Sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder vid cancer hos barn - en litteraturstudie

Every year 300 children in Sweden are diagnosed with cancer, but through research and successful clinical work 70 % of the children survive their cancer. Aim: To illuminate nursing care of children with cancer. Method: The study was carried out as a general literature study through systematic review and analyse of 18 scientific articles. Result: The analysis resulted in five themes: Support, play as a psychological assistance, alternatives to Alleviation of pain, nutrition and relieving symptoms of fatigue.Conclusion: It is important that the nurse has knowledge about the children and their family?s experiences when dealing with a cancer illness to provide the children with adequate care.

Hinder och möjligheter för att lindra smärta hos äldre personer - en empirisk studieObstacles and opportunities in dealing with pain management amongst older people - an empirical study

BACKGROUND: There is a high incidence of pain amongst older people. Several studies have shown that between 50 to 80 % of older people, who require domestic care or live in care homes, suffer from pain. Despite this many older people are under treated. AIM: The aim of this study was to explore what care providers perceive to be obstacles and opportunities of managing pain in older people. METHOD: A qualitative approach was used and the date was semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions.

Att smärtlindra en obefintlig extremitet : Upplevelser av fantomsmärtans komplexitet

Fantomsmärta är ett komplext fenomen som drabbar många patienter efter amputation av extremitet. Syftet var att utforska hur fantomsmärtor efter amputation av extremitet kan upplevas och lindras. Litteraturstudiens resultat utgörs av 15 vetenskapliga artiklar som presenteras i tre huvudteman vilka är fantomsmärtans komplexitet, lindring genom transkutan elektrisk nervstimulering och lindring genom rörelseterapi. Det har visat sig att upplevelsen av fantomsmärta medför en negativ påverkan för patienter efter amputation av extremitet. Olika behandlingsmetoder till exempel transkutan elektrisk nervstimulering och rörelseterapi har beprövats med varierande resultat.

The purpose of this study is to understand how parents to children with autism handle difficulties in their daily lives. Previous research defines autism and shows how it can affect families but it doesn?t show how families handle autism. We have done eight qualitative interviews with parents to children with autism. The result shows similar forms of difficulties in families which children with autism, even though the degree of difficulties varies.

In cooperation with Hälsoteamet Halmstad a pilot study was made to see if whole body vibration exercise has any effect on muscle strength, movement and experience of pain in people with knee osteoarthritis. Today whole body vibration exercise is a revolutionary exercise method that needs more studies to show the positive and negative effects. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease where more cartilage is destroyed than replaced. The most common symptoms are pain, stiffness, restricted movement, muscularly atrophy, tenderness and instability. The cartilage needs pressure to rebuild, it is therefore important that the patient exercise.

The demand for animal products has increased in the last decades, especially for poultry and pork. Pork production has increased drastically globally, and also in Uganda. Thirty-one percent of Uganda´s population lives in poverty. I det praktiska rättslivet har frågor om bevisbörda och beviskrav alltid haft en stor betydelse för tvistens utgång. I skadeståndstvister har skadelidande som huvudregel bevisbördan för att det föreligger en ansvarsgrundande handling eller underlåtenhet, att en skada har uppstått och att det föreligger adekvat kausalitet mellan skadan och den ansvarsgrundande handlingen. Skadelidande ska även bevisa skadans art och omfattning. Inte sällan kan det finnas betydande svårigheter för skadelidande att styrka/visa det skadeståndsrättsliga kravet på orsakssamband mellan uppkommen skada och ansvarsgrundande handling. För att skadeståndets preventiva och reparativa syfte inte ska riskera att försvagas kan skadelidande erhålla en bevislättnad.

The way we design our cities today will affect the living conditions for future generations. Planning as a discipline can become crucial to attain a sustainable urban development with an increased quality of life among the urban population and an improved environment. Urban Agriculture in the Sustainable City -a case study in Managua is a Diploma Work that deal with poverty issues, aspects of sustainability and development work. We have had a theoretical starting-point, but our focus has been on the case study i.e. the practical part, that we carried out in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. Today about half of the worlds 6,3 billion people live in cities. The demographic growth of the countryside has declined, while the population in the cities is considerably increasing.
