This study is about the work around festivals and traditions that takes place in multicultural preschools. The purpose of this study is to describe and reflect upon the work around festivals and traditions in multicultural preschools from the view of five preschool teachers who are active in their profession.  The purpose is also to investigate which festivals and traditions that are given attention at preschool and for what reason according to the preschool teachers.The method of research chosen in this study is qualitative in the form of individual interviews with the intention of obtaining and interpreting the descriptions and reflections of the informants around the subject. The results will be analyzed from an intercultural perspective.The results show that all investigated preschools celebrate the traditional Swedish festivals Christmas, St. Lucia?s day, Easter and Midsummer, and that these festivals take up lots of space in terms of time and labor.

Detta är ett försök att skildra den livsåskådningstradition som med utgångspunkt från moderna vetenskapliga resultat söker påvisa ett samband mellan dessa och den urgamla shamanistiska tradition som en gång varit världsomspännande och fortfarande lever i spridda rester av vissa kulturkretsar.Jag har för detta ändamål läst den litteratur som jag här sammanfattar i resultatdelen samt redovisar under rubriken "Diskussion och slutsats" med en religionsvetenskaplig analys och en fenomenografisk genomgång.Min forskningsuppgift är att utifrån ett religionsvetenskapligt perspektiv göra en deskriptiv analys av några centrala arbeten inom det som kallas den nya fysiken och en shamanistisk tradition i anslutning till den.Den röda tråd som jag ser löpa genom denna litteratur påvisar dels utifrån olika förutsättningar annorlunda sätt att uppfatta och förhålla sig till "verkligheten" och dels finns här genomgående mer eller mindre religiösa övertoner. En gemensam nämnare för denna idétradition är även den parallell man ser mellan komplementaritet, dvs. ljusets våg/partikeldualism, och olika medvetandetillstånd. Detta innebär i båda fallen ett överskridande av vår vanliga tids- och rumsuppfattning. Vidare krävs det såväl inom shamanismen som i den kvantmekaniska forskningen att man är en kreativ medskapare, inte en objektiv iakttagare..

Since time immemorial, nature has been conceived of as a female entity. This ancient concept is also a recurring element in contemporary Swedish horror fiction. The purpose of this thesis is to compare the feature of nature in the selected works of Anders Fager, Andreas Marklund and Frida Arwen Rosesund and in what ways these respective depictions rely on a tradition where nature is gendered female. The theoretical starting-point for this comparative study is ecocriticism and its subcategory ecofeminism, which are modes of literary criticism where the role of nature in general, and its female connotations in particular, are appreciated as significant literary features. For executing an analysis that goes beyond what is explicit, the exploration of these three writers? texts also adopts a psychoanalytical perspective.

The purpose of the present study is to investigate mindfulness as a New Age phenomenon in the modern western society. Since a religious phenomenon does not exist in a vacuum, but is dependent on its historical and cultural context, my aim is to give a broad depiction of mindfulness and New Age in its wider context, the historical background and the societal implications of common values, themes and concepts that are frequent in the literature, how mindfulness is presented by the authors of popular literature and also how it is presented in science. In order to bring forward a deeper understanding of New Age and mindfulness? role in the modern western society, my intention is to see how the authors of mindfulness claim validity of their doctrines in the discourse. Mindfulness attracts a wide range of perpetrators and is used in many areas in the society today.

Syftet med undersökningen är att få ökad kunskap om hur tre grundskolelärare använder olika medier i matematikundervisningen mot bakgrund av den logocentriska traditionen i skolan. Jag kommer att utgå från följande frågeställningar i min studie: ? På vilka olika sätt gestaltas den logocentriska traditionen i matematikundervisningen i en årskurs 1, 2 och 4? ? Vilka anledningar anger lärare till att de centrala medierna i undervisningen i skolan är de logocentriska uttrycksformerna och inte de kinestetiska, visuella och auditiva uttrycksformerna? ? Hur uppfattar lärare att de visuella, auditiva och kinestetiska uttrycksformerna utvecklas i en logocentrisk skoltradition? Teorin i mitt examensarbete definierar begreppen medier och logocentrisk tradition i matematikundervisningen. Teorin innehåller tidigare forskning om hur den logocentriska traditionen gestaltas i skolan, samt skolans behov av förändring för att motsvara samhällets utveckling. Jag har använt mig av en etnografisk ansats och mina insamlingsmetoder är intervju och observation. AbstractMany opinions are divided on what religious freedom should protect and the area is unexploredin preschool. Is it the parents, the child or preschool teacher right? The aim of the studywas to investigate Maria klasson Sundin´s concept and theoretical models of religious freedomfor children through three Swedish preschool settings and also how three teachers interpretsand expresses children's freedom of religion. Through a qualitative interview study theaim was to investigate how the concepts of religion, autonomy and freedom is interpreted andexpressed by the teachers so a picture through this three concepts can categorise the teachersin a model; freedom of thought, tradition and life interpretation model so a broader picturecan be made to understand how the children's freedom of religion is expressed in the preschoolsetting and how the teachers work. The Result showed through the analysis that themodels fail to categorise the teachers in any theoretical model but on the other hand the understandingof preschool teacher?s expression and interpretation of the concept of religion,autonomy and freedom showed both diversity and lack of knowledge on the subject mattersreligious freedom which fall within the child rights issues.
