Bakgrund: Yoga förklaras som ett tillstånd som förenar kroppen, själen och anden och fokuserar på harmoni och helhet i människan. Ashtanga är en kraftfull yogaform där förbestämda positioner knyts samman med hjälp av en återkommande rörelsesekvens, vinyasan. Yoga har visat ha effekt på psykiska förmågor såsom ökad koncentrationsförmåga, samt fysiska förmågor som ökad syreupptagningsförmåga och ledrörlighet. Syfte: Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka hur ashtangayoga fyra dagar i veckan under åtta veckor påverkade koncentrationsförmåga, syreupptagningsförmåga och rörlighet hos två friska individer. Metod: Två kvinnor, 25 och 29 år gamla tränade under åtta veckor ashtangayoga fyra dagar i veckan.

AbstractThe overall aim of this study is to show how phonological awareness develops during the first school year and how this can be affected by different teaching materials and working methods. Two classes are compared in the study. One of the classes has digital teaching material and the other class has traditional teaching material. The study seeks to show to what extent there are differences between the groups? phonological awareness.

Könsskillnader i kognitiva förmågor antas vanligtvis bero på en kombination av evolutionära, sociala och biologiska orsaker. En kompletterande förklaring presenteras i denna undersökning, nämligen betydelsen av ohälsa. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hälsans betydelse för könsskillnader i prestation på test av verbalt flöde och visuospatial förmåga, två kognitiva funktioner där forskningen har dokumenterat könsskillnader. 32 kvinnliga och 21 manliga psykologistudenter som i genomsnitt var 29 år deltog. De kontaktades genom ett anslag vid Psykologiska institutionen i Stockholm.

   Kroppens syreupptagningskinetik innebär hur snabbt syreupptagningsmekanismerna i kroppen ökar mängden upptaget syre (O2) vid ett påbörjat arbete. Detta påverkar oss dagligen genom att en snabbare reaktion leder till en mindre syreskuld efter arbetet. Syftet med studien var att jämföra VO2-kinetiken mellan ett arm- och benarbete och ett rent benarbete och försöka hitta skillnader mellan dessa. Åtta måttligt tränade försökspersoner (sex män och två kvinnor) rekryterades och fick genomgå tre tester på en specialbyggd arm- och bencykelergometer. Testerna bestod av ett VO2-maxtest (kombinerad arm- och benarbete), ett submaximalt arm- och bentest (AB) och ett submaximal bentest (B) på samma absolut arbetsintensitet (65 % av VO2max) där VO2-kinetik mättes under fyra minuters arbete.

SammanfattningInom den kommunala rehabiliteringen möter arbetsterapeuten personer med vitt skilda slag av sjukdomar och funktionsnedsättningar. En av de vanligare grupperna är personer, som av olika skäl drabbas av kognitiva nedsättningar. Arbetsterapeuten bedömer personer med kognitiva funktionsnedsättningar bl.a. med hjälp av olika bedömningsinstrument. Screening -instrumentet Mini Mental Test (MMT) är ett av de mest använda.

Baled silage has become one of the most important conservation methods in Sweden. Because we take our grass as silage we get the quality and the good hygenic that we would like to have. Silage has become a big buisiness also in the horse feeding where many of the breeders have changed from the hay to the hay-silage. The difference between regular silage and haysilage is that the hay silage is dryer (60-70%DM). The hay-silage has also put higher demands on machinery and wrapping material since the grass gets sharper and harder to press together real hard. The main reason for the test was to compare two different systems for wrapping, the new Cross Pac and conventional.

According to the National Agency for Education 06-06-2010 are approximately 115 000 students graduating from Secondary School in the year of 2010.Out of these students, we know that thousands of them are hampered by reading and writing disabilities in various degrees. Have these students been given the best support needed when it comes to writing and reading?Compensation may be perceived as a goal for the pupil to catch up with the rest of the educational group or as a vehicle to go round the difficulties. In Sweden, diagnosed dyslexics are not allowed to use speech synthesis, a compensatory technical aid, during the 9th degree national tests.This study?s purpose is to discover if the usage of speech synthesis during the national test of Swedish and reading comprehension might work as a motivation booster for the students and consequently increase their test scores.This is a quantitative study including study including 15 pupils with diagnosed reading and writing disabilities.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om det finns skillnad i rörelsekontroll av ländryggen mellan personer med ospecifik ländryggssmärta och friska.Metod: Två sjukgymnaster bedömde hur 36 videofilmade försökspersoner (18 personer med ospecifik ländryggssmärta och 18 friska) klarade att utföra de tre testen; stående knälyft, statiskt och dynamiskt utfallssteg. Bedömarna, som var vana att bedöma rörelsekontrolltest, granskade videofilmerna och antalet icke korrekt utförda delmoment av testen antecknades på ett standardiserat protokoll. Analys av skillnader i rörelsekontroll mellan grupperna avseende antalet icke korrekt utförda delmoment beräknades med Mann-Whitney U test. För analys av skillnader mellan grupperna avseende antalet personer med helt korrekt utförda test användes Chi 2-test. Signifikansnivån sattes till p<0.05.Resultat: Ingen signifikant skillnad i rörelsekontroll mellan grupperna påvisades för antalet icke korrekt utförda delmoment för alla test sammantaget (p= 0.15) eller för de tre testen var för sig (stående knälyft p= 0.39, statiskt utfallssteg p= 0.13, dynamiskt utfallssteg p= 0.06).

Coordinator of public health has recently become a new profession in the field of Health Promotion. During the last few years the pedagogic perspective has been increasingly important for the coordinators as a way of adapting their work methods to the circumstances. The conditions for coordinators of public health differ between municipalities and thus their tasks and responsibilities may vary with the local structure. According to the literature there are several ways to conduct Health Promotion and it is in the hands of the coordinator to adjust the methods to fit local conditions. The purpose of the study was to examine what influences the coordinators of public health and how that affects their work methods.

The intention of this study is to perform a content analysis based on a theoretical framework founded on multi-level governance, MLG. The thesis examines the formal changes within employment politics between 1999 and 2004 (Sweden´s action plan for employment) and 1998 and 2007 (the spring budget proposition). I will investigate how multi-level governance has effected the Swedish employment politics. Furthermore, the purpose of the thesis and the questions under consideration are: How have the formal structures within Swedish employment politics changed since Sweden?s admission to the European union, particularly during the periods 1997-2008 and 1999-2004? And: How do the changes in Sweden, together with the European union directive concerning employment, coincide in the so-called employment strategy?While performing the analysis I have focused on multi-level governance.

Does goodwill affect the cost of capital? Goodwill is an asset which is characterized by much uncertainty regarding both what it is and how much it is really worth. Based on economic theory about information risk and principal-agent problems as well as theory regarding the cost of capital we test for the hypothesis that debt and equity investors perceive goodwill as something risky and hence demand compensation for taking on this extra risk. The proxies used for the cost of capital are cost of debt, beta and the EP-ratio. On a general level we find that increasing the level of goodwill seems to result in higher cost of capital as represented by the three proxies.

Background: Since1994, the EU NickelDirective is limiting the release of nickel from objects that are in prolongedcontact with skin. Despite this, nickel is still the most common cause of contactallergy in industrialized countries. This could implicate that other productswith short contact to the skin, which are not restricted by EU´s legislation inREACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicalsubstances), could be a source of nickel or cobalt exposure. There is no limitfor cobalt release within REACH. This student report is about canine atopic dermatitis It includes a description of the immunologic mechanisms and how the reaction affects the body. The symptoms are various, most common is pruritus, erythema and alopecia and directly associated with the immunologic reaction. The diagnostic process includes symptoms, physical findings, differential diagnosis, intradermal test and serological test. The options of treatment are several and vary for each patient. The report includes hyposensitization, medical treatment such as corticosteroids, antihistamin and cyclosporine, topical treatment, fatty acid supplements and environmental treatment.
