The number of people of getting allergic symptoms is increasing and the reasons are considered to be many. The human have changed their habits and spend more time indoor. In combination with new building technologies where denser housing constructions and new materials this causes bad indoor climate contributes to a higher occurrence of allergiesThere are several courses of action to deal with this problem. One action is by choosing allergy-free interior surface materials. An allergy-free material emits low concentrations of harmful substances resulting in a great indoor air quality.

This report consists of two parts, out of which the first deals with the planning and designing ofa small house in the Swedish city of Huddinge, using the weather conditions of the Swedish cityof Malmö. The house has to be in accordance with the Swedish building- and constructionregulations, as well as with the limitations in energy consumption given.The house itself has to consist of at least two bedrooms, and blueprints of the house, variousconstructional elements, ventilation, sanitation and electricity have to be drawn. Calculations ofthese aspects also have to be made, to ascertain that the different parts function as they should,and that the dimensions are sufficient.The second part is called ?Allergy free home?, and investigates how indoor climate affects us,and whether it has changed during the last few decades. It also makes an effort to see whetherthe increase of allergies and asthma is correlated with possible changes in indoor climate, andwhether technical solutions might help to handle or even decrease the issues arisen.

Vi har valt att fokusera på problematiken kring vilka faktorer som påverkar vid utbyggnaden av tätortsnära hästhållning. Vad händer när tätorterna byggs ut och genom dessa närmar sig befintliga hästgårdar, eller om nya hästgårdar vill etablera sig nära befintlig bebyggelse? Funktioner såsom bostäder, verksamheter och rekreationsområden måste samsas och samtidigt måste hänsyn tas till allergier och andra störningar. Vi har även studerat hur hästnäringen påverkar samhället, både genom de problem som uppstår, till exempel buller och allergier, samt de ekonomiska möjligheter som uppstår genom ridsporten och alla binäringar kring denna.
