AbstractThis report is made in cooperation with the municipality of Vasteras and technical committeestaff. The report addresses several topics that affect fuel stations in Vasteras. The reportcontains two parts, first is a inventory that review all stations in the area to be addressed. Theinventory is made with consideration to various things that geographic situation, whatcompanies are represented and what level of service stations have. And the second part of thereport, is done with the analysis of how it looks in daily situations review.

Risktaganden görs på daglig basis och vår sinnestämning ligger till grunden för många av de risktaganden vi gör och styr hur vi upplever det ställningstaganden vi ställs inför. Den här studien ämnade att undersöka huruvida det gick att påverka en individs riskbedömning med hjälp av teorin om affect heuristic samt hur mental visualisering kunde påverka en individs affekt i olika riktningar.Försöksdeltagarna bestod av 40 studenter vid Umeå universitet i åldrarna 19-35. De fick i en enkätundersökning ta del av och skatta risken för olika typer av scenarion. Resultatet från studien visade på en signifikant skillnad i förmån för mental visualisering i kontrast till resonerande av de presenterade riskscenarion, vilket stödde hypotesen om att mental visualisering kan påverka individers affekt och beslutsfattande. Studien ämnade att belysa vikten av affekt och dess inverkanöver vårt beslutsfattande och hur det går att påverka en individs affekt i olika riktningar genom att låta personen mentalt visualisera sig ett stimuli..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera hur texten i Gutasagan förhåller sig till den på runstenen vid Röks kyrka, särskilt i fråga om syntax och ljud- och i viss mån formsystem. Tanken är att försöka utröna om, och i så fall i vilken mån, Gutasagan i grunden speglar samma språk som det som fanns i Östergötland på 800-talet samt huruvida dessa två texter i sin tur kan tänkas uppvisa avvikelser från språket i andra delar av landet. When discussing local development attention is often given to the problems involved. Factors like decreasing population and inadequate infrastructure are two examples. Local politics has, however, lately been argued to have possibilities to affect its own development and its chances to achieve growth. Some of the most important factors from this debate are to make a community attractive for people and companies, committed leadership, the local business world with entrepreneurialism and a good business climate. These factors serve as a starting point for this discussion where focus is on the possibilities to achieve growth on the local level and the politics that is used for this purpose.To illustrate the chances to affect local growth I apply the theoretical perspective of regime theory and thereby examine the governing coalitions "power to" govern and not "power over" as the earlier theoretical perspectives in the area.

Vi började vårt projekt med grunderna till verktyg för att utveckla spel i 2d. Dessa ämnade vi färdigställa under projektet och med dem utveckla en speldemo. Eftersom vi hade gemensamma visioner om spelutveckling så bestämde vi oss för att samarbeta, och fokusera på våra respektive områden. Med att utveckla egna verktyg ville vi få en större förståelse för de grundläggande mekanismerna av en spelmotor och möjligheten att påverka dessa efter våra specifika behov. The purpose of this master thesis is to present a model that illuminates the important factors when deriving technical information from market data within a company. For companies to be able to become and stay competitive in the market, product quality is an important factor. Whilst good product quality leads to customer satisfaction and loyalty, lack of quality brings costs in service and replacements. To improve product quality, the developers need information and knowledge about what quality issues affect existing products. Most companies gather data from market about known issues, but in order eliminate known quality issues in new products; this data has to be transformed into information and knowledge.

Fantasy literature has a rather strong position in countries with an English-speaking population but not in Sweden. The supply of fantasy in Sweden is much smaller than that in for example United Kingdom. Does this affect the Swedish readers of this genre? If it does, how does it affect them? The aim of this thesis is to find out how a few fantasy-reading students at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science get hold of the fiction they want to read and who and/or what influence their decision of which book to read. In order to avoid confusion we are also going to try to find out how they define fantasy since it varies from person to person what is included in the genre.

The aim of this study is to through six interviews, with six experienced, social workers?, in three cities, understand how the child?s position in the Swedish child protective services? enquiries has change, and the factors behind it. Små barns sätt att kommunicera i leken.Small children?s ways off communication when they play.Syftet med denna undersökning är att beskriva hur små barn kommunicerar i leken. Jag har undersökt vilka olika uttryckssätt barnen använder sig av när de kommunicerar i olika leksituationer. Undersökningen är gjord på en småbarnsavdelning, och metoden jag har använt mig av är videoobservationer. Resultatet visar att de små barnen oftast använder sig av kroppsspråk, blickar, mimik, handgripligheter, imitation och olika ljud för att göra sig förstådda när de kommunicerar.

In all times school has defined and categorized pupils from a hypothetical normality. The National Agency for Education is today critical to how the municipalities provide for the necessity of special support for pupils with difficulties in school.Pupil`s assistants has been a growing profession in school during the last decade and their importance for the pupils is relatively unexplored. The aim of this study is to find out how the pupils think about having pupil`s assistant during the obligatory school on the basis of the ideas of power, knowledge, involvment and understanding. The study is based on qualitative interviews, consisting of half-structured questions, with eight pupils that have or have had pupil`s assistant during their time in senior compulsory school. The result notifies that the pupils feel powerless in school, they have no opportunity to affect and they do not think they are someone that could make any change.

The retailing landscape has become even more competitive with an increasing number of store formats. One result of this can be seen within different retail-chains as they launch different formats that operate under the same name. Thus, consumers now have many alternatives and substitutes when it comes to choosing which format to shop from. This phenomenon has led consumes to shop across stores for the same brand. The objective of this study is to explain how consumers respond to various offers in different store formats and to determine whether the results differ if we compare a familiar brand with an unfamiliar brand.

This is an art-remix project that focuses on a dream about art and music remixed and made within a context of nonviolence. The goal is to create temporary (and in the long term hopefully stabile) spaces of peace. It will be done within places where change needs to come, where it needs to be heard/seen/experienced. Weapon exports from Sweden are increasing even though there is research showing that nonviolent resistance in conflict is more effective. In this essay I discuss nonviolence and how I can implement that in my work to find a meaningful work for both me and my neighbours.

Denna rapport presenterar resultatet av ett examensarbete vid Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan, skolan för industriell teknik och management. Uppsatsen beskriver en produktframtagningsprocess som utförts från idé till prototyp, samt en utvärdering där det framtagna konceptet evaluerats inför en eventuell vidareutveckling. Arbetet har utförts i samarbete med uppdragsgivaren Danderyds Sjukhus Innovation, en separat enhet på sjukhuset som främst arbetar med att utveckla personalens produktidéer.Idén kom från en läkare på neonatalavdelningen. Vid problemfödslar, där barnet be-höver hjälp att komma igång med andningen, händer det att de apparater som återger barnets hjärtslag inte fungerar optimalt. Enligt läkaren behövs ett enkelt verktyg som avläser barnets puls och signalerar denna genom ljud- och ljussignaler.

Timing innebär att bedöma tid och reglera sitt beteende tidsmässigt. Precision i timing påverkas bland annat av sensorisk feedback, men det är inte känt om starkare feedback ökar precisionen. Femton män och fem kvinnor genomförde en synkroniserings- och produktions-uppgift där feedbackljuden under produktionen förekom i fem ljudstyrkenivåer (65-105 dB i 10 dB steg) och två frekvenser (120 & 4200 Hz). Jag fann en signifikant interaktionseffekt mellan ljudnivå och frekvens. Även signifikanta skillnader i hur man skattade ljuden och skillnader i hur män och kvinnor skattade påträffades.

AbstractThis report was undertaken at the request of the Management and maintenancedepartment of Swedish National Road Authority (Vägverket Region Sydöst) inJönköping.In 1992, the management and maintenance of Swedish roads were laid out onexternal contractors. When putting out a tender for the work, the foundation isfrom a national set of rules which are in constant change. This report is limited towinter road upkeep.The trend in the invitation for tenders is that it is moving from the moreconventional executional demands towards the less controlling demands. Thedownside of functional, less controlling demands is that it is difficult to articulatehow to measure them. The order authority therefore has to find ways to makesure to get what has been paid for.In connection to the invitation for tender of winter road upkeep for 2005, the newset of rules, ATB Vinter 2003 was deployed.The main purpose of this thesis is to see which the big changes in the set of rulesare and how these changes affect the organisation and activities of the contractor.It is also studied how the changes in execution is perceived by road users and howit affects the possibilities of the contractor to come as a newcomer to a new areaof administration.Interviews and examination of sets of rules has led to a list of a number ofchanges that the contractors feel affect their work in any sense.Views from road users that have come in to the order authority have beenscrutinized to see how they have experienced the change.
