Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur Aftonbladet och Expressen framställer händelserna kring Saabs kris och konkurs som skedde år 2011.Teorin och metoden som används i uppsatsen är en retorisk analys. De moment som huvudsakligen ligger till grund för den retoriska analysen är språket och de angreppsvinklar som journalisten använder sig av för att övertyga sina läsare.Materialet består av artiklar från Aftonbladet och Expressen gällande det som har skrivits om Saabs kris och konkurs under år 2011. Urvalet har gjorts genom att välja ut 30 stycken artiklar från de två kvällstidningarna genom att göra ett nedslag varje månad och plocka ut artiklar som lyfter upp viktiga händelser kring krisen.Huvudresultatet är att nyhetsrapporteringen pendlar mycket mellan hopp och förtvivlan. Ena stunden låter det som att allt ska lösa sig och att man inte behöver oroa sig längre medan man nästa stund kan läsa om att nu är slutet nära. Det är helt enkelt en resa som pendlar mycket mellan hopp och förtvivlan..

För många människor är medierna den största, och ibland enda, källan till politisk information. Det innebär att medierna i stor utsträckning påverkar medborgarna när de skapar uppfattningar om sådant som de inte själva upplever. Men kommunikation kan aldrig vara neutral. När journalister gestaltar politik väljer de ett antal aspekter som blir mer framträdande, medan andra utelämnas. Dessa gestaltningar kan sedan påverka hur människor stödjer politiska förslag.Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur Sverigedemokraterna och dess väljare gestaltas i Aftonbladet och Expressen en vecka före och en vecka efter valet 2014, samt hur tidningarna förmedlar ett politiskt budskap under samma period. Studien visar att skandalgestaltningar av Sverigedemokraterna dominerar i både Aftonbladet och Expressen före valet.

The purpose of this study is to show how the Swedish newspapers Aftonbladet andDagens Nyheter reported on and described Dag Hammarskjöld as a man and a symbolat the time of his death in 1961. The method for the research has been a qualitativethematic analysis of the content in the articles published from the date ofHammarskjöld´s death to the day after the funeral. The study has been based on theoriesabout newspapers roles in the construction of imagined communities, the use of mythsand the objectifying of abstract ideas in news texts.I have found that the investigated newspapers described Dag Hammarskjöld assynonymous with the United Nations, the world peace and a hope for the future. He wasalso described as a link between the present and the past in the Swedish history at thesame time as he was described as a man of the people. He was representing?Swedishness? in an international context and the cosmopolitan.

The title is a quote from a blog entry written by the Swedish journalist Linus Fremin. For many years Fremin suffered from bulimia and he claims that men for a long time have been excluded from medias coverage of eating disorders.We wanted to try this thesis and decided to do a quantitative study of articles published in two Swedish newspapers, Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter, regarding eating disorders during the period 20101129-20121129. We studied 199 articles and counted the occurrence of men and women in the texts.Our study showed that women were represented in a majority of the articles, whereas the men were clearly much more absent. In most of the articles eating disorders were described as a female issue and men were rarely included. It?s difficult to say how the ideal division of men and women in media?s coverage of eating disorders should look like.

Informationsteknik (IT) är en marknad som förändras snabbt. Att investera i IT kan därför vara kritiskt. Att ha en strategi för hur satsningar på IT ska göras kan minska risken för felinvesteringar på IT men strategin kan även ge andra fördelar. Att ha en IT-strategi innebär dock inte automatiskt att den ger fördelar. IT-strategin bör även användas.

The purpose of this essay is to examine and compare the news covering of Swedens three biggest cities (the metropolitan areas) and their surrounding areas with the covering of the rest of the country (the provincial areas) in two daily national newspapers, Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter. The aim has been to answer the following questions:- What amount of the news coverage in Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter concern the metropolitan areas compared to the provincial areas, and how do these two newspapers differ in the news covering of these areas?- Is there a difference in the news articles size and content, depending on weather they concern the metropolitan or the provincial areas?- How has the balance between news concerning metropolitan and provincial areas changed over the recent 20 years?The theories used in this study are News values, the media commercialization and Popular Journalism, and The Agenda Setting Theory. The method that has been used is a Quantitative Content Analysis.Despite the essays hypothesis, that the news coverage in the two newspapers would be dominated by material from the metropolitan areas, the result showed that a majority of the examined articles concern the provincial areas. It also showed that Aftonbladet has a bigger percentage of provincial news than Dagens Nyheter.

News graphics as a part of journalism is something that?s constantly developing along with the news. That?s what we believed when we started this paper including its study. And we still believe the same, now that we?re done.News graphics itself is fairly common in Swedish newspapers, it can be seen every day in almost any major newspaper and is perfect for describing an event like the pollution of the sea over many years or just simply point out on a map where a city is located.This is one of the reasons to why we wrote this; another reason is that there?s almost nothing else written on the subject in northern Europe.

Fallen vi valt att studera närmare är Rissnefallet 2000, Stureplansvåldtäkten 2007 samt Tenstafallet 2013. De frågor som ligger till grund för vår undersökning är: Vilka får uttala sig? Hur framställs offer och gärningsmän? Finns det några skillnader och likheter i rapporteringen av fallen? This BA Thesis in Journalism is a quantitative analysis of the coverage of wolves in Swedish printed media. Namely four daily newspapers, two national and two local. The two national newspapers are Aftonbladet which is a leading tabloid newspaper with national coverage and Svenska Dagbladet which is one of the two major newspapers with national coverage, as well as coverage of the greater Stockholm region. The two local newspapers are Falu Kuriren, which is located in Falun and mainly cover the province of Dalarna and Nya Wermlands-tidningen which is located in Karlstad and mainly cover the province of Värmland. These are provinces which have a large wolf population.As the work progressed we found that the newspapers have handled the coverage of the wolf in, what we believe, a good way.

Purpose/Aim: The purpose of this essay is to examine the ways two Swedish tabloid newspapers portray and describe the non-Socialist parties during the Swedish election of 2006.Material/Method: We have been studying 388 articles about the non-Socialist parties, derived from the two largest tabloid newspapers in Sweden, Aftonbladet and Expressen, during the month before the election. The method for the study is quantitative content analysis.Main results: The main conclusions drawn from this study are that Aftonbladet had twice as much written material about the non-Socialist parties, despite the fact that the paper is traditionally Socialist, while Expressen had consistently larger headlines. Both tabloids function to a higher degree as political actors than arenas for politics. The results are in accordance with earlier research, which shows that the degree of attention the non-Socialist parties acquired as a whole in the 2006 election, is remarkable. More than half of the articles in both tabloids portrayed the non-Socialist parties as a single political actor.
