Energimyndigheten har drivit ett projekt kallat ?Förbättrad energistatistik i bebyggelsen? för att få mer kunskap om energianvändningen i byggnader.  Denna rapport fokuserar på ?Mätning av hushållsel på apparatnivå? som var ett delprojekt.Diverse regressionsmodeller används i denna rapport för att undersöka sambandet mellan elanvändningen och de olika förklarande variablerna, som exempelvis hushållens bakgrundsvariabler, hushållstyp och geografiska läge, elförbrukningen av olika elapparater samt antalet elapparater.Datamaterialet innefattar 389 hushåll där de flesta är spridda runt om i Mälardalen. Ett fåtal mätningar gjordes på hushåll i Kiruna och Malmö.Slutsatsen vi kan dra från denna uppsats är att hushållens bakgrund, hustyp, geografiska läge och antal elapparater samt dessa apparaters typ har relevans för elförbrukningen i ett hushåll..

A rhetorical analysis of the educational interactive film ?Riskprofilen?, produced by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (Swedish: Myndigheten för Samhällsskydd och Beredskap). This essay uses the theories and methods of Procedural Rhetoric, as described by Professor Ian Bogost, and Visual Rhetoric, as described by Professor Brigitte Mral to analyse the interactive and visual component parts of the artefact, and compares them to the intended purposes of the artefact as stated by documents pertaining to its creation, found to be those of educating the public; marketing the agency; and driving traffic to its webpage. The artefact is through analysis found to fulfil the purposes of marketing the Agency and of likely increasing traffic to the website upon which it is hosted. This thesis analyses ideas of gender in the Swedish radical right. The aim of the study is to see if there are any differences or similarities in the way gender is being formulated by a populist radical right party as the Sweden Democrats (Sverigedemokraterna), the extreme right party, Party of the Swedes (Svenskarnas Parti) and the extreme right movement Swedish Resistance Movement (Svenska Motståndsrörelsen). Ideas of gender are presented in the theory chapter which is used later on in the analysis to compare with the radical right organisations of Sweden. To fulfil the aim we have performed a comparative ideological analysis between the three organisations and the base for our analysis is texts from each organisation?s webpage.

Före 1900-talets början uppfattades barn som små vuxna och billig arbetskraft. I rapporten presenteras en historisk tillbakablick som visar att redan på tidigt 1900-tal började diskussionen kring unga brottslingars straffansvar ta form. Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka om straffmyndighetsåldern skall sänkas eller bibehållas. Det inledande materialet till denna rapport hittades i Umeå universitetsbibliotekets arkiv. Efter en intressant undersökning i gamla lagböcker och lagtexter fann författarna svaret till när straffmyndighetsåldern blev satt till 15 år.

Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka hur den nya särskilda taktiken vid ingripande mot folkmassa (IMF) kommer att se ut. Eftersom det här arbetssättet är så pass nytt och ännu inte trätt ikraft, har det mesta av materialet som vi tagit del av kommit från en RPS-rapport som utarbetats av personer i den nationella arbetsgruppen, samt från en intervju med en person som kommer att beröras av resultatet i rapporten. Vi har utifrån materialet valt att begränsa oss till fem frågeställningar, varför vill man byta från den gamla IMF till den nya särskilda taktiken, vilka är förändringarna i taktiken, vilka förändringar införs i polismannens kroppsskyddsutrustning, vilka förändringar införs beträffande de fordon som används, vilken nytta skulle ett maskeringsförbud göra?. Med detta bakgrundsmaterial så har vi kommit fram till att huvudskälet till varför RPS vill byta taktik, är att förhindra att nya situationer uppstår likt den som inträffade i Göteborg 2001.

This study aims to analyse how sex and sexuality are presented in the Buddhism and Hinduism chapters of religious studies textbooks for upper secondary school. The chosen textbooks are all linked to the new curriculum Lgr 11 which was implemented in the Swedish school system in the spring of 2012. The textbooks were analysed by using two methods; content analysis and discourse analysis. Content analysis was used to examine with which frequency sexes and sexualities appear in the textbooks, while discourse analysis was used to find what discourses surround the two concepts. The discourse analysis used two theories in order to contextualize the several discourses about sex and sexuality.

This study has been carried out in cooperation with Unilever and partly with the EC founded project, Smartdoc IST-2000-28137. In areas of statistics and image processing, both the amount of data and the dimensions are increasing rapidly and an interactive visualization tool that lets the user perform real-time analysis can save valuable time. Real-time cropping and drill-down considerably facilitate the analysis process and yield more accurate decisions. Denna rapport behandlar hur framställningen av ledarskap ser ur ett teoretiskt könsperspektiv. Genom att analysera tidningarna "Chef" och "Dagens Samhälle" med hjälp av kritisk diskursanalys som metodredskap synliggörs i denna rapport den manliga normen som en dominerande del i den sociala och kulturella konstruktionen av ledarskap, detta har även format framställning av manliga respektive kvinnliga ledare. Under analysen framkommer det tydliga mönster i framställningen av de båda könen, där manliga ledare och deras ledaregenskaper betonas som ner naturliga och ofta med en koppling till deras respektive sportsliga karriärer och bakgrund. För de kvinnliga ledarna sker en generell koppling mellan deras ledaregenskaper och deras privata sfär så som familjen, olika relationer och deras barndom. Vi behandlar prostitutionen i Thailand genom att undersöka hur den prostituerades roll har konstruerats i samhället. Empiriskt använder vi oss av en thailändsk statlig rapport, som svarar på FN-avdelningen CEDAWs antidiskrimineringskonvention. I denna rapport redogörs för kvinnorättssituationen i landet. Med feministisk teori gör vi en kvalitativ textanalys för att klarlägga den politiska diskursen kring den prostituerades roll och hur denna har formats. Utifrån vår analys konstaterar vi att den prostituerade hamnar i ett stigma där hon beroende på situationen identifieras som antingen en promiskuös agent med personliga ekonomiska incitament eller som ett hjälplöst offer.

In a database environment, when you create or alter tables you often want to have a basic interface for standard operations such as insert, delete and update. This thesis report covers an analysis of what programs there are on the market for generating such interfaces and compares them against the demands of a real company. The analysis showed that none of the programs were completely meeting the requirements and therefore an own implementation of an interface generating program was created.
