For a school library to function as a support for the students? development of their academic abilities, it must provide material satisfying their needs as well as the needs of the teachers. The school library should assist the students in their research endeavours, as well as inspire reading for pleasure. In order to do this it is imperative that the school library actively develops the existing collection and continually strives to meet the needs of its users. The aim of this Master?s thesis is to describe and reflect upon how a particular school library works with collection development.

 My field is Korpus and in this project I am investigating what role that plays for me as an artist connected to craft. To really get close to, and understand Korpus I have deconstructed it to find clues to why the silversmithing field looks like it does and how we got here. I believe Korpus has not yet come out of the closet for what it really can be. That it carries a great heritage of traditions and preconceptions that it would do well to shake off a little bit of. Can Korpus as an art field really survive in Sweden, where the Church has no power and silverware is no longer a need to demonstrate ones economic prosperity at an important dinner party? To help myself get closer to these objects I have given my own definition of Korpus.

Antalet anhörigvårdare i Sverige är många. För att de anhöriga ska orka vårda sina närstående 24 timmar om dygnet, sju dagar i veckan behöver det finnas ett stöd. De anhörigstöd som finns varierar från kommun till kommun. Ett anhörigstöd som har utarbetats för att underlätta insatsbehovet är COAT- Carers Outcome Agreement Tool som syftar till att kartlägga anhörigas behov, planera och följa upp anhörigstöd. COAT har en grund i partnerskapsmodellen och i modellen ses den anhörige som experten på situationen runt den närstående.

Bakgrund: I takt med att fler företag blir allt mer kunskapsintensiva ökar konkurrensen om kompetent personal. En konsekvens av detta är att lönesättningen har blivit ett konkurrensmedel, varvid olika typer av optionsprogram uppstått. Redovisningen inom området har dock inte utvecklats i samma takt, varför en rekommendation på området behövs för att redovisningen skall upprätthålla sin trovärdighet. Optionsprogrammen kan betraktas som ett substitut för lön. Utifrån detta torde därför dessa tas upp som en kostnad i årsredovisningen för att ge en mer rättvisande bild av företagets ekonomiska ställning.

The purpose of the study is to examine and problematize how the ego affects musicians and dancers. Important factors that shape the ego is the artists educational background and experience within the artistic subjekt. Hence, the purpose is also to find out how these factors affecting the ego. I wanted other artists practitioners? thoughts on the subjekt, therefore I chose to interview four people, two musicians and two dancers.

Denna studie syftar till att förstå de före detta kriminellas problematik relaterat till stigmatiseringsprocessen. Studien vill bidra med en förståelse till hur före detta kriminella upplever den stigmatisering som finns i samhället. Frågeställningarna bygger kring stigmatiseringsprocessen och behandlar områden på organisatorisk, social och teknisk nivå av denna process. Den organisatoriska nivån hanterar de samhälleliga organisationer som bidrar till utanförskapet. Den sociala nivån beskriver de sociala relationerna som är av betydelse för integreringen.

I vår studie har vi undersökt om svenska controllers utför arbetsuppgifter som är att betrakta som controlleruppgifter. Vi har även undersökt om yrket påminner om en profession eller om den är på väg mot att bli en sådan.Studien är baserad på personliga intervjuer med två controllers verksamma på forsknings- och utvecklingsavdelningen i sina respektive företag samt med forsknings- och utvecklingschefen i det ena företaget.Resultaten av studien visar att de controllers som studerats utför arbetsuppgifter som är att betrakta som controlleruppgifter men att det dessutom för en av dem förekom arbetsuppgifter vilka ligger utanför det som vår studerade teori betecknar som controlleruppgifter. Det föreligger tecken på att yrket har vissa likheter med en profession men att den har en lång väg att vandra innan denna status kan uppnås..

Achievements within the fields of computer- and telecommunication technology have led to a revolution when it comes to managing information. These achievements have made it possible to offer new services in healthcare, especially in telemedicine. New technology has become a complement to traditional care, thus partly compensating for insufficient time and resources. Telephone Linked Care (TLC) is a telecommunication technology that enables automated dialog counselling and monitoring of patients in their homes. During the last two decades numerous randomized controlled studies with TLC have demonstrated improvement among outpatients with chronic and health behaviour disorders.

Inom redovisningsområdet finns två olika redovisningstraditioner, den kontinentala samt den anglosaxiska. Den kontinentala traditionen innebär mer reglerad redovisning än den anglosaxiska traditionen när det gäller formen på redovisningshandlingar, ordningsföljder i balans och resultaträkning. Sverige har länge följt den kontinentala traditionen men har mer och mer gått över till den anglosaxiska och det som finns kvar av det kontinentala är mest av formell karaktär. Medlemsstaterna i EU fick viss frihet i hur direktiven skulle implementeras samt uttolkas och det ledde till flera olika tolkningar av begreppet "true and fair view". I Sverige översattes begreppet "true and fair view" till rättvisande bild.

During the Swedish banking crisis in the early 1990?s, the government paid out 65 billion Swedish kronor to save Swedish banks from bankruptcy. In the process, two banks left the private sector to be taken over by the state. This thesis builds on a study from 1998 in seeking to quantify the financial end result for the Swedish government from the subsidies. Taking a cash flow approach and accounting for the time difference, it starts with the money paid out during the years of crisis and subtracts the money that has since been returned to the government by successful management of the relinquished assets.

Företagsledarna i undersökningen har stora förväntningar på revisorn. Företagsledarna anser att den fristående rådgivningen får vara ganska omfattande, för att företaget ska kunna få all hjälp de behöver. P.g.a. detta anser företagsledarna att det inte finns något olämpligt område för revisorn att rådgiva inom. Revisorerna i undersökningen sätter däremot en gräns för rådgivningen med hjälp av de etiska reglerna, och lämnar över de uppdrag som de anser att någon annan har mer kompetens för att utföra.

This thesis investigates clinical nurses? information seekingand information use through semi-structured interviews withsix nurse practitioners, nurses with further education.Previous research shows that nurses have problemsimplementing evidence-searching at the clinic because oforganization, stress and heritage of an old practice that doesnot incorporate the academic education.The theoretical framework consists of T.D. Wilson?sinformation seeking behavior model and R.H. Orr?s model ofinformation needs.

For over 40 years, there's been a debate in Sweden of whether it's good or bad with maintenance therapy for heroin addicts. This method is far more acknowledged in other parts of Europe and in USA. The aim of this paper was to explore how public actors manifest their thoughts concerning the subject of the substitution program in Sweden. This approach includes the complex of problems that can be found in statements and the discourses that these operators stand for and support. In my analysis the philosophical thread was principally based on Michael Foucault ideas, but also on other theories related to social constructionism.

The recent accounting scandals in large companies in both USA and Europe, such as Enron and Scandia, have led to a huge debate about the quality of financial reports approved by auditors who, at the same time, offer consultancy service to their audit clients. Many researchers and experts argued that there is a role conflict when an auditor offers consultancy service to audit clients. They argue that the main duty of an auditor is to verify the truthfulness of the company's financial statements. Giving consultancy service to the audit clients will impair the auditor's role to examine the company's books independently because of the economic bond between auditors and audit clients.As a result of the Enron scandal, the legislators in the USA have made restrictions to how auditors provide non-audit service to audit clients. However, the legislators in Sweden, unlike the US, did not choose to introduce such restrictions.

This study investigates the value relevance of goodwill impairments for equity investors in Swedish listed companies. We provide insight on whether goodwill impairments are value relevant before as well as after the implementation of IFRS 3 and IAS 36. We express market value of equity as a function of book value of equity; net income excluding goodwill impairments and goodwill impairments, using the Ohlson valuation model and Hellström's price regression. Our findings suggest that goodwill impairments are statistically value relevant for equity investors. Prior to the implementation of IFRS 3 and IAS 36, our findings imply that equity investors respond negatively to goodwill impairments.
