This literature study deals with the pig industry and how group size and available floor area affects the animal welfare and the production results. It shows that both the pigs? welfare and production result can be affected negatively if the environment seems stressful for the pigs, and if they are housed in a narrow area. If the pigs are being exposed to either physiological or psychological stress factors their immune system can be decreased and the growth can be impaired. Influence by the social status of the pigs is also reviewed.

The purpose of the work is to analyze and balance an assembly line at Fläkt Woods in Jönköping. The work is going to answer the questions about today?s throughput time, how much waste that occurs, number of staff at the assembly line, how the supply of material works and possible improvements that can be made at the work stations. The work is also going to give a proposal of improve-ments that can be made.The methods used to get the result include observations and measurements, con-versations with technicians and operators and also data from Fläkt Woods? data-base.Large variations in throughput time are measured during the measure period, from 3 hours up to 5 hours and 35 minutes.

SammandragJag har analyserat hur hundkläder presenteras i tre svenska e-shopar. Inspirerad av det relativt nya fältet Human Animal Studies ville jag undersöka hur hundens kön, ras och subjektsstatus görs. Jag använder diskursanalys av texters och bilders samspel.Det är få hundplagg i min analys som uttalat sägs vara för tikar eller hanar men en möjlighet att markera kön på sin hund finns ofta närvarande i och med färger eller tryck Tik- och markeringsskydd, som är avsedda för ena eller andra könet, uppvisar också skillnader. Dock verkar även en något feminin klädsel vara accepterad för hanar och det mönster jag tycker mig se av att mindre, mer pälsklädda raser framställs feminint är inte entydigt.Kontroll av hunden verkar förhandlas genom att vikten av bekvämlighet poängteras. Jag drar därmed slutsatsen att hunden ses som subjekt men visar att det är på ett antropomorfistiskt sätt där människor tillskrivs föräldrarstatus.

Ansökningshandlingarna i ett kommunalt rekryteringsärende är vanligtvis att betrakta som allmänna handlingar. Detta har ibland upplevts som ett problem för kommunala arbetsgivare. Det befaras att många kompetenta presumtiva intressenter avstår från att söka sig en ny kommunal anställning, då det inte kan ske utan en offentlighet redan vid ansökningstillfället.  Under de senaste 20 åren har kommuner därför i allt större utsträckning anlitat konsulter vid rekrytering av högre tjänstemän. I samband med detta har det flera gånger diskuterats hur detta förfarande påverkar offentlighetsprincipen. När privata konsulter sköter kommunala rekryteringsärenden, menar vissa att ansökningshandlingarna i ärendet inte är att betrakta som allmänna när de inkommer till konsulten.

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att utifrån ett genusperspektiv synliggöra de värderingar som ligger till grund för skolans styrdokument och analysera dess relation till den praktiska verksamheten i skolan.Metod: Studien består av två olika metoder. Dels en kvalitativ metod med djupintervjuer som var av formen riktade/öppna. Samt en idéanalys av deduktiv form. Slutsatser: Relationen mellan styrdokumentens avsikter och det praktiska utförandet i skolan är svag. Att omsätta jämställdhet har visats sig vara svårt i praktiken för lärarna i studien..

Diabetes mellitus is a rising epidemic throughout the world and there is currently great interest in quantifying the beta-cell mass (BCM) in vivo non-invasively. In the present experiment, the feasibility of in vivo imaging of the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) in beta-cells was examined, using the positron emission tomography (PET) tracer [68Ga]Ga-DO3A-VS-Cys40-exendin-4 as a marker, in native pancreatic beta-cells of a porcine diabetic animal model and healthy controls. Eight Swedish high-health domestic pigs were randomly assigned to be either controls or made diabetic using streptozotocin (STZ). The experiment proceeded during eight weeks, starting with an acclimatisation period. Once the pigs had been socialised they underwent surgery for the insertion of a jugular vein catheter, allowing induction of diabetes with STZ, intravenous (i.v.) injections and stress-free blood sampling. Development of diabetes was confirmed by clinical examinations, blood glucose values and insulin-staining of pancreatic sections post mortem. The diabetic pigs were insulin treated and responded well.

The Mission at ÅF Industry in Norrkoping was about optimizing bulk data handling while importing process tag types from their construction database into the Process Controlled System of type Siemens PCS7.I found three different methods to solve the task. Two of them were using different software from Siemens under the premise that the report from the database was corrected as needed. The third variant was manually creating the circuits. All methods worked out fine but there were times when one was better than another.To solve this task I had access to all software presented in chapter 2 ?Programvara? (=Software).

Ett öga rött publicerades 2003 och blev snabbt en omtalad bok eftersom den inte var skriven på korrekt grammatisk svenska. Den är skriven på vad som kom att kallas ?invandrarsvenska?, en form av talspråk, där det svenska språket blandats med slang och ord från andra språk. Ett öga rött handlar om en ung pojke som söker svar på frågor om sin omgivning och identitet.

More specifically the investigation takes on the idea of a ?sam-vett? as it is formulated in Jernbanan. The ?sam-vett? is an idea about the undivided unity of man, nature and animal, and with a kind of primitive trait.

Författaren redogör först för romanens handling och jämför kompositionen med den i Odysséen. Vidare studeras berättare och synvinkel. Food is widely consumed and in 2011 an average American devoured approximately one ton of food. The production of these goods requires large amounts of energy and contributes to 22-31 % of all greenhouse gas emissions occurring in Europe. More than one third of the produced food is discarded instead of consumed, and food waste make up about 30 % of the waste generated by households. 60 % of this food waste could be avoided if the eatables were handled in a better way.Avoidable food waste arises partly because residues from food are not taken care of, and because the food is not stored in a way that optimise its durability. Residues arises part- ly because of the contradictory and complex demands of everyday life and are, because of our busy lifestyle, difficult to avoid.

Min tanke med mitt arbete var att ta reda på om det fanns ett behov av att ta fram ett nytt åtgärdsprogram på skolan enligt mina kollegor och ledningen. Dessutom ville jag presentera ett alternativt åtgärdsprogram som jag kallar Handlingsprogram, helt i linje med Lösningsinriktad pedagogik. Jag har intervjuat tre av mina kollegor samt en person ur ledningen, jag har gjort en nulägesanalys och jag har sökt information runt den lösningsinriktade pedagogiken i böcker för att finna teorier om hur jag ska utforma mitt handlingsprogram. Resultatet blev att vi hade ett behov av ett nytt åtgärdsprogram och jag har skapat ett handlingsprogram som vi kommer att införa på skolan..

Biofuels are getting more important as EU plans to replace fossil fuels with renewable energy sources. Because of that Sveaskog has chosen to invest in developing the handling process of logging residue. The company has a joined organisation for handling both round wood and logging residue. They are also working at integrating the forwarding of the logging residue with the rest of the harvesting team. Sveaskog is currently extracting 44 % of the available amount of logging residue.
