The purpose of this essay is using theories about labeling and social bonds to study whether a measure of rehabilitation for the psychically disabled contributes to a return to a normal status as not-labeled. Partly we examine whether the activities organized by the regulation-ruled authorities during the work of rehabilitation lead to shame or pride, and partly how these activities are organized regarding the processes that lead to the emotions pride or shame among the participants. Method: qualitative semi-structured face-to-face interviews with professional rehabilitation-actors at the Public Employment Office (PEO), the Social Insurance Office (SIO), the Social Service (SOS), the Psychiatry and the Division of Labour Market (AME).Conclusions: the Psychiatry clients are treated with respect, may participate, and communication is characterized by attunement, therefore strong social bonds can be built. On the contrary, among the other examined activities, we found many elements that arouse shame. Since these are more ruled by regulations, the result is engulfment and demands on conformity, because the compromise-possibilities are almost non-existent.

My master?s thesis is a study of acquisition of photographies during 1958-2008. The questions I proceed from is what patterns lies behind the Royal library's acquisition of photography and how the process of acquisition looks like. The theoretical base which I lean on consists partly of a problematization of the process of cultural heritage and partly of organizational theory. The problematization of the process of cultural heritage is my foundation of this essay.

Dagens arbetsliv och samhälle står under ständig förändring. Att arbeta och samtidigt bidra till vår välfärd är för de flesta en naturlig del av vardagen. Men för personer med funktionsnedsättning är förutsättningarna inte nödvändigtvis detsamma. Strax över en kvarts miljon människor med funktionshinder står idag utan sysselsättning och det i en tid då det politiska budskapet tydligt talar för att all potentiell arbetskraft behövs för att upprätthålla nivån på vår välfärd. Samtidigt visar oroväckande statistik att personer med funktionsnedsättning utsätts för diskriminering när de söker arbete.Arbetet belyser dels vilka skyldigheter arbetsgivare har vid en rekryteringsprocess för att inte en arbetssökande med funktionsnedsättning ska utsättas för diskriminering och dels vilka incitament som finns att tillgå för att underlätta för personer med funktionshinder att beredas plats i arbete.

There is an increase of financial integration, which can be seen in recent mergers of banks, financial institutions etc. in the European Union especially in the Nordic countries. However there are some weaknesses in providing consumers cross border services in the sector of banking, such as cross border bank account transfer of payments. The existing transaction costs do not encourage cross border services. Nevertheless a customer of a global or European bank can anticipate to be treated the same way in all of its branch offices inside the EU countries.

Syfte: Med utgångspunkt i frågan om K-projektet innebär en förenkling för företag i Sverige är studiens syfte att utvärdera effekter på svenska företag under K-projektets implementering.Metod: Studien använder en induktiv ansats där en egen forskningsdesign med en kombination av kvalitativ och kvantitativ metod används för att med revisionsarvodets utveckling och tidigare studier studera effekter på svenska företag under tiden K-projektet implementeras.Resultat: Resultatet av studien visar två effekter, aggregerat revisionsarvode och, från 16 tidigare studier, respondenters uppfattningar om K-projektet innebär en förenkling. Revisionsarvodet har ökat under perioden 2001-2010. Trots att effekter så som inflation och ökad kundstock har justerats bort, ser vi en markant kostnadsökning för revision för svenska företag samtidigt som de tidigare studiernas respondenter inte anser att K-projektet innebär en förenkling. I denna studie har 10 av 23 uppfattningar tolkats som förenklande, medan 13 uppfattningar har tolkats som komplicerade. Dessa tolkningar mäts i en analys som visar värdet 4,35 på en 10-gradig skala där 10 innebär att samtliga tolkningar tyder på att K-projektet innebär en förenkling.

Most of the sea areas within the European Union are overfished and the catches are estimated to be up to five times lager then the amount to achieve a sustainable fishery. In doing so, the management of EU's marine resources comes to be questioned. The purpose of this study was to analyze EU's administration of marine fisheries and to explore which steps that can be undertaken to counteract the negative trend. The questions of the study were: How does the EU administrate today?s marine fishery recourses? And: How can the problem whit overfishing be discouraged? To answer these questions a comparative analyses were used to compare and evaluate administrative systems.

Ethnic discrimination is still a problem in the Swedish employment market. The Ombudsman against Ethnic Discrimination received 154 complaints relating to discrimination due to ethnicity in the working life in 2012. In addition, reported unemployment rates in Sweden differ markedly between native-born and foreign-born. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how protection against ethnic discrimination in recruitment looks like in Sweden and describe different methods an employer may use to prevent that ethnic discrimination occurs in recruitment situations. The first and second issue of the essay concern what protection there is in Sweden against ethnic discrimination in recruitment situations, based on international and national law. The traditional legal dogmatic method, which describes the valid law, is used in these sections.

Background: Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, MiFID, was implemented in Swedish law in 2007 and aimed to increase competition of the securities market in order to achieve efficiency and lower transaction costs and to enhance investor protection. Another aim was to increase confidence in the market. After the implementation of MiFID some doubts had been highlighted regarding its intentional effects. This evoked the authors? interest to examine the directive?s effects and its impact on investors? trust.Aim: To examine how various participants in the Swedish securities market experienced changes since the implementation of MiFID in 2007, and its impact on the securities market and minor investors' trust.Method: The study applied a qualitative method with a deductive approach to describe, interpret and understand the problem area.

Swedens membership in the European Union have resulted in an international characterized labour market. The construction sector is the area who employs most posted workers among the 7400 employees who monthly enters the market. It?s also the sector where a big part of the work-related deaths occurs. The purpose of this study is therefore to contribute to a greater understanding of the regulation regarding posted workers, their work environment and the consequences of it.

I was assigned to the thesis as part of a project GMA AB (Ground Machinery Applications AB) is running. The project aims to develop a new method for injection of drilled holes in rock walls. Currently, the injections usually involve cement but the basic idea of the project is to replace cement with a supplement called Silica sol.Silica sol is known as a gelling liquid. The gel time is controlled by a mixing of saline. Depending on the amount saline that gets mixed in, the gel time varies.

The power system modelled in this thesis work has been developed for simulationwhen e.g. the production in some part of the power system is changed. The powersystem has been modelled according to the swing mass of the system, the frequencydependency of the load and the turbine governor. The model determines the systemfrequency, the period of regulation and the power exchange between the differentsubsystems in the Nordic synchronized system.In this model the system frequency is assumed to be the same in all different parts ofthe power system and the voltage conditions in the power system are neglected. Forthat reason power swings does not occur between different subsystems in the powersystem, which usually occur as a result of the swinging connection between thetransmissions line.

Den här uppsatsen syftar till att utreda vilket lands lag som blir tillämplig vid en internationell tvist gällande utomobligatoriska förpliktelser vid immaterialrättsintrång, särskilt vid upphovsrättsintrång. Tyngdpunkten ligger i de problem som uppstår då någon gör sig skyldig till ett upphovsrättsintrång med relation till flera länder.Utgångspunkten är Rom II-förordningen och dess åttonde artikel. I artikeln stadgas det att tillämplig lag för en utomobligatorisk förpliktelse som har sin grund i ett immaterialrättsintrång skall vara lagen i det land där skydd görs gällande.Vad innebär då uttrycket ?där skydd görs gällande?? När det gäller registrerade rättigheter, såsom patent och varumärken, innebär artikeln att tillämplig lag ska var lagen i det land där rättigheten är registrerad. Det går dock inte att tillämpa samma princip på oregistrerade rättigheter.

Runtom i världen finns det utarbetade metoder för att begränsa den ökande populationen av förvildade katter. Studier gjorda över så kallade TNR-projekt (Trap, Neuter, Return) har visat goda resultat på den långvariga effekten av minskad förökning, men också på en förbättrad välfärd för individerna. I USA finns det kliniker som arbetar mycket eller enbart med dessa patienter. Dessa blir finansierade genom statliga bidrag, privatpersoners donationer, samt fri-villig arbetskraft. Lämpliga anestesipreparat har utvärderats till just dessa patienter, och rikt-linjer för hantering av icke hanterbara individer finns dokumenterade i flera studier. I Sverige uppskattas antalet hemlösa katter till cirka 100 000, men problematiken kring dessa individer sköts i stort sett av privatpersoner och katthem.

The aim of this study was to explore and gain understanding of the situation between managers in different forms of human service organizations. I chose to use a qualitative method and conducted semi-structured interviews with five professional middle managers in the public sector. To accomplish my purpose, I worked on the basis of several questions. The questions dealt with the role of middle management and what it involves, how it is perceived and what the middle managers think of the specific requirements for them and their leadership in organizations that provide services relating to people.  As a result of the analysis I have used the theory of social roles that describes the meaning of the different roles and role conflicts that arise in connection with various and conflicting expectations. The review of the results shows that middle managers in human service organizations experience to have to deal with a complex leadership role.

Baselregelverket är en samling rekommendationer och riktlinjer som syftar till att skapa global finansiell stabilitet. Det gällande regelverket, Basel II, riktar sig till kreditinstitut och andra värdepappersbolag i de länder som har valt att införliva regelverket i nationell lag. Basel II införlivades i svensk rätt i början av 2007 och därmed har regelverket blivit bindande för svenska banker. Basel II stipulerar att banker ska använda internt utvecklade modeller för att utvärdera risk och kapitaltäckning samt fastställer att denna utvärdering ska användas för beslutsfattande i den dagliga verksamheten. Regelverkets krav har bland annat resulterat i ökad bolagsstyrning då utvecklandet av strategier och kontrollsystem för sådana typer av riskmodeller är något som sker på hög organisatorisk nivå, vid bankens huvudkontor. Problematiken i detta är att implementeringen av ett regelverk som influerar bankens organisationsstruktur blir en svårhanterlig fråga och får stor inverkan på arbetet för anställda med operativa befattningar.
