The ambition of this paper is to study the construction of the categorization between ?us? and ?them? in a religious minority, represented by Jehovah?s Witnesses and a nationalist political party, represented by the Swedish Democrats. This will be done by a discursive psychology analysis of their official publications on each group?s website. By a deductive study using Henri Tajfel?s Social Identity Theory trying to disclose the psychological processes; social categorization, social identity, social comparison and psychological distinctiveness.

Demenssjukdom innebär en successiv förlust av såväl fysiska som kognitiva funktioner som har betydelse för den enskilde personens vardagsliv. Syftet med studien var att beskriva den fysiska och kognitiva funktionsförmågan hos personer med misstänkt eller diagnostiserad demens och hur den förändras över en period av tre år. Vidare var syftet att jämföra den förändrade funktionsförmågan hos dessa personer med en motsvarande grupp ur en normalpopulation av äldre. Materialet till denna studie hämtades från två forsknings- och utvecklingsprojekt, Demensvård i Blekinge (DIBS) och The Swedish National Study on Aging and Care (SNAC). I studien användes instrumenten ADL-trappan, Bergerskalan samt MMT.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur unga män respektive kvinnor boende i Sverige resonerar kring sitt beteende vid resandet till ett annat land och om resandet i sig bidrar till identitetsskapande. Vi ämnar att undersöka om individer bedömer det mer legitimt att utföra handlingar som i hemlandet anses vara mindre accepterat och om det finns någon skillnad mellan dessa föreställningar beroende på individens könstillhörighet. Uppsatsen baseras på ett kvalitativt tillvägagångssätt då tio intervjuer har genomförts med fem män respektive fem kvinnor i åldersspannet 20-30 år. Intervjuerna har kodats och därefter analyserats med hjälp av de valda teorierna vilka bland andra är identitet, genus och ojämlikhet. Vid analysprocessen har även tidigare forskning tillämpats för att stärka de resultat som framkommit under studieprocessen.

How do museums work with plurality in their organizations and in the production of exhibitions and other activities? This paper examines how civic museums, provincial museums and state museums work with plurality from a perspective of culture policies, particularly in relation to the government bill Tid för kultur, issued by the Swedish government in 2009.All together I examine 25 museums and their efforts to include marginalized groups in their activities and exhibitions. To do so I have studied four possible measures that are available for the museums. This includes the following: projects that pay attention to a marginalized group or their living conditions; projects that are specifically created for a marginalized group; projects that include a marginalized group in the museums preparations; and projects were museums give full responsibility to a marginalized group. I have also examined how plurality have been presented ? as isolated cultures and cultural expressions or as hybrids and interchangeable phenomenons ? and to what extent the museums are ready to involve marginalized groups in their physical environment and in their exhibition and activity programs.

In this essay I have read the novels Wide Sargasso Sea (Jean Rhys 1966), Desirada (Maryse Condé 1997) and Invisible Cities (Italo Calvino 1972) through Édouard Glissant?s notion of the primary scene in Philosophie de la relation. Poésie en étendue. I have examined how the primary scene can be seen as a political/an aesthetical strategy in the three novels. This was done in order to question the blunted tool of the notion of the identity, which is often considered in studies regarding ?postcolonial novels?.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how the identity of the public librarianwith regard to reading is manifested in the library field. The approaches thatare taken to reading and readers are examined as well as the consequencesdifferent approaches might have. The empirical material is based on 93articles published in Swedish library journals. The theoretical andmethodological starting point is discourse analysis. The application ofdiscourse analysis according to Michel Foucault?s hypotheses reveals threediscursive formations regarding the professional identity of public librarianswithin the framework of reading promotion: The public librarian asguarantor of democracy is related to the public library's original mission offostering, cultivating and educating citizens.

Att själv vara gammal och vårda någon annan kan vara både fysiskt och psykiskt tärande och kan påverka både hälsa och livskvalitet. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva livskvalitet, självrapporterad hälsa och social situation hos personer i åldern 60-96 år i Blekinge, som ger stöd/hjälp eller vårdar någon närstående, i jämförelse med män och kvinnor som ej stödjer/ hjälper eller vårdar någon närstående. Metod: Uppgifter togs ur den nationella äldrestudien SNAC - The Swedish National study on Aging and Care. I Blekinge fanns totalt insamlade uppgifter från 1402 personer i åldrarna 60- 96 år och av dessa har vi jämfört 89 närståendevårdare med 89 icke närståendevårdare. Resultat: Utifrån resultatet om självrapporterad hälsa kan tydas att cirka 70 procent av gruppen närståendevårdare, och lika många i gruppen icke närståendevårdare, anser sig ha en god, mycket god eller utmärkt hälsa.

The purpose of this study is to illustrate, analyze and discuss how a group of Swedish-born adolescents of non-Swedish descent identify themselves in relation to personal experiences of belonging and loyalty. I have chosen a qualitative research methodology in the form of one group interview and two individual interviews.The result of the study shows that the group of Swedish-born adolescents of non-Swedish descent identify themselvs with one or more nation-states in different ways depending on different concept metaphors that underlie the concept of nation in different national discourses..

In this essay I want to investigate how the Viking aristocratic warrior elite in Scandinavia used religious mythology for the construction of their identity. The essay also takes up the concept of honor, which was important for the warriors. Honor was central to all people during Viking age and for the warriors it was absolute. In the religious myths, the aristocratic warriors justify their position in society and legitimate their acts of war. Religion continues to have importance to the warrior elite even after the arrival of Christianity.

Bakgrund:Globalt sett har personer över 65 år varit den åldersgrupp som växt snabbast och levnadsåldern bedöms att kontinuerligt stiga, vilket också ökar behovet av adekvata vård- och omsorgsinsatser. Äldres upplevelse av livstillfredsställelse minskar gradvis med stigande ålder. För att effektivt kunna stödja äldre inom detta område är det viktigt att bland vård- och omsorgspersonal öka kunskapen inom detta fenomen. Syfte:Att studera samband mellan upplevelse av livstillfredsställelse i relation till självskattad hälsa och ensamhetskänsla samt i relation till demografiska förhållanden. Metod:En tvärsnittsstudie med hjälp av frågeformulär från The Swedish National study on Aging and Care i Blekinge.
