och om detta kan få konsekvenser för möjligheten att bygga en stabil fred. Analysen visar att Ugandas lagstiftning inte följer de för undersökningen uppställda normer för hur stater bör arbeta mot terrorism. I studien kritiseras bland annat de vaga definitionerna av vad som ska klassas som terrordåd samt regeringens kränkningar mot grundläggande fri- och rättigheter.

Most of the sea areas within the European Union are overfished and the catches are estimated to be up to five times lager then the amount to achieve a sustainable fishery. In doing so, the management of EU's marine resources comes to be questioned. The purpose of this study was to analyze EU's administration of marine fisheries and to explore which steps that can be undertaken to counteract the negative trend. The questions of the study were: How does the EU administrate today?s marine fishery recourses? And: How can the problem whit overfishing be discouraged? To answer these questions a comparative analyses were used to compare and evaluate administrative systems.

This control is mainly given by the combination of the cars springs, shock absorbers and anti-roll bars.The aim of this report is to investigate, analyze and measure a Porsche Boxster?s turn in behaviour and roll dynamics as well as with the aid of simulation results give suggestions for improvement of the previous mentioned combination.Two different simulations were made, one based on a simpler model that was based on an evolved version of the bicycle model in Matlab and one was more advanced model in the simulation software rFactor. Measurements of the real car was made using a GPS-based measurement system.

Helicobacter pylori are a gram-negative, pathogen bacteria and the most common cause of duodenal and gastric ulcer in the stomach the intestinal mucosa. Prolonged infection and colonization can lead to chronic gastritis and stomach cancer. H. pylori are present in the gastric and intestinal mucosa of half of the world population and a relation between infection and low socioeconomic status has been shown.
