Idag finns ett stort antal e-tjänster som riktar sig till breda användargrupper. Att designa e-tjänsteranpassade för dessa grupper kan vara mycket komplicerat, men det finns metoder för attunderlätta detta. Donald Norman beskrev 1983 ett antal principer för design av vardagsföremål.Dessa principer har blivit allmänt vedertagna inom design och används flitigt inominteraktionsdesign. Syftet med uppsatsen är att testa om principerna kan möta de behov en bredgrupp av användare kan ha. Vi vill utifrån dessa principer utvärdera en befintlig e-tjänst ochutifrån denna utvärdering och analys skapa nya designförslag.

In music performers and music-making are oftenused different distortion effects to give the desiredcharacter on the individual sound sources andinstruments. These have different names (fuzz,distortion, overdrive) depending on the character. Tocarry out this work, an extensive literature study ofthe circuit diagrams of a large number of the classicdistortion circuits implemented. In this work, adistortion effect of the character fuzz was createdfrom several other existing effects. MeasurementsFFT, frequency response have been conducted tovalidate the desired results along the given problem.The finished effect was named Instant Carlos and aprototype was manufactured.

The subject of the essay is about a society called Klippan and the existing conflicts there between an active racist group and some youths with foreign heritage. The essay also concerns issues like racism, its effects and how it is expressed at different levels in a society. Futhermore we discuss how a community can prevent 'subtle' racism and open declared racism and how to work in a racist manner. We also talk about which role the immigrant youths play in the conflicts and how their behaviour can be understood. Another perspective that is discussed is which aspects can affect individuals to join an active racist group and which factors can make them leave such a group.

This thesis examines how techniques from place marketing, developed to market places, can be used in the process of designing a visual identity for an institution. The thesis is a case study of the development of a new visual identity for the public art institution Malmö konsthall. The essay presents Malmö Konsthall, defines the term visual identity and describes the main principles in place branding. I then define target audiences and key values, discuss the application of place marketing principle and go through the design process of the new visual identity. The process showed that theories about flagship buildings, signature design and signature districts have the biggest influence on the design.

Purpose: The purpose of the essay is; to explain and clarify how the company is acting to lead members in social media to achieve valuable external communication. The authors believe that it is important to act with credibility and quality in social media, to accomplish long lasting relationships. When employees communicate with consumers their conduct is relevant to the company's credibility.Methodology: An inductive approach has been used for the empirical data collection since the authors have been studying the reality without existing theories. A qualitative research method has been used for collecting the empirical material. Primary data was collected from telephone interviews with seven companies, active in social media.Conclusions: The study shows that the power of employees? can be used when designing strategies for social media.

In this study the opioid buprenorphine was given to 8 clinically healthy goats. The pharmacokinetics and behavioral effects were studied. Injections of buprenorphine, 0.02 mg/kg body weight was given both intramuscularly (i.m.) and intravenously (i.v.) with a cross over design. The results showed a short half-life of the drug in the plasma, 65.9 ± 17.4 min (mean ± SD), after i.v. injection.

This report was written as a result of a Bachelor Degree Project at the School of Technology and Society at University of Skövde, first semester 2007. The assigner was Tibrokök in Tibro, Sweden. The purpose with this essay is to describe how the principal, social worker and the teacher work to prevent bullying at school. The following questions have been discussed:Does the school have an action plan for bullying, and if so, what does it say? Who has the practical responsibility for making sure that the plan is followed, and how does that responsibility work? How is the responsibility divided between the different professions? Are the children in any way active in the planning of the work against bullying? What does the children think about who has the main responsibility for stopping bullying?The method I have used in the essay is individual interviews with principals, welfare officers and teachers from two schools.My results show that the schools have different ways of handling bullying, and different forms of cooperation within the staff. One school have active students in the work against bullying in the form of classmate support (kamratstödjare). The social worker is used in different ways in the work against bullying.

This thesis presents the design and implementation of an accounting and status notification system for the LPRng print spooler. A solution using SNMP to query for needed accounting and status data is presented, a design built upon this, and an implementation produced. As the system derives from the requirements specification, it will make no attempt to solve all printer accounting problems or to offer compatibility with all printers, database management systems or print spoolers. However, several solutions for printer accounting are discussed and the best solution derived from the requirements specification will be chosen..

I aktuellt arbete undersöks nya metoder och tekniker som kan användas för att skapa användarvänlig design i mobila enheter. Det har efterfrågas metoder och verktyg för att kunna skapa användarvänlig design i mobila gränssnitt, då det finns ett behov inom detta unga område som binder samman mobila gränssnitt, användarvänlighet och design. Därför har teorier studerats som behandlar områden inom interaktionsdesign och exempelvis innehållande användarvänlighet, skrivna av inflytelserika interaktionsdesigners som Alan Cooper . En sammanställning av designprinciper och användarvänlighetsprinciper baserades på en omfattande litteraturstudie, och har härefter lätt fram till en operationalisering som i undersökningen bildar, agerar och definieras som ett designverktyg. Detta verktyg har funktionaliteten att utgå från ett webbaserat gränssnitt och med hjälp av verktyget kan designern få hjälp att omforma detta till ett gränssnitt för mobila enheter.

My aim in this case study has been to create a method for creature design to test this method in a production and evaluate the results. To achieve this I studied and analyzed the methods of three concept artists and illustrators named James Gurney, Neville Page and Iain McCaig. From the analysis of these artist´s methods, combined with my own personal experience, a new method was formed. To test this method a creature was designed based on directives given by a game design group in the process of creating a table top role playing game in a fictitious world. These directives where given for the creature´s role and its living conditions.

Responsive Web Design (RWD) har på kort tid gått från ett koncept till en av de största trenderna inomwebbutveckling. Det är nästan underförstått idag att nya webbsidor ska vara i RWD. Trots det är inte RWD detsjälvklara alternativet som löser alla problem dagens utvecklare står inför när det gäller den stora floran av surfandeenheter.I examensarbetet djupdyker vi i tekniken, både praktiskt och teoretiskt, för att kunna dra slutsatser om RWDs styrkoroch svagheter. Detta åstadkoms genom att ta fram en applikationsplattform och en första applikation(semesterplanering) åt konsultföretaget Sigma AB, där ett av grundkraven var att det vi utvecklade skulle kunnaanvändas varsomhelst.Utifrån våra resultat lämnas rekommendationer på när RWD är alternativet att satsa på och när det behöverkompletteras av andra tekniker, så som Native- eller HTML5 applikationer..
