The main aim of this study is to determine whether the monastery in Ny Varberg has been used as a hospital during its active years. The second aim has been to investigate weather the buried individuals at the monastery at Ny Varberg exclusively are deceased monks. Only individuals from the monastery's active years has been included in this study. A total of 16 inhumated individuals was analysed. Both men, women and children was shown to be present, as well as wide spread of children and adults.

A recent development in the field of accounting has been an increasing use of fair values in financial reporting. In 2005, this development was reinforced in Sweden by the adoption of the International Financial Reporting Standards. The aim of this thesis is to discuss the problems related to the use of fair values, through a case study of the Swedish investment bank Carnegie. In May 2007, Carnegie announced that the result had been overly stated by 630 MSEK, due to the valuation of derivatives within the trading department. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate differences between physically active and inactive young men and women, concerning cardio-respiratory fitness, muscular fitness and balance.

This study aimed to investigate written and oral narrative in adults. The participants consisted of 30 subjects aged 32-79 years. They produced one picture elicited and one free narrative, both written and orally. The written narratives were recorded in a keystroke logging program and the oral narratives were transcribed orthographically. Data from all the narratives were analyzed according to: number of words, words/minute, active writing time, total process time, number of characters and number of characters in the final text.

The aim of the project was to answer this question and to generate a prediction model over real estate located in the centre of Stockholm that takes seasons into account. SMED as a method of reducing time spent on die changeovers were developed in between 1950-1970, by the Japanese Shigeo Shingo.The purpose of this thesis work has been to investigate the result of SMED in a die casting facility, and compare the result from it with the result considering time spent on die changeovers when investing in new equipment. In this paper we examine the possibilities to develop the population based research in Sweden by using technological advancements. The problem that exists with population based research today is that there is a contrast between conducting important research on one side and preserving the individuals? integrity on the other. To examine this problem we are studying two projects that are active in this area. The two projects are SIMSAM (Swedish Initiative for research on Microdata in the Social and Medical Sciences) and DDB (Demografiska databasen).

The case study investigates study association representatives? perspectives on the activities of the popular education within the social sector in Örebro and why they are organized. It further investigates the cooperation and dialogue between the study associations and the municipality of Örebro regarding this activity. The study is based on critical realism. A questionnaire survey was conducted among all ten study associations in Örebro, combined with qualitative interviews with representatives from six of the active associations.

The Internet has become a communication system that includes a direct and personal communication as well as traditional mass communication. For example, the Internet has become a channel for self-publishing. It provides opportunities for discussion and blogs can be woven together into a dialogue between network users. The conversation is both personalised and addressed to the wider community. Our study is based on how fashion bloggers perceive their role as a fashion blogger, and how young women, 18 to 30 years old, in Sundsvall, perceive fashion blogs.We chose to conduct qualitative research and held qualitative interviews and focus groups. Since fashion blogs are a relatively new phenomenon, we chose to do interviews with the active fashion bloggers, Nina Johansson and Karolina Skande, to use them as informants.
