The purpose of this paper was to carry out and evaluate a pedagogic ICT-project, where the computer was implemented in art class. Focus was on the consequences of collaboration and also on the students? understanding of their own performance, compared to techniques in traditional art class.The study was qualitative and began with studies in literature. The contents of the literature are the foundation of the discussion, especially theories concerning the learning process, IT and computer-based learning. In the project, three different groups of students from upper secondary school attended and they where given tasks to solve in the image editing program Paint Shop Pro.

Today it?s common that companies and organizations are facing several challenges and problems when it comes to making their IT-environment more efficient. Some of these are the management of user?s computers and file security. Comput-er users are often tied to their personal computer due to personal programs and files.

Earlier attempts at mechanising pre-commercial thinning have been met with varying degrees of success. Most attempts have been based on techniques where residual stems are straddled. Early treatment is essential to limit damage on residual trees. One part of the present study is an evaluation of mechanised pre-commercial thinning using the new Vimek 404R. Vimek 404R is a fairly small machine that permits selective removal of stems, making it potentially suitable also for areas overdue for pre-commercial thinning. The study established the level of performance for the machine, as well as the improvement needed to make it an economically viable option.

Information is continuously gathered about cows tested at the nucleus herd.

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to study the adaptation of recently recruited young professionals to a top consulting firm through their identity construction efforts. We analyze the influence of a major organization-related discourse on young professionals in order to account for the effects of emotional labor on their adaptation to work. Methodology: We have studied our empirical material in the light of a reflexive pragmatic approach. Thus throughout the analysis of interview material, we try to interpret carefully the material from various perspectives. As authors, we also reflect critically upon our own interpretations.

A vulnerable group in society is people with ASD (autism spectrum disorders) or autism. This group seems to increase, mainly due to genetic factors but also environmental problems. Medical research has accelerated in the U.S. and Europe. The biggest problem for people with disabilities is the inability to communicate, both verbally and socially.

Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka former och frekvens av IKT i ett kommunikativt syfte i skolan.I bakgrunden presenteras att kommunikation med datorerna sätter sin prägel på människors liv och Internet påverkar i hög grad den dagliga tillvaron. Hur tillgången till datorer är i svenska hem och skola samt vilken betydelse datorns placering i har arbetssituationen belyses.I den teoretiska bakgrunden beskrivs vad kommunikation och information är, att vi alltid kommunicerar men det är skillnad på de medel som används. Här belyses även datorns betydelse för kommunikation inom informations- och kommunikationstekniken (IKT). Här exemplifieras vidare datorn i ett pedagogiskt syfte och dess användning inom skolan samt att kringmiljön är viktig.Studien är huvudsakligen baserad på en kvantitativ metodinriktning i form av en enkätundersökning där lärare och elever vid tre skolor i sex olika klasser svarar på frågor kring datorns nyttjande både inom skolan och i hemmet.Resultatet visar att både elever och lärare är frekventa användare av datorer och kommunicerar via IKT i olika former. Båda grupperna är positiva till att i ökad grad kommunicera via IKT.

Denna undersökning omfattar kamerans inverkan på narrativet i visuella medium. Syftet är att få en insikt i hur kunskap om kameratekniker och ?vinklar påverkar hur åskådaren uppfattar vad regissören vill förmedla, och undvika att fokus sätts på element i filmscener som riskerar att förvirra åskådaren. För att undersöka detta problemområde har litteratur om filmhistoria och kamerateknik använts för att sammanfatta kunskap om hur kameran skall användas, för att förmedla relevant information och bygga upp den effekt som regissören strävar efter. Informationen utifrån detta har därefter tjänat som utgångspunkt för att skapa en kort animerad film med rymdtema där kameran eftersträvar att leverera en konkret visuell upplevelse där vinklar används för att understryka vad varje scen vill förmedla.

This thesis was conducted at Linköping University and SAAB Aerostructures, Linköping, and focuses on the automation of flexible fixturing in machining applications. At Linköping University a project called "Koofix" is conducted with support from Strategiska stiftelsen and several manufacturing industries including SAAB Aerostructures. The purpose of this project is to develop a more cost-effective, flexible, technique for fixation of workpieces during processing and assembly.Fixtures are an important part during the machining process, especially if you process the parts with high accuracy. Today a large number of fixtures are used at SAAB and they would prefer to reduce the number of fixtures by using flexible fixtures instead. SAAB uses one fixture for each article and this result in a high fixture cost and it also takes time to design and construct a new fixture.There are several advantages with using a flexible fixture such as that you can process workpieces with different length, height and thickness in the same fixture.

This paper describes the integration of environmental assessment in Swedish municipality comprehensive planning through a chosen case study. The implementation of a new EGdirective in Swedish law, concerning Assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment, should lead to some changes in the way Swedish municipalities' deals with environmental issues in their comprehensive plans. This could later on lead to new preconditions for municipality comprehensive planning. The purpose of this study was to investigate how the planning organisation in the municipality adapts to new regulations for impact assessment of comprehensive plans required by the Planning and Building act. Secondly the purpose was to partly participate in the early stages of the planning process and thereby indicate and identify possible environmental impacts regarding the aspects of land and water. This was done as a case study in a well defined part of the process.

Säsongsbegreppet används flitigt i dagens kommunikation. Säsong har gått från att vara en självklarhet till att bli en av de starkast växande trenderna i Sverige. I detta arbete undersöks inställningen till säsong hos aktörer (producenter, detaljister, grossister och övriga parter), längs den svenska värdekedjan för frukt och grönsaker. Skillnader i definitioner och användning av begreppet kan leda till missförstånd och misstolkningar mellan de olika leden i värdekedjan. Begreppet säsong används i dagens samhälle i flera olika sammanhang, både med miljö, hälsa och i marknadsföringssyfte. Det är tydligt att säsong har en central plats i kommunikationen men vad som är mindre tydligt är att samma ord används i flera sammanhang men innebörden kan skilja sig markant åt. Undersökningen bygger på Critical Incident Technique som ger respondenten möjlighet att uttrycka sig med sina egna ord vilket ger innehållsrika svar där både svaren och berättelserna ger information. Resultatet bygger på enkäter som skickades ut via e-­?post till representanter för alla led i värdekedjan.

Background: Our daily lives and personal interactions are increasingly featuring social media and social networks in particular. Topics regarding social media, its impact on society at large ? both on corporate as well as individual behavior ? has been the focus of many research papers. Personal use of social networks are regularly being mapped out by researchers aiming at clarifying concepts such as engagement, trust and interactivity, and mapped by companies seeking to maximize return on investment concerning their marketing efforts. The aim of our study is (i) to map how companies and/or organizations operating on the Swedish market use their company?s pages on the social media as a way of communicating with their followers and audience, as well as (ii) identifying whether ?Real-Time Marketing?, in our own definition, is used or not.Methods: The research methods used included both quantitative and qualitative content analysis.
