This essay seeks to articulate how one should understand Adorno´s perspective on Kant. The essay produces an interpretation of this very complicated relationship using the (Nietzschean) concepts "affinity" and "ressentiment" : an elucidation that will hopefully make clear that the works of Adorno in many ways constitute a pursuance of Kant´s philosophical insights to their logical ends, especially with the regard to the questions about the purpose of philosophy and its various demands on knowledge, personality, society, ways of ressistence etc..

Studiens syfte är att söka samband mellan studenters identitet och utbildningsområde, vidare att studera vilka faktorer som inverkar såsom personliga egenskaper, socioekonomisk bakgrund, värderingar, härkomst och genus. För att täcka detta syfte har studien följande forskningsfrågeställning: Hur ser ett eventuellt samband ut mellan studenters identitet och utbildning?Undersökningen utgår från en kvantitativ metod där en webbenkät e-postats till studenter på fyra olika utbildningar på Göteborgs Universitet. Resultaten tolkas först på ett kvantitativt synsätt, där resultatet visualiseras i diagram och tabeller. Vad dessa diagram och tabeller visar tolkas och analyseras sedan utifrån en mer kvalitativ analysmetod där författarna utgår från ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv, med fokus på Henri Tajfels teori om social identitet.Resultatet i undersökningen visar på ett samband mellan utbildning och identitet.

Detta examensarbete pågick under fem veckor på SSAB i Luleå och behandlar två uppgifter. Den första uppgiften gick ut på att forska om tid för att på bästa sätt kunna tidsätta nätverksutrustning samt övervakningsplattformar på SSAB. Den andra uppgiften gick ut på att undersöka krav samt upplägg för övervakningsplattformen SCOM. För att kunna synkronisera tid används i huvudsak tre protokoll: NTP, SNTP samt PTP. De vanligaste teknikerna för att synkronisera tid är via internet, GPS, radiokommunikation samt manuell tidsättning.

This thesis deals with the concepts of individual and individuation as defined by Leibniz and Spinoza. I go through the use and definition of the concept of individual in four stages.First I discuss the individual as conceived by Spinoza as a relation formed by a composition of parts and the individual as conceived by Leibniz as a complete notion consisting of all the events in the life of a subject.Next is the roll of perception in Leibniz discussed, likewise individuation through different perception with varying distinctness, and the affinity of perception with affection.The discussions concerning the individual concludes in a section about the essence of the individual as being the desire of the individual. In todays society IT in general and the Internet in particular are given elements in people´s everyday lives, and smartphones has come to be a big part of those elements. This study focuses on how the use of Smartphones in particular influences the individuals in their working environment, and how this use influence the efficiency and the well-being of said individuals.  To answer our research question regarding how said use comes to effect the efficiency and the well-being for proffesionals in their working environment we have used data from qualitative interviews who is enriched by a short initial diary study. This data has then been analyzed using the Affinity diagrams Technique, leading to four central themes emerging from the data. The results show that smartphone use at work comes with both positive and negative effects; efficiency increased through the use of smartphones due to the great versatility that comes with the technology, while in terms of well-being issues of stress emerged.

AbstractIn 2013, the diagnosis of Asperger?s syndrome will be eliminated as a stand-alone diagnosis, to be subsumed into the existing diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this paper, a study with the objective of emphasizing current opinions regarding the change in diagnosis is performed. Another objective is to examine the connection between identity and diagnosis. The study therefore targets people with a diagnosis, in this case Asperger?s syndrome.The empirical material of the study has been collected through a quantitative web-based survey.

Clustered Columnstore Indexes (CCI) and In-Memory Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) are two new techniques that were introduced with Microsoft?s new database management system SQL Server 2014.The thesis analyzes these two techniques, describes the theory behind them and also the background information that needs to be known to understand more of the new techniques. Performance tests of the new techniques have been performed to see how much faster response time we can get and less storage we need to use where the result is represented by performance diagrams and a compression diagram. This thesis is a cooperative work with a company called Trimma and the result is used as support to decide if these new techniques could be of advantage for the company.The test consists of five test queries with different purposes. The result is illustrated by diagrams that show the result and another diagram that shows how much the data gets compressed with the different techniques.

In the past decade there has been a considerable growth of contingent employment arrangements. In Sweden, the most common among these are the temporary-help service firms. The aim of this study is to investigate how the employees of temporary-help service firms experience their situation as employed by one company and working at another. We have used a qualitative approach to reach an increased understanding for the daily situation of the contingent worker. The essay is based on participant observations and semi-structured interviews with six contingent workers.

Avfall Sverige äger två certifieringssystem: SPCR 120 Biogödsel och SPCR 152 Kompost. Dessa två certifieringssystem används för att certifiera biogasanläggningar och kompostanläggningar. Certifieringen säkerställer att biogödseln respektive komposten har en hög kvalité och kan användas inom till exempel jordbruk. Certifieringssystemen har varit i bruk sedan 1999 och har än så länge resulterat i åtta certifierade biogasanläggningar och tre certifierade kompostanläggningar. Det är SP Sveriges Tekniska Forskningsinstitut som genomför besiktningarna ute hos de olika anläggningarna samt ansvarar för utfärdandet av certifikaten.Denna rapport föregicks av en inläsning på certifieringsreglerna SPCR 120 Biogödsel och SPCR 152 Kompost, samt genomgång av samtliga besiktningsrapporter från 2005 och framåt.

This paper examines, through questionnaire, how young students in upper secondary school in Malmo experience social integration. It also contain what they think should be done in order to improve the integration between youth that are ethnic Swedish and youth that have a foreign background. To understand the subject we started with a review over Swedish integration politic and its influence over Malmo and social integration in the country. We have used such theoretical starting points as identity and ethnicity in relations to the social surroundings, social affinity theory and flexible mindedness, making of groups among youth and factors to promote social integration. Our conclusion is that the experience of social integration between the two groups depends on how you experience yourself.

Idag ses ett ökat intresse för användandet av rörelseanalys inom olika sammanhang t.ex. övervakning, dataspel och diagnostisk undersökning av personers rörelsemönster med mera. Optisk rörelseanalys är den teknik som finns mest idag, men de systemen är dyra och saknar lämplig mjukvara för klinisk användning.En forskargrupp vid centrum för medicinsk teknik och strålningsfysik (CMTS) forskning och utvecklings avdelning (MT-FoU) vid Norrlands universitetssjukhus har sedan 2007 jobbat med en produktidé som bygger på att skapa ett nytt mobilt system för rörelseanalys som kan användas i medicinska undersökningar. Ett Arduino pro mini kort samt ett 9-axligt prototypkort som består av MPU-6000 och en magnetometer HMC5883L är anskaffat för att tillverka ett system i detta syfte.Syftet med projektet har varit att skapa ett verktyg som kan samla in rörelsemönster för att sedan presentera resultatet i ett diagram. Systemet skulle kunna samla in data från en sensor som inkluderar en 3D-accelerometer ett 3D-gyroskop och en 3D magnetometer för att därefter skicka det vidare till en dator där mätdata presenteras visuellt och sparas undan i en textfil.En viktig detalj att ta hänsyn till vid konstruktionen av det nya systemet var att konstruktionen gjordes med hjälp av billiga standardkomponenter och kretskort.

Problem: The great interest towards the company?s values has contributed to it becoming more common for individuals to seek out organizations that have a strong corporate culture. Where you work and whom you work for has thus become the dominant factors instead of what you are working with.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how the corporate culture, the rational and emotional benefits are experienced by the employees of the company. The aim is also to examine whether the corporate culture can become a management control measure by good communication between employees within the organization.Methodology: The essay is based on a qualitative research method and empirical data were collected through interviews from the company MTR Stockholm.Theoretical Frame of reference, Edgar Schein, Three Levels of Culture, Seven dimensions.Results: The study has shown that there are different cultures within the company.
