The essay is about pensioners who are working out at a gym. My starting point is the research program "Culture of ageing? and the theory that pensioners in the post- and late modern society conquer new potential areas. I am studying the meeting between pensioners and the gym. How the pensioners conquer the gym, relate to their training and what makes them stay after the first introduction.

In light of the European Union`s 2012 theme year: Active Aging and solidarity between generations I wished to gain an understanding of weather elderly immigrant are provided with equal possibilities and access to local community information as the majority population and their participation in activities arranged for senior citizens in the municipality where they live. I have done this by meeting with those who work in this capacity. I also chose to meet with representatives for immigrant organizations in the local community to enquire of their work with senior citizens within their own ethnic group. This is a qualitative study on a phenomenological ground based on nine interviews and four observations. I have had two theories to help me analyze my empirical material.

Äldre yrkesverksamma är en ökande grupp på arbetsmarknaden. Det är inte ovanligt att stereotypa uppfattningar kring denna grupp resulterar i åldersdiskriminering. Det är även känt att människor förändras, både till det bättre och sämre, genom åren och att detta påverkar individens yrkesutövande. Sex grundskolelärare intervjuades med syftet att beskriva och förstå hur de ser på åldrandet, pensionen, hur de upplever att de utvecklats under åren samt hur de upplever att omgivningen ser på dem. Erfarenheter ansågs vara det mest positiva med att vara äldre medan distansen till eleverna var det negativa.

To buy ?new and fresh?.Patterns with different expressions, colouring and size, were explored that increase the value of a product which in this project contained handles and varies of surfaces on casseroles, frying pans, whisks, cutlery etc.

Japan is the first industrialized country that is experiencing the threat of a rapidly declining and Aging population. This has shifted the focus and the limelight is now on the matter that for a long time has been ignored. That is, the Japanese women?s situation in the society. This thesis seeks to point out the relevance of gender in the construction of leadership in order to get a deeper understanding of the Japanese women?s situation today.

The SK 60 Aircraft has been a workhorse for the Air Force?s training of future pilots since the late 1960s. The Aging SK60 aircraft is going out of style, and the system has merely a few years of total running time left. A replacement for the SK 60 needs to be implemented in the coming years, and the Armes Forces Flying School has been commissioned to conduct flight tests on suitable replacement systems. This study will conduct a system analysis of two aircrafts mentioned in the Flying Schools report.

SAMMANFATTNING Syftet: Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att studera hur anhöriga till äldre personer upplevde sin situation i i samband med att de vårdade sina äldre hemma, hur de hanterade sin situation, samt vilka strategier de använde sig av för att hantera sin roll som anhörigvårdare. Metod: Databaserna Cinahl och Medline användes i sökningarna efter relevanta artiklar. Sökord som användes var relative and older people and home care, home health care and family caregiver elderly people, family caregivers and care givers of Aging people, elderly people and family care givers of Aging people, family care givers of older people, family caregivers and frail elderly, family caregiver and older people and home care, home care older people and family caregivers older people, family caregivers older people. Efter genomläsning bedömdes 16 artiklar vara användbara i resultatet. Dessa kom från vetenskapliga tidskrifter och artiklarna innehöll både kvalitativa studier som kvantitativa studier.

AbstraktStudien fokuserade begreppet prestationsbaserad självkänsla (PBS) och åldrande. PBS betraktades som ett samtida problem som kan komma att öka och aktualiseras i takt med att vi åldras, då vi blir mindre benägna att prestera. Med ett ökat antal äldre och få studier som belyser PBS i relation till åldrandet och dess inverkan, ansågs temat viktigt att utforska vidare.Syftet var att öka förståelsen för prestationsbaserad självkänsla, dess effekter och eventuella koppling till psykisk ohälsa hos äldre.Utifrån en explorativ och deskriptiv ansats i form av en litteraturstudie, användes en induktiv innehållsanalys i studiet av sex vetenskapliga texter.Resultatet visade sammantaget på att PBS främst tycks ha en negativ inverkan, med en ökad sårbarhet för stress och psykisk ohälsa samt en högre konfliktgrad i nära relationer. PBS benämns som beständig och torde kunna påverka i åldrandet. Uppväxtmiljö och socioekonomisk bakgrund kan inverka i utvecklandet av PBS och vidare forskning föreslogs..
