Uppsatsen är den akademiska grunden och diskussionen till en föreslagen teoribildning för att behandla nivådesign kompositionsteoretiskt. Verket som uppsatsen är grund för presenterar slutsatsen från följande text, men exkluderar den motiverande och akademiska delen, i ett försök att lägga fram teorierna till en bredare målgrupp.Texten öppnar med mål och frågeställning för arbetet. Sedan presenteras arbetsmetoden och det teoretiska urvalet. En term central för diskussionen, spelytan, definieras, varefter de utvalda teorierna läggs fram.Innan diskussionen motiveras syftet med teoribildningen. Diskussionen behandlar spelytan utifrån de presenterade teorierna, och slutligen kristalliseras resultatet av diskussionen i en rad punkter i slutsatsen.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka vilka specifika konsekvenser företagisering har haft på vården samt få en nyanserad bild av företagisering. För att undersöka detta valde vi Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala som studieobjekt. Kvalitativ metod användes för att samla in empirisk data. Ostrukturerade intervjuer med personal från olika delar av en sjukhus organisation har utförts. Empirin som vi har fått fram har analyserats med hjälp av den teoretiska referensramen vilket bestod bland annat av olika former av företagisering samt kritik mot New Public Management.

Detta är ett examensarbete på högskoleingenjörsnivå på KTH med inriktning datateknik. Arbetet innehåller beskrivning av hur man ska kunna lösa automatiserade e-postutskick vid händelser på ett ordersystem hos Svenskt Militärhistoriskt Bibliotek. Arbetet beskriver ordersystemets databasstruktur samt övrig befintlig IT-infrastruktur. Resultatet av examensarbetet som presenteras i rapporten är två prototyper som ger två exempel lösningar på problemet med att skapa automatiserade e-postutskick.Första prototypen är tänkt att läggas i användargränsnittet för ordersystemet och skapa direkta e-postutskick från detta användargränssnitt. Managers operating within the dynamic society of today are said to rely on intuition when effective and quick decisions are to be made. This skill or phenomenon has aroused an interest within the academic world of management whom has explored intuition, its relation to decision making and its influencing factors, especially in the private sector. Intuitive decision making is however not isolated solely to this sector but also involved in decision making associated to the public sector. Therefore, the aim of the thesis is to investigate whether managers at the hospital Akademiska in Uppsala involve intuition in decision making and to what extent the factors time, amount of information, individual experience and decision complexity influence the intuition.The theoretical framework includes academic research regarding how intuition and rationality affect decisions, the concept of intuition and factors influencing the intuitiveness of decision making. Furthermore the theoretical discussion explores intuition connected to leadership, negative aspects of intuitive decisions and a comparison between different factors that separates public and private sector in terms of decision making.

The main purpose of this study was to establish to what extent undergraduate students use reference services, what knowledge they have about those services and what their views of them are.The survey took place at Lund University Library, UB1, the main library responsible for collections in social sciences, humanities, theology and law. A total of 476 undergraduate students were asked to fill in a questionnaire, 273 accepted. The study is quantitative and was carried out during the autumn semester, 1996.The results show that the service used most frequently by undergraduate students is the reference collection. The least used service is the Internet, more than 50 percent of the students never use Internet at the University Library. In general, students are very pleased with the service given by the reference librarians, and with the collection of reference books.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka risken för Compassion Fatique hos sjuksköterskor vid Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala. Compassion Fatigue är då en person som konsekvens av sitt empatiska engagemang gentemot en annan person blir emotionellt utmattad. En enkätstudie bland psykiatrisjuksköterskor och sjuksköterskor inom den somatiska vården gjordes, dessa jämfördes i avseende på Compassion Fatique-risk. Huvudresultatet tyder på att nästan en fjärdedel av sjuksköterskorna som grupp är i riskzonen för att utveckla Compassion Fatique och att närmare 40 % av alla deltagare var i riskzonen för att utveckla utbrändhet. 21,9 % låg under referensvärdet för Compassion Satisfaction, vilket innebär att man ej känner sig tillfredställd med sin arbetssituation.

Parkbiblioteket Detta examensprojekt är tänkt att ge Högalidsparken i Stockholm och de boende i staden en ny plats att finna information på, samtidigt som platsen får en ny koppling mellan gatan och parken då gränsen utgörs av en bergskärning idag, och denna är idag planerad att ge plats för nya bostäder. Utformningen av mitt bibliotek är förenklat sett en rampförbunden terrasserad plan som tar besökarna på en vandring upp till den översta nivån där gångvägar passerar förbi och leder vidare till andra delar av Södermalm. Byggnaden hängs delvis in i berget med bergsförankringsstag och byggnadskropparna täcks utvändigt med falsad skivtäckning av zinkplåt. Programmet innefattar även ett mindre café som fungerar som mötesplats mitt bland böcker, studieplatser och sökdatorer..

The main aim of this paper is to illurninate how a group of immigrants meet the publiclibrary in Sweden. I have chosen to discuss Iranian immigrants' meeting with the publiclibrary in Borås. The investigation (qualitative interviews and inquiries) has taken placein the public library of Borås and partly in a local library with high density of immigrants.A theoretical perspective deals with the case study of dual marginality, where theconception of the "Marginal Man" or "The Outsider" is central. I have indicated how theprevious authors have considered this problem, to live on the verge between twodifferent cultures and how individuals react on it.The interviews and inquiries answered by Iranian immigrants are the most importantmaterial in this investigation and the result of them is connected to the theoreticalperspective and a discussion, what it means for the public library..

Uppsatsen är en studie av fjärrlåneverksamheten av äldre tryck, med digitalisering som en valmöjlighet. Kontexten är dels utvecklingen av digitaliseringsprojekt hos bibliotek, dels det användarcentrerade förslaget hos 2010 års fjärrlåneutredning. Som fallstudier beskrivs två bibliotek i Umeå, universitetsbiblioteket och Sveriges depåbibliotek. Utvärderingens centrala fråga är om digitalisering kan vara ett passande alternativ till fjärrlån av äldre tryck, för att stärka användarvänligheten. Problembilden utgår från en frågeställning över tre områden: Hur ser fjärrlånetrafiken av äldre tryck ut? Vilka problematiska aspekter finns det kring fjärrlån? Vilka konsekvenser får ett alternativ som digitalisering?Fjärrlån utgör en mycket liten del av den totala lånesumman, och det äldre trycket av det samma en nästan obetydlig del.

The aim with this thesis is to investigate how librarians experience communication with children in reference interviews. In today?s interactive community it is meaningful to study how children communicate with the librarian in virtual reference interview as well as in ordinary reference interviews in physical libraries. Focus has been on finding out what children ask about and how they are asking in virtual reference interviews and in ordinary reference interviews, what type of information needs the children have. The study also focuses on which barriers there can be in reference interviews.

With background in the acknowledgement of the current period of major change in the characteristics of traditional Swedish foreign policy, considering the membership in the European Union, as well as the new contextual scenarios that Sweden has been situated in after the end of the cold war, this thesis aims at scrutinizing the Swedish Foreign Policy from 1991 to 2010. The purpose of the thesis is further to localize continuity and change in the ideas which Sweden has explicitly stated in its foreign policy. Based on the theory of institutionalism, the thesis also aims to bring forward plausible explanations built on the main empirical findings. This has been done by identifying different types of goals and means within realism and liberalism as well as categorizing each theory within three ideal types.The chosen research method has been a qualitative text analysis with focus on an ideational analysis. The material on which the descriptive analysis is based upon is constituted by the annual statements of government policy in parliamentary debates on foreign affairs.The results of the thesis show that the ideas that are related to solidarity, consensus and active foreign policy are constant through the period of examination.

This Master?s thesis is the first to quantitatively study the prevalence of library anxiety at a Swedish university. Library anxiety is a concept describing the negative feelings students can experience when using the library. The study was conducted using web questionnaires sent out to 512 students at Växjö university. 38 % responded and the results were analysed with the help of, amongst other methods, correlation studies.
