Background: The literature concerning M&A has thus far concentrated on the merging companies, and on what kind of effects an Acquisition has on these companies. The effects on the involved companies´ (customers and) suppliers have largely been ignored in the M & A literature. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyse how the suppliers relationships to the aquired company are influenced by an Acquisition and how the suppliers handle the following situation. Method: The paper has been carried out in the form of a case-study and we have interviewed some suppliers to the automotive industry. Results: The full effect on the suppliers relationships to Volvo has not been seen yet, due to the fact that only two years has passed since the Acquisition and that the current products have a lifecycle of 3-5 years.

The Acquisition process as an object for research and empirical studies have increased in importance during the past decade. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate this process further. This was done by reviewing previous research covering the area of mergers and Acquisitions. Seven key factors that should be considered in an Acquisition process emerged; Acquisition project management, planning, communication between the acquirer and the potential target, goal alignment within management, company-cultures, a trade-off between a certain speed in integrating the companies and consideration of the employees, and finally the follow-up. These factors have been shown to increase the likelihood of value creation in Acquisitions.

This thesis is about new technology in academic libraries in the form of Patron Driven Acquisition. As libraries take part in the digital era, a new model of patron driven Acquisition has emerged. This model gives users more influence over the libraries electronic book collection. The collection development model changes libraries traditional role in the collection development process, from collecting for the future to the present.The purpose of this thesis is to gain knowledge of what Acquisition librarians think about the effects of PDA on the collection, the Acquisitions role and the cost structure. The theoretical framework relies on Christensen?s theory about disruptive technology and was used to interpret outcomes of new technology in libraries and its staff.Five librarians from four different Swedish university libraries were interviewed using a qualitative semi-structured method to carry out the investigative part of this thesis.

Purpose: The puspose with our essay is to investigate how an Acquisition can affect leadership. We want to specialize us by analysing how a leadership and the employees in a smaller company can be affected by an Acquisition by a larger organization. We also want to investigate how a good leadership should be in a small company due to an Acquisition.Methodology: This essay is based on a qualitative method.Theoretical: We have used theories concerning leadership, theories about small and large organizations and theories about consequences after an Acquisition. Empirical foundation: Our empirics are based on stories from our five interviews from employees and leaders in Experian.Conclusions: Consequences can appear due to an Acquisition. Only mild consequences appeared in the case of Marknadsananalys.

This bachelor thesis aims to analyse the effects of changes in management control systems following Acquisitions, and deduce whether or not these effects are in line with the acquiring firm's objectives of the Acquisition. Through a case study of technician consultant firm Energo, acquired in 2010 by ÅF, the study assumes the perspective of the acquired firm. Data has been collected through in-depth interviews at Energo and ÅF and complemented by internal documents to enrich and validate specific facts and statements. Data was then arranged and analysed through Otley and Fierriera's (2009) framework Performance Management Systems to understand how management control systems were constituted before the Acquisition, what changes were made following the Acquisition, how this process was accomplished and how it was experienced, in order to come to conclusions about the effects of these changes. The study concludes that the changes in Energo's management control system following the integration with ÅF, had significant effects on the outcome of the Acquisition, primarily as it led to a high rate of Energo's employees resigning.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how Acquisition of film for children and young adults in public libraries is carried out. The aim is to investigate why the librarians think a library should have film, if the librarians are bound by Acquisition policies and where they retrieve information about films. We also want to know where the films are bought, how the distributors are perceived and how the librarians see their own sphere of competence. The thesis is a qualitative study and is based on interviews with children?s librarians in six public libraries.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine what effect two different models of Acquisition have on user satisfaction with information resources at academic libraries. The two models examined are the traditional model where a subject specialist librarian makes the selection, and the user-governed model where the larger part of the selection is based on user requests. The scope is the libraries of Roskilde University, which employs the traditional Acquisition model and Malmö University, which employs the user-governed. Both libraries have a user-oriented approach to Acquisition. The study encompasses a close examination of the Acquisition policy through document analysis and interviews with the librarians in charge of Acquisitions at each university, as well as a user-satisfaction survey among the professors and senior teachers on two faculties at each university respectively.

The purpose with this exam project has been to explore how satisfied the buyers of forest land have been with their real estate broker through the transfer process. The respondents had the opportunity to rate a number of different questions around the current Acquisition. A questionnaire with 19 Acquisition-related questions was sent to 134 people. The aim of the study is to gain a deepened understanding of various methods used for reading Acquisition, how teachers? are dealing with these methods and what aspects require special attention. The overall research question of the thesis is: How can one assess children?s future reading ability and identify a method that is appropriate to this ability? The overall aim leads to several more specifically addressed issues.In the theoretical part, different perspectives and theories about reading Acquisition are presented along with different methods for how to work in order to facilitate reading.

This study aims to investigate, describe and discuss the views of group new arrived pupils from the preparatory training to the compulsory school level. They all came to Sweden and started in the preparatory training there they also started studying Swedish as a second language. This study aims to investigate the creation of identities and how the pupils socialize in the Swedish school. The study has been conducted with respect to the pupil´s own perspectives and what they consider important.The methods used are interviews together with an interpreter. Their voices are used and described in this paper.
