The purpose of this study is to describe and understand how the principle of the child?s best interest in the asylum process for families with children is interpreted and implemented in practice by the asylum bureaucrats at the Swedish Migration Agency. Our questions are:?How is the best interest of the child in families with children interpreted by the asylum bureaucrats at the Swedish Migration Agency??"How are asylum bureaucrats at the Swedish Migration Agency reasoning about the implementation in practice of the child's best interest in families with children?The essay rests upon semi-structured interviews with eight asylum bureaucrats at three different asylum units. The interviews are based on an interview guide together with a vignette, which purpose was to see how the interviewees are implementing the best interest of the child in a specific case of a potential application.

It has been even more important in the forest sector in recent years to look at the whole chain from suppliers to end users, to improve operations and improve performance and the profits of the company. The research and development have been concentrated on the buyer?s market and product development, probably because this research has capability to give an increased cash flow. But to obtain stability and continuity in the production and selling units, the suppliers should also be investigated. The aim of this thesis is to study a one company's existing suppliers of roundwood and investigate the differences and attitudes they have about the company offerings.

Studien syftade till att undersöka polisers upplevelse kring debriefing. Studien undersökte hur polismyndigheten i Skåne län arbetar med debriefing och vad de kan utveckla samt förbättra. Litteraturgenomgången tar upp de sju olika faser som debriefing kretsar kring samt vilka förutsättningar som bör råda för att en debriefing ska kunna hållas. Studien är av kvalitativ art, fyra intervjuer med två kvinnor och två män genomfördes. Urvalspersonerna var två erfarna poliser samt två relativt nyutexaminerade poliser, förutsättningen var att de genomgått debriefing.

Early extubation of cardiac surgery patients has become increasingly important. The assessment of the patient before an early extubation is crucial and the intensive care nurses (ICU nurses) in this estimation is there for very important.The aim of this study was to examine critical care nurses' knowledge of early extubation, and what view ICU nurse has about factors that affect the time to extubation of cardiac surgery patients.A quantitative approach with descriptive and comparative design was used. Selection was all ICU nurses at a thoracic intensive care unit who were clinically active in patient care.The study showed that ICU nurses had good knowledge of why an early extubation was essential. However, the knowledge about the unit?s extubation criteria was low.

Syftet med uppsatsen är ?Hur kan bygg och konstruktion skapa möjligheter för barns matematiska utveckling i förskolan?? För att ta reda på det observerade jag några barns, i en förskoleverksamhet, bygg- och konstruktionsaktiviteter. Jag intervjuade även barnen för att ta reda på vilka begrepp barnen kunde som kunde kopplas ihop med bygg och konstruktion samt vad de trodde att ordet bygga betydde. Jag utförde även några aktiviteter tillsammans med barnen. Resultatet av mina metoder var att de flesta barnen kunde de matematiska begreppen som jag frågade dem om samt att de använde sig av begreppen i deras aktiviteter och lekar.

This study had two different aims. The main aim was to investigate the dynamics and impact of African swine fever (ASF) on a farm in Uganda during a recent outbreak through a case study. The second aim was to estimate the presence of two important differential diagnoses of ASF: Classical swine fever (CSF) and Porcine Reproduction and Respiratory syndrome (PRRS).The field and laboratory based case study of the farm level dynamics of ASF virus during a recent outbreak (October-December 2010) on a farm in the district of Mityana, Uganda, was conducted, using interviews, ELISA and RT-PCR. The financial impact on the farm was also estimated. The impact of the outbreak was profound.

This hermeneutic case study examines how and why an insurance company?s output has been affected by a CEO-succession. The authors pay specific attention to three activities; changes in personnel and organization structure, handling of media and change in customer focus. The purpose of this study was to examine how modern information and communication technology influence collective action within the framework of social movements. By studying the protests in the Arab World 2011, and focusing on the social movements in Suleimanya in northern Iraq, by observation taken on place, the essay discusses that collective action is closely related to the use of technology, for example cell phones and Internet.Result shows that modern communication technology has enabled immeasurable access andconnection between individuals throughout the world, which seems to be different from previouscollective action. The new communication channels in the form of social media, has been used for the dissemination of information and news, documentation, organization and membership recruitment in the social movements in the Arab World and Suleimanya. The new social movements have the tendency to be decentralized and flattened organized, they are now self-organizing and that they only do a whole as global patterns, as evidenced by the social movements in the Arab World andSuleimanya..

Ever since Lipsky wrote about street-level bureaucrats in 1980 the main belief has been that certain characteristics of their jobs make it exceptionally difficult to severely reduce their discretion. However, discretion comes at a price and if public servants abuse their power the legitimacy of government is at risk and ultimately even the democracy.This thesis address this question by analysing the Swedish employment service which in the beginning of 2001 started a project called ?Af Sverige? trying to improve internal rule of law. By comparing two local and fairly equal jobcentres and how the street-level bureaucrats within use their discretion, I seek to find support for my hypotheses that organizing local jobcentres according to the principles of machine bureaucracy plays a significant part in reducing discretion.My findings show that a jobcentre characterised by strict rules, few units, good communications and a forthright manager who delegates formal power to the employees results in a stricter and more uniform application of regulations among the street-level bureaucrats. My conclusion is therefore unambiguous.

Arbete med hållbar utveckling är ytterst aktuellt i dagens samhälle. I detta arbete spelar lärarna en betydelsefull roll. Skolor kan idag ansöka om att få en miljöcertifiering för att på ett naturligt och engagerande sätt få in och stimulera miljöfrågorna i skolans och förskolans dagliga verksamhet. De två certifieringar som finns idag är Utmärkelsen Miljöskola och Grön Flagg. Vi har framförallt undersökt om elever på en miljöcertifierad skola har ökad insikt inom den ekologiska dimensionen av hållbar utveckling.

Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att få en ökad förståelse för den svenska kosumentens uppfattning om CSR samt hur detta påverkar deras agerande i en reel köpsituation.Vi har utgått från teorier såsom FCB-grid, TORA-modellen samt en modell över konsumenters attityd till att handla etiskt. Vi har även belyst informationsbehovet och dessutom tagit del av fyra stycken undersökningar som tidigare gjorts kring ämnet.Empirin grundar sig på nio stycken kvalitativa djupintervjuer, gjorda på konsumenter.Vi fann att den svenska konsumenten tycker det är viktigt att ett företag tar sitt etiska samt sociala ansvar. Dock är de inte konsekventa i ord och handling i och med att de inte agerar etiskt i en köpbeslutsprocess..

The aim with this thesis was to acquire an understanding for how individuals handle the feeling of shame in connection with cultural consumption. In order to capture the feeling of shame we developed an interview method called the Backstabber interview technique. We found that the Backstabber interview technique successfully triggered feelings of shame in connection to cultural consumption, which made it possible for us to study the handling of shame. We found that our respondents tended to use different forms of accounts in order to handle the feeling of shame. We categorized them into five accounts with relating sub-accounts.

In this study, the pre-tension force in an insert screw connection are examined in order to establish a greater understanding of the system and to facilitate the process of making new metal cutting tools. Certain especially significant design variables such as the offset, the length of the contact thread and the shank length above the threaded hole, are selected to be closely examined. A comparison of the influence on the pre-tension force between threaded holes made with a worn, versus new, threading tool is also involved in the experiment. The study is limited to handling the screw sizes M2,5 and M3,5. The results show that a regression model, with good approximation, can be fitted to the measured values.
