The current situation for Swedish grain farmers facing a situation with decreasing profitability makes it necessary for the farmers to find ways of increasing the margins in their grain growing. Decreasing profitabilities along with Lantmännens closing of grain elevators contribute to the necessity for farmers to invest in grain storing and drying at the farm. By investing in capacity for drying and storage of grain on the farm it is possible to recieve a higher price on the grain sold due to the possibility to sell when the price is higher compared to the harvesting season. An investment in grain drying and storage with a relatively low investment cost that recently has appeared on the Swedish market is the grain stir drying system. This study contains a comparison of an investment in a grain stir drying system where the grain is dried and stored in the same silo and a conventional drying and storage system.

I detta tvärvetenskapliga arbete studeras från den matematiska sidan tre klassiska populationsmodeller: Malthus tillväxtmodell, Verhulsts logistiska modell och Lotka-Volterras jägarebytesmodell. De klassiska modellerna jämförs med stokastiska. De stokastiska modeller som studeras är födelsedödsprocesser och deras diffusionsapproximation. Jämförelse görs med medelvärdesbildade simuleringar.Det krävs många simuleringar för att kunna genomföra jämförelserna. Dessa simuleringar måste utföras i datormiljö och det är här den datalogiska aspekten av arbetet kommer in.

Bakgrund: Det finns en rad olika faktorer som påverkar produktutvecklingsprocessen vid ett företag. Isaberg Rapid AB utvecklar, tillverkar och marknadsför en rad produkter inom tre olika produktområden; kontor, verktyg och OEM. Denna studie fokuserar på produktutvecklingsprocesserna inom divisionen för kontorsprodukterna vilken kanske är den mest konkurrentutsatta på företaget. Produkterna som tillhandahålls av divisionen är under hårt tryck från konkurrenter på en global basis och snabba och effektiva produktsläpp är av yttersta vikt för att hävda sig på marknaden. De olika aktiviteterna omkring produktutveckling i kombination med de snabba förändringarna av företagets marknadssituation med nya kundgrupper och ökande konkurrens, har lett fram till vissa specifika ofrånkomliga faktorer som har en stor inverkan på produktutvecklingens effektivitet.

Syfte: År 2005 infördes en ny lag, att företagen som gjorde avsättningar till periodiseringsfonder var tvungna att beskatta en schablonintäkt som erhölls från de gjorda avsättningarna. Problemet som uppsatsen berör är huruvida användandet av överavskrivningar hade förändrats efter att lagen tillkom för periodiseringsfonder jämfört med tidigare. Dessutom fokuserades det också på vilka konsekvenser obeskattade reserver har fått före och efter att lagen trädde i kraft. Syftet med examensarbetet är att kartlägga hur företagens vanor kring avskrivningar över plan förändrades efter införandet av schablonintäkten på periodiseringsfonder, och om överavskrivningar kan anses som ett substitut till periodiseringsfonder istället för ett komplement. Metod: En undersökning gjordes på företagen som är listade på börslistan ?large cap?.

Bakgrunden till vårt val att gå djupare in på ämnena kundinvolvering och lojalitet utvecklades allteftersom vi såg fler och fler faktorer som indikerade på att det idag har blivit allt viktigare att bry sig om kunden. Kundinvolvering fann vi då var ytterligare ett sätt att skapa en god kundrelation och således även stärka lojaliteten, och därför ansåg vi att det var intressant att vidare undersöka hur detta kan integreras i ett företags verksamhet.SyfteHuvudsyftet för vår studie var att identifiera vilka faktorer som kan påverka företagens val och användning av kundinvolvering för att stärka lojaliteten. Detta ämnade vi att uppfylla genom att urskilja vilka aktiviteter företag kan involvera sina kunder i, samt hur involveringen kan integreras i verksamheten.

Industries with energy costs as a large proportion of their total costs are greatly affected by the instruments deployed to cope with the Swedish climate and energy policy goals. With energy costs representing more than 30 % of the total costs, tomato cultivators are one of the affected industries. In order to remain competitive with other countries, a more resource- and cost-efficient cultivation of tomatoes in greenhouses is desirable in Sweden. Based on the concept of industrial symbiosis, this study investigates the prerequisites for a resource-efficient production of locally grown tomatoes in Sweden through the utilization of low grade industrial waste heat. The study is based on the foundry industry as the supplier of waste heat.To investigate the environmental, technical and economic potential of the exchange of waste heat, a comparative life cycle assessment, an inventory of the supply of industrial waste heat in Sweden, a compilation of potential technologies for the recovery of low grade industrial waste heat for heating greenhouses and a comparative life-cycle cost calculation were carried out.
