Vacuum box leak testing is, because of geometrical problems, not always possible andtherefore an alternate test method with dye penetrant is used. DEKRA Industrial has identifieda need for quality assurance of the method and development of a written procedure withguidelines that lead to more uniform ways of testing.A literature study was done to get a general overview of nondestructive testing (NDT) and tosee how the method is used in different applications. European and American standards werestudied. Analytical and numerical solutions, involving flow simulation, were deemed to berather difficult and beyond the scoop of this project. Thus the problems had to be solved byusing experimental methods.

The purpose of this study was to examine the extent to which incontinence aids, used in local authority/municipal nursing homes, were adapted to the resident?s urine-leakage volume and to find out how nurses perceived the current situation concerning individual testing of incontinence aids in municipal nursing homes. The study method was a quantitative empirical study and was carried out in two phases. The first phase was a weighing test, carried out in three nursing homes, whereby the incontinence aids used by 25 residents during a 48 hour period were weighed. The second phase was the completion of a questionnaire by the municipal nurses working in the same local authority.

Aim The aim of this study was to investigate the attitudes of midwives and gynaecologists at youth health clinics about their own thoughts of risks with unprotected oral sex and testing of orally contagious sexually transmitted infections (STI). The aim was also to investigate the level of knowledge of oral STIs. One further aim was to examine what they thought about the level of knowledge about oral STIs among adolescents and how common unprotected oral sex is within this group and if oral STIs/oral sex is brought up in the form of information or questions during STI-testing.Method Seventy-five youth health clinics all over Sweden were randomly chosen. A questionnaire was sent by mail to the clinics. It included questions about attitudes, knowledge about STIs and information exchange.

Flertalet forskare redogör för att företags lednings- och styrkoncept måste förändras för att tillgodose de behov som den moderna globala marknadens dynamik ställer. De senaste decennierna har Lean och Agile trätt fram som två lednings- och styrkoncept som vunnit i popularitet och anammats av många företag som önskar effektivisera sin verksamhet. Både Lean och Agile använts främst inom produktion och det finns relativt lite forskning kring hur dessa två lednings- och styrmodeller appliceras inom andra verksamhetsområden samt hur de kan kombineras.Syfte:Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur ledningsgrupper inom en global IT- organisation använder sig av och kombinerar Lean och Agile, samt hur ledningsgrupperna upplever att detta påverkar deras arbetssätt och leveransförmåga.Metod:Studien är genomförd i form av en kvalitativ fallstudie av företaget Volvo IT. Insamling av data har skett via intervjuer med representanter för olika ledningsgrupper inom Volvo IT samt genom att sitta med vid möten och föra anteckningar och via insamlad dokumentation från websidor och intern företagsinformation.Slutsats:Resultaten visar på att Lean och agila arbetssätt tycks fungera bra ihop och kompletterar varandra väl.

Ipendo Systems in Linköping, Sweden, is a small IT consulting firm developing among other things custom portal applications based on Microsoft Sharepoint 2010. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether the test tools TestComplete and LoadComplete provide sufficient compatibility for functional and non-functional testing of Ipendo Systems? Sharepoint based applications, as well as design testing related activities to be incorporated into their existing software development framework. A test process maturity framework was chosen and applied for the design of the testing activities, while the test tool investigation resulted in guidelines on how to apply the tools effectively and circumvent any issues discovered..

Test is an area in system development. Test can be performed manually or automated. Test activities can be supported by Word documents and Excel sheets for documenting and executing test cases and as well for follow up, but there are also new test tools designed to support and facilitate the testing process and the activities of the test. This study has described manual test and identified strengths and weaknesses of manual testing with a testing tool called Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) and of manual testing using test cases and test log templates developed by the testers at Sogeti. The result that emerged from the problem and strength analysis and the analysis of literature studies and firsthand experiences (in terms of creating, documenting and executing test cases) addresses the issue of the following weaknesses and strengths.

To automate software testing is an investment, and that makes it important to have good knowledge about automation before an implementation is made. In this master thesis a study about automated testing is carried out. The study also includes a closer look at the testing tool TestComplete. TestComplete is one out of many tools on the market that is developed for automated GUI testing and the goal is to get a picture of how well the tool can adjust to CC Systems own applications. Studies show that it is hard to write lasting test scripts.

Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att utforska och förstå hur ledarskapet påverkas när en organisation genomgår en förändring till en agil verksamhet. Bakgrunden till undersökningen grundar sig i den traditionella synen på ledarskap där chefen ledde och fördelade arbetet. Under 1950-talet förändrades synen på arbetsledning och arbetsfördelning där medarbetarna blev allt mer delaktiga i arbetsprocessen.Med utgångspunkt i detta har vår forskning behandlat de effekter på ledarskapet som inträffar när en organisation går ifrån ?command and control? till ?empowerment?. Därav har vi ställt upp följande frågeställningar; Hur har kontrollen (över teamen) förändrats för linjechefen i övergången från Classic Waterfall till Agile, På vilket sätt har förändringen påverkat linjechefens informationshämtning till att genomföra IPM-samtal och Vilka effekter får förändringen på ledarstilen när organisationen övergår till en agil organisation.Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod där åtta semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med linjechefer ur två avdelningar för att samla in vårt empiriska material.

Currently many organizations are transitioning from the traditional approach to the agile approach regarding systems development methods. It is evident that research has mainly focused on smaller organizations transitioning, whilst less focus has been given t0 larger organizations. We find this interesting and the purpose of this study is to gain a deeper and broader knowledge concerning the following research question: How is system development work affected by a change from traditional system development methods to Scrum in large global organizations. We also investigate how Scrum can be adapted to complex projects with an internal client. The study is based on a case study, which takes a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews for information gathering and was conducted on a major Swedish telecom company.

The purpose of our study was to look at the connection between theories, research work and concepts when it comes to teenagers and the testing of drugs. The theories we have used are Erikssons development theory, psychoanalysis and labelling theory. Concepts that we focused on for our study were youthculture, the search for identity and the testing of drugs. We did this by asking students, in ninth grade, to fill in questionnaire and interviews.Teenagers find themselves in a confusing stage in life and in a search for their identities they test many different things. The youthculture can be a contributing factor to them testing drugs.

Websites are often developed by small businesses, organizations or individuals which may lead to that the testing gets left behind; the focus is on getting a finished product that can be deployed as quickly and as cheaply as possible.Functional testing is important also for websites and a variety of aids exist. With the right tools and methods the development work is facilitated, and it leads to products with fewer faults.This report shows in the form of a case study how an appropriate tool for functional testing can be selected and how it can be used within development of a website. An analysis of the tools available is reported and JSystem is selected as the most appropriate for this case.It turned out that JSystem could not be used fully as intended in terms of deployment, but a well-functioning alternative solution was developed.A number of test cases were created without any unsolvable problems and JSystem performed well. Without communication, success would be impossible. This study aims to highlight the effect communication has on the members of agile project teams.

This study focuses on a specific organization of a Security Operations Center (SOC) as a case studyto first identify specific challenges related to the work process, preceding with identifying whichprinciples from various process models, such as agile and traditional methodologies from softwaredevelopment companies, can be implemented. Initially, the study presents relevant research on agile and traditional process models as well asresearch on SOC. Subsequently, six semi-structured interviews are planned and conducted withemployees within a specific SOC-type organization to identify the current work process and thechallenges affecting the organization?s work process. The results of this study indicate a description of the current work process in the organization aswell as a variety of challenges related to technical and organizational issues.
