A recent trend in the technological evolution has been to increase the mobility of the end-user. A contributing factor is the fast rate of improvement in the smartphone area. This, in turn, has changed the expectations end-users have on the availability of services, which has allowed mobile applications, apps, to find their place in everyday life.This study has been conducted at Scania?s Fleet Management department that offers a web-based service where haulage contractors can administer, monitor and follow up on their vehicle fleets. The purpose of this study was to investigate if Scania?s existing web service should be extended into the mobile area, and if so, what organizational and technical challenges app development imposes.

Behovet av denna typ av åtgärder är en konsekvens av människans utnyttjande av naturen, där denna formats för att anpassa mänskliga behov med begränsad hänsyn för hur naturen påverkas av detta. Metoder för hållbar utveckling efterfrågas och med detta i åtanke tillägnas fokus i denna litteraturstudie kantzonernas potential att bidra med värden för både miljö och människa.Studien riktar sig mot möjligheten att skapa naturliga habitat där de mänskliga insatserna bidrar med positiva värden för naturen, samtidigt som hon kan ta del av de värden som produceras i kantzonen. Resultatet visar på att det finns en god möjlighet att producera biomassa samtidigt som produktionen i sig gynnar inbindningen av kol, minskar näringsläckage och ökar den biologiska mångfalden. Potentialen för kolinbindning beräknas vara 31% högre i gräsmarker jämfört med åkermark vilket genererar en möjlig kolinlagring på 95 ton/hektar.

This master thesis investigates attitudes toward electronic publishing of fiction among the key participants authors and publishers in Sweden with the overall purpose of analysing the nature of these attitudes and what sort of tensions that exist between the two groups. The major areas of concern were formulated as: what sort of attitudes do authors and publishers display toward electronic publishing of fiction?, how do these attitudes affect the way the two groups relate to electronic publishing and to each other? and how do they perceive the future of this practice?. Everett Rogers diffusion of innovations theory was applied to characterise electronic publishing as an innovation cluster, and to investigate innovation attributes in form of relative advantages and disadvantages, compatibility, complexity, trialability and observability. Data was gathered using quantitative questionnaires, but respondents were also given the opportunity to elaborate freely on some of the questions.

Regulations on the exhaust emissions of HD-diesel engines are becoming more and more stringent, and therefore, emission after-treatment systems are commonly used. These systems rely on catalytic conversion of NOx,CO , and HC emissions, and are thus dependant on temperature. At low load of the engine, exhaust temperatures are not sufficient for the after-treatment components. Therefore, means to increase the exhaust temperature while maintaining low emissions and fuel consumption are needed.The focus of this project has been to develop strategies for the lift profiles of exhaust and intake valves in the engine, with the goal to raise exhaust temperature in combination with low emissions and fuel consumption. The strategies have been tested in a single-cylinder research engine equipped with a hydraulic variable valve actuation system.

The world?s growing need for energy together with a desire to ward off the worst consequences of global climate change has resulted in a never seen desire to invest resources in renewable energy sources. Biogas production through anaerobic digestion is one of those growing energy sources. In Sweden there are over two hundred plants that uses this biological process to break down organic substances while producing carbon dioxide and the energy-rich gas methane.This master?s thesis has focused on development of the mixture of different organic substances that is treated at a specific plant, namely Mosserud biogas plant.

WesDyne TRC är ett helägt dotterbolag till kärnkraftsteknologiföretaget Westinghouse Nuclear och arbetar främst med oförstörade provning och visuella inspektioner av reaktortankar. Inom kärnkraftsindustrin finns ett starkt intresse och behov av att kunna utföra noggranna geometriska uppmätningar inuti en reaktortank. I detta arbete utfördes först en förstudie där lämpliga tekniker undersöktes för att finna den mest lämpade för ändamålet. Den teknik som ansågs ha störst potential var aktiv triangulering med laser. Efter vidare fördjupning inom området utvecklades och konstruerades en prototyp med tillhörande programmering, som därefter testades och verifierades.

In Sweden, the demand for bio energy has increased in recent years due to the current energy and climate debate. In 2008, the energy supply of Sweden was 612 TWh, biofuels accounted for 123 TWh of these. Stumps have been highlighted as a potential fuel in recent years and the Swedish Forest Agency expects a technically and biologically feasible potential of 20.7 TWh annually between 2010 and 2019. The idea of utilize stumps is not new. During the 19th century stumps were used for tar production and during the 70?s and 80?s attempts were made to use stumps in the pulp industry.

This research overview examines what research says about upper secondary school students' difficulties with complex numbers. The three main areas covered are general difficulties with complex numbers, how to teach the subject, and whether the history of complex numbers can be beneficial in this teaching. A historical deep dive into the history of complex numbers is also included to further investigate this idea. The results show that upper secondary school students struggle with complex numbers in various ways. The name of the subject creates a negative connotation, as it is initially perceived by students as fictional and complicated. Furthermore, a consequence of the inherently abstract nature of complex numbers is that gaining a comprehensive understanding of them is challenging.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka pedagogers uppfattningar om hur de använder vardagliga och icke-planerade samtal för att främja barns språkutveckling, samt vilken potential detta arbete kan ha.Undersökningen utgick ifrån en kvalitativ forskningsmetod i form av intervjuer som genomfördes med sex aktiva förskolepedagoger. De genomförda intervjuerna transkriberades och bearbetades för att kunna sammanställas till ett tydligt resultat.Resultatet av studien har bland annat visat att pedagogerna är väl medvetna om att barn utvecklar sitt språk i samspel och har därför tänkt till angående hur de vill stötta dem i denna utveckling och hur de kan vara en språklig förebild. Pedagogerna skiljer sig i sina beskrivningar av om och hur de använder sig av de vardagliga och icke-planerade samtalen som en språkutvecklande metod i förskolan.En viktig slutsats som dragits av studien är att vissa av pedagogerna är väl medvetna om vad de önskar att uppnå med de vardagliga och icke-planerade samtalen och har tillsammans med sitt arbetslag lyft detta som en medveten metod för språkutveckling, medan andra inte alls lyft det i arbetslaget.Genom denna studie hoppas jag kunna inspirera förskolepedagoger och andra som jobbar med eller på annat sätt samtalar med barn att fånga upp och ta tillvara på de vardagliga och icke-planerade samtalen. This thesis project has focused on studying ÅF?s business concept Energy Collaboration, which is their way of selling energy efficiency services. Thereforeongoing projects have been analyzed. The purpose was to determine achieved energy efficiency, costs and profitability for the studied projects. It was concluded that the Energy Collaboration is a good way of selling energy efficiency services, since the customer takes no risk and energy savings of about 15-25 % can be achieved with simple measures.

Problem formulation: The awareness and importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is growing within both corporations and society at large. The corporate progress in sustainable development can be both profitable and essential for the potential to compete globally. The value of sustainability reporting may differ between industries and companies of different sizes. The demands for sustainability reports are expected to increase. By 2010, no previous survey on sustainability reporting practices had been conducted within Swedish corporations. Purpose: The aim of the current study was to examine sustainability reports within Swedish corporations during 2010 and to compare the findings with preceding surveys to determine differences over time and between corporations.

Denna uppsats utgår ifrån författarens egna självupplevda erfarenheter från en turné med en barnteaterföreställning hösten 2012 och beskriver händelser och situationer som uppkom under turnéns gång. Uppsatsen problematiserar mötet mellan skola och teater och synliggör även de olika villkor, skola och teater har att förhålla sig till. Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva vad som sker i mötet mellan lärare, elever och teater, att förstå lärares relation till teaterformen samt den konstnärliga ledarens uppfattningar kring samarbetet med skolan.Undersökningsfrågorna lyder:Hur kan man förstå skolans respektive teaterns villkor?Vilka aspekter anser lärare och konstnärlig ledare är viktiga med hänsyn till samarbetet mellan teater och skola?Hur uppfattar lärare och konstnärlig ledare att mötet mellan teater och skola kan underlättas?Hur kan en dramapedagog bidra till samarbetet eller underlätta mötet mellan teater och skola?Studien är en fallstudie som knyter an till turnén.
