This paper analyses the potential extent of labour mobility in the European Union after the eastern enlargement that took place in 2004, but focuses on movements from the 10 new member countries to the old EU -members. In this study, a number of economic models are used to investigate if there is a large potential for labour mobility in the enlarged EU and also if this potential has large effects on mobility in reality. The potential for labour mobility is, to a large extent, discussed in terms of theoretical migrating incitements for workers and different types of labour migration obstacles. Many factors indicate that such large potential for migration actually exists, mainly due to high difference in wages and unemployment and because of the common EU market. At the same time, the presence of natural and constructed obstacles is likely to restrict migration for a long period of time..

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the correlation between the price of electric power and investments within the Swedish basic industry. Using regression analysis, the authors test for correlation between the electricity prices and the basic industry, defined as the pulp and paper industry, the mining industry, the steel and metal industry and the basic chemical industry. Moreover, five variables found in the literature on investment decisions are being used as a means of comparison. The results suggest that the electricity price affects the investment decisions within the basic chemical industry as well as the steel and metal industry. On a more abstract level, this thesis contributes to the understanding of one of the properties of the Swedish GDP..

Studiens syfte var att undersöka förekomsten av mobbning och sexuella trakasserier vid ett industriföretag. 330 kollektivanställda och tjänstemän vid Företaget besvarade en enkät där de ombads ange i vilken utsträckning de utsatts för kränkande beteenden samt uppge vilken arbetsrelation de hade till de som utsatt dem för handlingarna. Resultaten påvisade samband mellan förekomsten av mobbning och sexuella trakasserier. Kön, ålder och anställningsform hade betydelse för i vilken utsträckning sexuella trakasserier upplevdes. Anställningsform hade även betydelse för vem som angavs som förövare av kränkningarna.

Hoten är många i ett informationssäkerhetssystem och det är viktigt att ha fungerande säkerhetslösningar. Övergripande för en fungerande säkerhet är en informationssäkerhetspolicy. I informationssäkerhetspolicyn står de övergripande målen som organisationen har för säkerheten. Det är viktigt att ledningen tydligt klargör vad som gäller inom organisationen. Det räcker inte att bara ha en informationssäkerhetspolicy utan ledningen måste se till så att de anställda också har en hög säkerhetsmedvetenhet.

The liberal state, it has been argued, must be neutral between different conceptions of the good. Embodying ideals such as fairness and impartiality, state neutrality is intuitively appealing, but working as a restraint for state actions it is somewhat unsatisfactory. People make mistakes about their lives and people live less valuable lives than they could do. To then restrain the state from doing as much good as it can seems just as unappealing as neutrality at first seemed appealing. In this paper, a possible solution to this dilemma is presented.

The essay's purpose is to find out why municipalities engaged in local labor market policies and the study focused on a smaller survey unit. In the paper an analysis is made of the Torsås municipality's labor market policy. The work also intends to structure the political organization and their cooperation with other players. The survey methods used were interviews and a case study. The essay results are based on two interviews.

The study aims to give a description of the conditions in which matters is prepared withinSwedish Government`s offices, to describe the adaptive capacity in the agency`s internalprocesses by investigating the experiences of some civil servants restricted to the Ministry ofEnterprise and the Ministry of Environment in their work with the EU Maritime Policy GreenPaper. The results have been analyzed against the basis of eight identified criteria of buildingadaptive capacity in socially dominated systems. The criteria are comprised of both individualand organizational abilities. Only two of them were fully met; the criteria about diversity inexperiences and knowledge and the criteria about information and how the information hasbeen applied. However, the process has traces of all the identified criteria.

This thesis focuses on how sewdish politicians try to argue to get other EU-countries to accept a larger responsibility for refugees. Since the war in Iraq broke out in 2003 there have been a great increse in the number of refugees arriving to Europe. Sweden have accepted a very large part of these refugees. This have sparked a debate in Sweden aboute how reasonable it is that sweden accepts a proportionaly much larger number of refugees than other countries within the EU. The swedish gouvernment policy is that responisbility for refugees and migration is something that should be shared by all members of the union.

I denna uppsats vill jag undersöka om likviditeten har någon effekt vid uppskattning av volatiliteten.

Den här uppsatsen handlar om kompetensutvecklingens betydelse och utformning för de socionomer som är anställda i kommunalt socialt arbete, belyst både ur organisations- och professionsperspektiv. Jag har formulerat en rad frågeställningar utifrån de tre huvudområdena kompetensutveckling, medarbetarsamtal och samarbete om kompetensutvecklingsfrågor. I uppsatsen har jag undersökt hur socionomernas kunskapskällor ser ut och vilka kompetensutvecklingsmöjligheter som finns och efterfrågas. Jag har även tagit reda på hur viktig kompetensutvecklingen är för socionomerna och vad det är som styr kompetensutvecklingen samt vilka kompetensutvecklingsstrategier som tillämpas. Har socionomerna regelbundna medarbetarsamtal och hur är kvaliteten på dessa? Resulterar samtalen i en individuell utvecklingsplan där hänsyn tas till eventuella kompetensutvecklingsbehov? Jag har också undersökt hur samarbetet ser ut mellan arbetsplatserna och universitet/högskolor/FoU och om arbetsplatsen har ett organiserat samarbete med andra utbildare samt om det finns ett samarbete med andra arbetsplatser när det gäller kompetensutvecklingsfrågor.

In this thesis I analyse and discuss what impact the 2003 U.S lead intervention in Iraq, had for the cooperation against global terrorism between the European Union and the United States. Six years have passed since the Bush administration decided to go on with the intervention, even though they did not have the necessary UN mandate. Due to unsuccessful argumentation in favour of the intervention by the Bush administration, the world got divided. George W. Bush reference to a ?war on terror?, which passed almost unnoticed by Americans, rang alarm bells in many European countries.

This paper deals with a partly new development in the Swedish law system, somewhere in the boundary between political science and jurisprudence. A new instrument -artbrott- has successively become more popular among lawyers and politicians. The new instrument -here translated to classified crimes- signifies that the perpetrator is sentenced to prison even though the seriousness of the crime committed is not in itself serious enough for such a consequence. The reason for this policy stance is to create a prevention against crime of that specific character among the public. The use of this instrument has grown considerably both concerning types of crimes as well as in application.

Kunder i dagens konkurrenstäta samhälle kräver mer eller mindre att företag tar ett ansvar gentemot samhället. Ansvarstagande av denna typ kallas, internationellt, för Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). En entydig definition saknas, men övergripande talas det om att företag tar ekonomiskt, socialt, etiskt och miljömässigt ansvar. Genom att arbeta med denna typ av verksamhet visar företag att de verkar för kundernas intresse. Debatter pågår dock om företag gör detta för att stå sig i konkurrensen eller för att de verkligen eftersträvar ett hållbart samhälle.

The aim of this Master?s thesis was to find out more about the delimiting quality- and shelf-life parameters over time for liquid oat-based products. According to that, to present applicable subjective and objective shelf-life test approaches at accelerated conditions. The study aimed to gain a deeper knowledge concerning the general and accepted way of performing accelerated storage tests. This study focused especially on products, which suffer from quality failure caused by oxidation, such as liquid oat-based products.
