Aktuell forskning har visat att psykologiska faktorer spelar en viktig roll för upplevelsen av långvarig smärta. Denna studie undersökte effekterna av en KBT-behandling bestående av introceptiv exponering och avslappning för patienter med långvarig smärta. Studien använde en single-subject design där sex smärtpatienter genomgick en sex veckor lång individuell behandling. De variabler studien undersökte var i första hand förändringar gällande grad av acceptans samt upplevd smärtintensitet, i andra hand förändringar gällande smärtrelaterad ångest, rörelserädsla, katastroftankar samt funktion. Deltagande i behandlingen var förknippat med ökad acceptans, förbättrad funktion, minskad smärtintensitet, minskad smärtrelaterad ångest, mindre katastroftankar samt minskad rörelserädsla.

Åtta kvantitativa studier inkluderades i den systematiska litteraturöversikten.Resultat: Rädslan i samband med ingrepp minskades genom att ge barnen möjlighet att tänka på något annat och få emotionellt stöd. Föräldrarnas beteende och engagemang visade sig påverka effektiviteten av avledningsmetoder.Slutsats: Eftersom rädslan i samband med ingrepp minskades vid användning av olika avledningsmetoder bör avledningsmetoder användas mer i klinisk verksamhet. Vidare forskning med större deltagarantal behövs för att resultaten ska bli generaliserbara.

The aim of this paper is to examine if the two latest Peace Plans in the Palestine-Israeli con-flict observes the sources of the conflict and presents measures in the purpose of solving them. The point of departure is William Azar?s theory of protracted social conflict (PSC). According to Azar, the internal sources of a PSC lies in three clusters of variables: the com-munal content of a society, the deprivation of human needs as an underlying source of PSC, and the role of the state in the deprivation or satisfaction of human needs. The study is de-signed as a multiple-case study where the units of analysis are the Roadmap to Peace and the Geneva Initiative.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to investigate the factors that contribute to childrens feelings of enjoyment and wellbeing while reading pleasure reading. The research is founded on qualitative interviews with eight children aged between 9 and 12 years. In the review of the literature different theories of reading experiences are examined and the theory of flow is used to analyse and interpret childrens statements of reading experiences. The theory of flow has not been developed to investigate reading but aims to describe and explain when and how people experience happiness and joy. The results of this study reveal that many different factors influence childrens reading.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze how people feel after being injured with stroke. The similarity between the Russian and the Indian, in a Cold War context, may be ambiguous considering the ethnic-social variables and the period in time from where the Indians relate. However, by analyzing these, as well as other, characters in the exhibition of movies, we could learn something about the ideology of the time from which the movies derive.This study examines ideology and movies in the Cold War era and concludes that the Indian, for example, may be representing the values of the common public enemy, originating from the Cold War ideology. The movies examined, regardless of influence of distinct Cold War themes or lack of such themes, carry attributes that give evidence of typical Cold War ideology. The fear of communism and common enemies connected to a Cold War context, the thought of America as the land of the free ? with the horizon in the ending of the movies as metaphoric to freedom ? and the moral rhetoric that connects to the American thought of a duty as a global savior, are all signs of the Cold War ideology.Even though the messages are somewhat clearer and more distinct in the movies with Cold War motifs, the fact that ideology is projected through other movies as well should be considered essential for the continuing study of movies as cultural artefacts..

Det är sjuksköterskans ansvar att skapa förutsättningar för patienten att hantera sin stickrädsla och tillgodose patientens grundläggande omvårdnadsbehov. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka stickrädsla hos vuxna patienter och deras erfarenheter av lindrande omvårdnadsåtgärder. Metod: En allmän litteraturstudie baserad på fem kvantitativa artiklar, tre kvalitativa och en där båda metoder tillämpats.

A good flow of information in organizations is one of the key aspects of how we define a well-functioning organization. The information flow could be internal as well as external between actors within as well as outside of the organization. In a logistics organization this flow of information is equally important as in any other kind of organization. In this paper we have explored information flows in logistics organizations by applying, boundary spanning and the mobile-stationary divide perspective. In boundary spanning the main goal is to erase or relocate some of the boundaries within an organization, in our case to make the flow of information internally as well as externally better.

Långvarig muskuloskeletal smärta är ett stort problem bland Sveriges befolkning idag. Vid långvarig muskuloskeletal smärta behövs copingstrategier för att möjliggöra hanteringen av smärtan. Vilka strategier en individ använder sig av är beroende på individens livshistoria. Det är av vikt att sjuksköterskan har ett holistiskt synsätt för att kunna ge stöd åt individen vid valet av copingstrategier. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att identifiera copingstrategier hos individer med långvarig muskuloskeletal smärta.

Abstract:Ambulance nurses have in their everyday work a varied work environment, the pace of work can quickly shift from being calm and structured to be a severe acute situation.Objective: The aim of the study was to describe how professional nurses in the ambulance operations experience their physical and mental work environment in daily practice.Method: A qualitative interview study with semi structured questions was used. The study group consisted of two women and three men, ages between 27?42 years. The study was carried out on an ambulance station in central Sweden. Based on collected data, a qualitativecontent analysis was performed that resulted in three categories.Results: The result showed that the ambulance nurses regarded that it was a lot of heavy lifting.

This is an essay concerning the differences between boys? and girls? way of learning and how this difference influences the teaching in the technology subject. The method is divided in two. The first part is based on a survey over literature about teaching girls and boys in the technology subject. The second part is based on interviews with three male teachers in the same subject.

The concept of sustainable development is a challenge that demands cooperation from all levels of society for it to be successful. The focus for this thesis is how politicians within the local councils understand the concept of sustainable development and how they implement it in political decision-making.The basis for the study is a questionnaire that was distributed to 303 local politicians in three municipalities of varying size in Southern Sweden. The study concentrates on departments within the local councils that are directly connected to the Swedish environmental law and the Swedish planning and construction law. One of the primary goals with the aforementioned laws is the achievement of sustainable development within one generation.The outcome of the study was that over half of the local politicians could correctly define sustainable development according to the World Commission on Environment and Development?s (WCED) definition.
