Bakgrund: Tidigare forskning visade att ett kirurgiskt ingrepp är en stressfylld upplevelse både fysiskt och psykiskt eftersom kroppens integritet hotas. Preoperativ oro var ett vanligt problem vid elektiv kirurgi. Omvårdnad var ett stöd till medicinsk behandling t.ex. genom information som minskar patientens oro och ängslan samt ökar patientens tolerans för smärta. Syftet: Var att beskriva vad patienterna är oroliga för inför elektiv kirurgi samt ge kunskap i vad sjuksköterskan omvårdnadsmässigt kan göra för att minska oron inför elektiv kirurgi.

The study aims to identify and analyze the experience of the core process within child health care. The method has been interviews with nine managers and 10 clinic nurses in a county. The results show a lack of knowledge regarding core process and process work.

The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of antibodies against the intracellular protozoan Encephalitozoon cuniculi in healthy pet rabbits. Encephalitozoonosis is an important differential diagnosis to ascending infection with Pasteurella multocida in the ears since a common symptom is vestibular syndrome. Samples were collected from healthy rabbits that were brought to an animal clinic in Stockholm for some kind of prophylactic procedure. The samples were analysed by an India-ink Immunoreaction test / Carbon Immunoassay. Of 106 rabbits 7 (6.6%) were seropositve.

Följande studie är en undersökning av vilka faktorer som påverkar kundernas upplevda kvalitet vid ett privat företag inom plastikkirurgibranschen. Studien syftar till att undersöka vilka kvalitetsfaktorer som kunderna upplever, vilka faktorer som är viktigast samt hur de olika faktorerna relaterar till varandra. Därutöver undersöks om kundernas syn skiljer sig åt före och efter ett ingrepp. Studien har genomförts i intervjuform med en huvudsakligen induktiv metod, och tar sitt teoretiska avstamp i såväl företagsekonomisk tjänstemarknadsföringsteori som forskning från sjukvårdsområdet. Den bild som framträtt överrensstämmer i stort med den traditionella tjänstemarknadsföringssynen, med undantag för att resultatfaktorer visat sig vara klart viktigare än processfaktorer.

The aim with the study is to find key factors relating to internal marketing and to improve the process between the operating organization and its customers. A qualitative study is carried out within an organization active in the Swedish healthcare. The qualitative approach is carried out by collecting empirical data through observations, personal interviews and group interviews.The Physiotherapy Clinic at the Karolinska University Hospital is in the focus of the empirical study. The study locates existing differences in perceptions and comes up with recommendations for actions to improve the process of organisations within the Swedish healthcare and their customers. The study's results are that internal marketing can bring a lot to service-selling organizations and that the organizations internal conditions are as important as the external ones.Communication appears to be a key factor for an organization that has applied internal marketing.

SAMMANFATTNINGPå de flesta operationsavdelningar är det rutin att föräldrar är med sitt barn till och med anestesiinduktionen. Föräldranärvaron syftar till att minska barnets oro och för att undvika att barnet separeras från sin förälder. Fokus ligger på barnet och det är lätt att bortse från den medföljande förälderns upplevelser och känslor. Mot denna bakgrund var syftet med denna studie att kartlägga föräldrars upplevelser av att vara tillsammans med sitt barn i den perioperativa perioden och vilka vårdåtgärder som kunde underlätta för föräldrarna. En litteraturstudie genomfördes och 22 artiklar som behandlade detta ämne fanns och analyserades.

The purpose of this study was to compare normal electroretinographies (ERGs) from three different canine breeds in order to evaluate if there were any marked similarities or differences between these breeds as to ERG responses. It is known that healthy dogs from different breeds but also dogs within the same breed but in different age categories may have different appearances of their ERG responses. This may be a problem when evaluating if an ERG is normal or not from a dog within a breed not previously examined. Because of this it is important to obtain normal values for each breed and age group in order to be able to use these for later comparisons of ERGs obtained from individuals affected with various retinal diseases. In this study we have chosen to examine dogs within the three breeds: Labrador Retriever (LR), English Springer Spaniel (ESS) and Chinese Crested Dog (CCD). All of these breeds may be affected with hereditary retinal diseases such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). It is possible that ERG-responses vary due to a number of different factors.

Sammanfattning                        Postoperativ smärtbehandling är otillräcklig trots ökad kunskap i smärtfysiologi och utvecklandet av nya farmakologiska riktlinjer. Obehandlad postoperativ smärta kan leda till komplikationer som fördröjd mobilisering, djup ventrombos, lungemboli, hjärtinfarkt, stroke och lunginflammation, vilka leder till ett ökat lidande för patienten både fysiskt och psykiskt samt ökade kostnader för samhället. Anestesisjuksköterskan lägger grunden för den postoperativa smärtbehandlingen före och under anestesin och ska arbeta preventivt för att patientens smärtbehandling ska vara tillräcklig. Syftet med studien var att belysa anestesisjuksköterskans strategier för att förebygga patientens postoperativa smärta efter generell anestesi. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med fyra anestesisjuksköterskor på ett västsvenskt sjukhus och analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Bakgrund: Nya tekniska lösningar för att intubera patienter börjar bli tillgängliga för operationsavdelningar. Glidescope är ett videolaryngoskop som visar lovande resultat när det gäller underlättande av intubationer för personal framförallt vid svåra luftvägar och intubationer. Forskningen pekar på att Glidescope reducerar antalet intubationsförsök och ökar andelen lyckade förstagångsintubationer. Studier pekar på att det för patienten är fördelaktigt med så få intubationsförsök som möjligt.Syfte: Att undersöka anestesipersonals erfarenheter av att arbeta med Glidescope.Metod: Semistrukturerade individuella intervjuer genomfördes med nio anestesisjuksköterskor och två läkare. En kvalitativ beskrivande ansats med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys som analysmetod har använts.

The purpose of this study was to examine effects of hearing aid use and to do a judgment of the provement. The investigation was a pilot study and may be used in the clinic.The international form ?International Outcome Inventory for Hearing Aids? (IOI-HA) was used for data collection. Four questions were chosen from the form. These questions were answered by hearing aid users and their significant others.

The aim of this report is to discuss computer security in handheld computers and to find out the appropriate security level that must be implemented to be able to use handheld computers within the Swedish healthcare system. Most healthcare centers are using some kind of electronic journals for their patient´s data today, but there are still a number of clinics that are usingthe old paper-system. On a few places in Sweden the use of handheld computers at the clinics has already started, but in the United States the use of handheld computers in the medical area is already widespread and from this we can see a lot of different situations where it is useful and effective to work with handheld computers. The security demands on patient´s journals are high and regulated in both Swedish law and regulations from the National Swedish Board of Health and Welfare. The law does not have any substantial demands, but states that there should be an adequate security level based on the nature of the information and the costs.

A strong brand can help a company to be easier to recognize and be remembered by their customers. Part of branding is to create a visual appearance which is called a graphic profile and contains information on for instance a logo, colours or typography.The objective of this thesis was to create a graphic profile for Stjørdal Tannhelsesenter that could serve as a base for a brand work in the future. It was important to analyze how the clinic wants to be perceived and how it is perceived today. The methods used to carry out this study were questionnaires, researches and a focus group.The work resulted in the generation of a graphic profile that included a new logo, colours, decorative elements, fonts, templates for stationery, business card / badge, imagery, and examples of some publications.According to the test which was made to examine the results of the project showed that I was successful and that the new design meets all the requests from the previous questionnaires..

Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate former dental hygienist students? view regarding their education at Kristianstad University.Material and methods: This quantitative study was descriptive and the data collection method was used by a questionnaire. This was sent by post to former dental hygienist students at Kristianstad University. In total, 57 dental hygienists participated in the study.Result: The majority of the respondents (94 %, n=54) were content with their education. The education?s primary strength turned out to be the clinical activity that is conducted while at the same time there was a wish for more practice.

Sjuksköterskeledda mottagningar har blivit ett framgångsrikt sätt att ta hand om stora patientgrupper som lider av kroniska sjukdomar som diabetes, astma och hjärtsvikt (Eklund, 2009). I Sverige lider fyra av tio kvinnor och fem av tio män, av övervikt eller fetma (SCB, 2012). Fetma är ett globalt folkhälsoproblem som leder till en mängd allvarliga konsekvenser, både fysiska, psykiska och sociala, och har blivit en allt större utmaning för vårt samhälle att finna lösningar och effektiva behandlingar till (WHO, 2013). På senare tid har sjuksköterskeledda överviktsmottagningar etablerats. Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva omvårdnadsåtgärder vid sjuksköterskeledd överviktsmottagning.
