Robert Mertons anomiteori har historiskt fått skarp kritik på grund av sitt svaga empiriska stöd och sina teoretiska antaganden. Vissa har dock menat att det svaga empiriska stödet beror på felaktiga operationaliseringar av Mertons teori. Den här studien syftar således till att studera operationaliseringar i tidigare forskning av Robert Mertons ursprungliga anomiteori som den presenterades år 1938 i Social Structure and Anomie. Först genomförs en noggrann genomgång och analys av artikeln Social Structure and Anomie och den teori som där presenteras. Genom en systematisk litteraturöversikt har sedan 13 artiklar som operationaliserat Mertons teori valts ut och sedan analyserats utifrån de centrala delarna av Robert Mertons paradigm.

Child sex tourism is a growing problem in todays globalized world.This paper is conserned with the problems of those who isn't sexually drawn to children when they are in their own community but who, on their travels, sexually abuse them.The aim of the study is to analyze what makes people commiting sex crime abroad, and breake those laws which, usually, are in line with the persons own values and normsystems.What impact has travelling and tourism on the behaviour of the individual? And which social factors makes people into sudden offenders? By comparing the litterature on child sex turismwith theories in sociology and criminology you could se some factors of and structures in society contributing to the issue..

Uppsatsen behandlar frågan om vilken relation som finns mellan de handlingar statliga tjänstemän utför i sitt arbete (förvaltningshandlande) och de underliggande normer som skall styra detta handlande. Tesen som författaren driver är att denna relation präglas av en anomisk brist. Baserat på en genomgång av relevanta juridiska begrepp återges konkreta exempel på handlande av statliga tjäntsemän. En teoretisk genomgång av relevant teori hos Hans Kelsen, Carl Schmitt och Giorgio Agamben ligger till grund för en analys av anomin som en ofrånkomlig ontologisk aspekt av allt normbundet handlande. The thesis treats the question of what relation there is between action performed by public officials and the norms that supposedly directs these actions.

The aim of this study was to examine why young females develop self-harm behaviour. We also wanted to look at the differences between young females born in foreign countries and young females born in Sweden and investigate if there were any differences regarding the reasons for developing self-harm behaviour and the actual extent of the self-harm behaviour within the group. We used a qualitative method and performed interviews with nine professionals that work with young females with self-harm behaviour. To be able to analyse our qualitative interviews we used concepts such as modernity, Anomie, safety and cultural differences in the bringing up of children. The results of this study shows that self-harm behaviour is a symptom of excessive anxiety, which can be caused by a number of reasons, such as childhood trauma or great demands in modern society.
