Denna studie har undersökt huruvida priming för den kvinnliga könsstereotypen i tv-reklam ökar graden av konformitet hos kvinnor. Tidigare forskning har visat att sådan priming kan leda till försämrade prestationer och sänkta ambitionsnivåer hos kvinnor. Deltagarna i studien utgjordes av 76 kvinnliga universitetsstudenter. Primingmanipulationen bestod av tolv reklamfilmer riktade till kvinnor. Graden av konformitet mättes i form av deltagarnas skattning av antal ljud på ett ljudurskiljningstest som gjordes tillsammans med fyra konfederater.

The aim of this study is to investigate how different organizations and authorities work and collaborate to make children of mentally ill parents more visible. The question formulations, which are used in our research, are:- How do different organizations and authorities work to make children of mentally ill parents more visible and how can this work be improved?- How do laws and guidelines affect the organizations and authorities work to make children of mentally ill parents more visible? - Is there any collaboration between the different organizations and authorities concerning work with children of mentally ill parents, and how does that work appear? A qualitative method strategy was chosen to gather an in-depth understanding of the informant?s experiences and to collect descriptive information. Six organizations and authorities were selected from the comprehension that they could be important in giving support and because it is possible for them to pay attention to these children. Interviews were performed by using a half- structured interview guide.

How a speaker can use their posture, gesture, facial expression and voice to create a strong ethos, pistis and sense of trustworthiness is, in this paper, associated with charisma (the power of leadership or authority).Verbal and nonverbal expressions from three particular speeches by Martin Luther King, John F Kennedy and Bill Clinton have been analyzed in depth. The results show that patos as well as strong nonverbal expression are factors in inspiring devotion or creating enthusiasm. Personal magnetism and radiance is also found to develop through figures of speech and rhetorical devices, including metaphors. Results show that facial expressions, pitch and other prosodic information are not always consciously taken in. Nevertheless, it is questioned whether such information can affect the ethos and pistis developed.

Digitalisering av en analog audiosignal sker med codec-kretsen WM8731 från Wolfson. För att möjliggöra implementering av funktioner för digital signalbehandling av audiosignalen ingår en FPGA-krets från Altera i systemet. This study regards the Care of Young Persons Act, LVU, and the 2 § that focus on parent inability to care for their children. The assessment of parent ability to care for their children is performed by social workers in different municipalities. The law leaves room for interpretation concerning how to assess parent ability and therefore we found it interesting to study how social workers interpret 2 § LVU. The study?s aim was also to seek an understanding of how different categories, like gender, race, class and physical and psychical ability of the parents affect the assessment of their parenting ability, with a intersectional perspective.

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to do a comparativecase study between a public library in Sweden and one in England. Our aim is to examine what factors affect alibrarian in charge of purchasing fiction for adults and to what degree. We have used two methods of study, specifically semi-constructed interviews with two librarians and text analysis of policies in place at each library respectively. Denna uppsats är en hermeneutiskt inspirerad studie som undersöker hur dokumentärfilmskapare ljudlägger sina filmer och vilka intentioner som ligger bakom deras ljudläggningar.Genom kvalitativa intervjuer med tre dokumentärfilmskapare som är väletablerade i den svenska filmbranschen ska läsaren få inblick och ökad förståelse för ljudläggningsarbete i dokumentära filmer. Det empiriska materialet som samlas in genom intervjuerna analyseras med hjälp av två filmljudanlysmodeller som är tagna ur långfilmssammanhang. Dessa modeller möjliggör en tolkning och värdering av intervjusvaren ur ett vetenskapligt perspektiv. Resultat av studien visar likheter och variationer i de intervjuade respondenternas tanke- och arbetssätt. Det är möjligt att applicerar nästan all empiriskt material på teorierna som syftar på ljudläggningar för spelfilms- och biografproduktioner trots att respondenterna inte alls är medvetna om det.

The aim of this thesis is to examine possibilities concerning subject access to fiction film, i.e. appropriate ways to describe fiction film for subject retrieval. Problems regarding subject indexing in general, and subject indexing of fiction film in particular, are identified, as well as the uniqueness of fiction film and film genres. Four types of subject aspects are discussed: form and genre, fictitious characters, setting, and general topics. Several guidelines, form- and genre lists, and subject headings lists are examined and treated as potential indexing tools.
